Our first impression was very good. The man that came tu pick us up at the airport was very polite and we didn't have to wait for him.

However, when we arrived at the rental shop, we had to deal with a very hateful man at the counter. First we were practically scolded because "we didn't have credit card buy debit card". I asked if we could give him the number of a credit card but grumbled that we needed to have the card with us… (???!!! Why???!!!)… Anyway…. After 10 minutes of waiting (with my handicaped mother and my 4 months old baby at 9pm), we finally paid an extra 140 dollars insurance fee and let a 150 euros deposit in cash… Then the angry man brought us the splandide white fiat panda and made me sign a paper as quick as possible (telling me "don't worry about the stains or anything, you took the insurance so we won't look at that when you come back… ").

Last but not least, he tried to set up the baby seat we paid for…. Since he didn't quite succeed and because the seat was so bad attached, he tried to wedge it with the front seat…. And said to me "now it's ok you can go"… Furious and horrified (we are talking about security and especially putting in danger the life of a 4 months old baby!!!), I told him I couldn't put my baby in there… He answered " I don't have to do it. I'm doing it to help you. You can do it yourself if you want… " And so I did as he went back in the shop…

The panda is ok but we took several pictures of stains or anything abnormal on the car and I'm telling you, if they try to charge us for any damage, I will go to the police to press charges and report them to the ambassy if needed!!!

To be short, DO NOT GO THERE!!!

We rented a car from abbycar for our 1-week holyday on Rhodes. And we will never do business with them again. Here鈥檚 why.

1) The car has to be pickup at the office, a 10 minutes drive from the airport, and the shuttle bus will only take the registered chauffeur of the car with him, leaving the rest of the family in the airport for more the 45 min
2) At the office the tried the usual 鈥測ou have to buy more insurance鈥?trick for doublet the price that I already payed for the rent of the car WITH an extra premium insurance. Instead they booked an extra 1350 EUR om my credit card, withs was not agreed on.
3) The contact said 鈥渢he car comes with a full tank鈥?but I was only half full, making more difficult to return with same amount of gas
4) But worst of all, they had run out of car in the size that I ordered and payed for, and tried to force a much smaller car on to me (they did the same with 2 other cupels next to me, 1 rejected and canceled the car, losing all his money). First after a long discussion, raising my voice, keeping demanding to get the right car, they suddenly found the right sized car!

Used Abbycar from Chania Airport Crete for our last few visits and each time the service has been quick, friendly and with no problems at all. The cars have always been in good condition and they're quick to communicate before pickup too.

Honestly if I could give them 0 stars I would, arrived in Corfu late last night to collect our car which we paid for only to be told as we didn't have a credit card with the driver's name we would have to pay 鈧?0 p/d to take the car for insurance purposes. The man at the desk then tried to tell us the taxis are extrortinate ( which they aren't ) and when we went to leave said he could haggle this insurance price down, proving how unnecessary it was to begin with. We left and have filed the cost as sunk but please do not rent with this company unless you want to loose out on cash.

Having used Abbycar several times in Crete, we didn't think twice to hire from them again but in Kos for 2 weeks this year. Car had slight damage on both sides on pick-up (hence 4 stars, photo'd it thoroughly for peace of mind) but no problems or quibbles experienced on drop-off. Car Drove well, Kos is a dusty island so recommend putting it through a carwash prior to drop-off as we did (worth the 5-10 Euro). The office is 100 yds up the airport access road opposite the fuel station and supermarket. Will use again – possibly with a slightly larger-engined vehicle.

We had an awesome experience! Got a better car for the price, the staff was super friendly, the branch was easy to find (own shuttle car to the branch) and giving back the car was also easy.

I have rented car from Abby Car in Santorini a month ago. I have reserved car with All Inclusive option with 0 EURO excesses. I have came early to the Santorini – 40 minutes because of the plane which came fast. After I got out of airport I have been searching anyone from Abby Car by 20 minutes. Finally some guy (later on very rude) was driving shuttle AbbyCar. In 9 passenger car he have two passengers. I have stopped him and he ask what I want. I have told him that I have reservation – he check and told me that my flight should be landing later so I cannot pickup car now, because car is not ready. I have told him that I have my wife and little son – infant. He doesn't care – even more he scream at me (maybe the call this behavior good service in Santorini) and told me to wait. I was waiting on 8:00 p.m. with my wife and son on sidewalk by 40 minutes. After that he came for me and we go to rental station. On the website I have reserved Peugeot 208 – the new one. What I got? 11 years old Hyundai i20 with many scratches and 180 000 km millage. Where old car with paint falling off in interior of car. I have jump to the car and didn't take special pictures of the car because I have purchase all inclusive option with 0 EURO Excesses and all inclusive.

I was riding car by one week. In this time I have one situation with parking. I was parking in very. narrow. and. little parking spot and made minor. scratch on back bump. About 11-12 cm. I really doesn't car. because I have insurance – all. inclusive option. They writing about this insurance on the website – you really don't need to hustle or worry on the holidays. Chillout and drive our car. So I don't care about this situation.

The horror has began when I was returning the car. The guy which have rented me car screamed at me (second time) that I have destroyed the car and cost of repairing this car will be over 2500 euros (in my option this old car in this shape which I got was worth max 2000 euro). I didn't agreed with him and told him that he should stop screaming on me. What was also strange for me, this guy lay down on the floor and touched (from the bottom) the front bump. He told me that I have also destroyed front bump, because there were scratches. I haven't any situation with front bump and I also even didn't feel that I have made something with the front bump. What is strange he know before seeing the car where to touch and what to show me. I think this the way of this company to cheat clients. Because – really? Whom of you is checking chassis of the car before rental?

After screaming he go with me to the office and told me to pay for the damage – 1000 euro. I have told him that I have 0 EURO EXCESSES. But he told that none has such as option and everyone is paying for the damage. He also told that they don't sell such a option (so what I have purchase on the website?). He call the boss and he also confirmed that, what is strange the contact center confirmed that I must pay for the damage. They told that the 0 euro excesses is only marketing and only hit and damage involved with another car is covered. They also told that I should call the police when I made scratch for the back and front bump. But how to call police to the wall or when to call police when you don't know when the scratches were made (on the front bump). If the police where in the accident they maybe will return my money. After long talk they decide to give me discount and charge me only 360 euro. Finally I have paid this because I was in hurry, wife and son waiting for airport, flight departing in few minutes. This rude guy – when driving me to the airport was assuring me that for sure the Abby will return me money.

Unfortunelty when I write and call to the Abby they don't want to return my money. They are writing some thing like that:

We would like to inform you that the all inclusive insurance and covered you in case that you have an accident
with another person.

In this case, and based on terms and conditions you are not covered as this scratch done by you or you did not put the car in a guarded
place so as not to be hit.

What is more the are highlighting this:

Reduction Cover ERC and Full Damage Waiver FDW applies to each incident of damage caused by:
飩?Impact with a moving object (where a moving object is another Vehicle)
飩?Impact with a fixed object due to a collision and/or involvement with another Vehicle (excluding animals)
飩?Fire caused by vehicle defect, including electrical fault, or from adjacent fire or explosion, criminal or terrorism acts.

What is strange I have exactly I the impact with fixed object. But they don't want to return money. I know 360 euro is not such a big deal, but for me is not so small amount. I will make everything and all effort to make sure that they will return my money. Also I will publish this comment everywhere and everyone will know what a scam company is Abby Car.

I am not recommend this company. I had very bad experience in the Rhodes. They didn't bring a car to airport and my family was leaved in airport to wait still i bring a car from their office. Latter they ask to pay for the rent additional money and i still do not understand why. The car cost during i book it was 132 EUR, but then i came to the office they ask to pay additionally 170 EU. So i pay 300 EUR for a week. It was a small nissan micra.

Awful experience! I will never recommend to anyone. I had a reservation for an Opel Astra Sedan or similar and they gave me a Seot Leon – which they said it was a big car.
After waiting for such a long time to decide if to take it or not because they don't accept Amex and I had to pay an additional 125 euros for them to take a debit card for the excess, we end up canceling everything and we looked for a different company!

Zero Kulanz. Kreditkarte zuhause vergessen, Bargeld/Kreditkarte von Partnerin/Sonstiges als Sicherheit abgelehnt. Haben das Auto nicht bekommen. Keine Erstattung. H盲tte die andere Bewertungen besser lesen sollen..

Yes you are technically right. It's all written in the terms and conditions. Nevertheless sometimes things go wrong and it is up to the company how to deal with these situations. I have offered to pay the security deposit (1200鈧?!!) in cash, buy an extra insurance, so that your company wouldn't have any risk. I even offered to pay a fee for inconvenience. But your office declined every option and refused to pay any money back leaving us clueless with our luggage in the middle of nowhere! We lost 250鈧?renting at another place, 2 hours of our vacation and a bunch of nerves. The german word Kulanz stands for "Ex gratia". It is obvious that your company is not familiar with this word.
P.S. another rental company 100m away gave us a similar car without a credit card and 200鈧?deposit.

Warning, warning Abbycar Chania!

I payed a few euros extra for VW Polo instead of a Fort Fiesta but as I arrived Nissan Micra was the only alternative. The car had many scratches and unpleasant vibrations from the engine. It should not be in use. When I returned it I asked if anyone could drive me 300 meters to the airport because of the heavy rainfall. It was late and I was the only customer. The staff were very aggressive, rude and shouted at me to get out of the car. I was chocked. I got completely wet all over. I have never ever met this attitude i Greece. I may accept the rutins not to assist customers i heavy rainfall, but the attitude of the staff is unacceptable!

They did not want to accept my credit/debit VISA card for liabilities. The only way was to pay an additional 175 EUR

I was travelling with two kids and a disabled. At 22:30 Sunday evening, there are not really any option.

Booked a car hire for week commencing 20th October 2020. Jet2.com cancelled flight 10th September. Conditions of hire stated that hire could be cancelled at no cost as long as this was done no less than 48hours before start of hire period. This was more than 5 weeks notice. Website only offered a voucher with conditions that were impossible for me to meet. Small print in contract gave email address to apply to for refund, so I applied and a prompt reply told me to apply to Cartrawler, which is AXA insurance where I had a damage refund policy for this proposed hire. I have now applied to Mastercard for a full refund.
I have given Abbycar a 1 star review only because it is not possible to give zero stars.
I booked this hire with Argus Car Hire (they have 4 stars) but received acknowlegement from Abbycar (who have just over 1 star). I have paid in full but don't know who now has my money. I won't be messed about with "Its not me , its him" routine. I would expect the company who actually supply the vehicle to end up with the bulk of the hire charges.

We were on holiday in Crete on the end of July.
I paid 137,92 鈧?to Carjet.hu, when I finished the booking, it was contained the booking price of the car + I choose it with the insurance to be sure, and also it was written (like an extra) it is contains the additional driver too.
The AbbyCar rental company didn鈥檛 ask this voucher anyway, even I got it with myself. They excess 450鈧?from our credit card, and they also count 84鈧?for rental charges. Would you please explain, or help to understand why is that 84鈧? even we paid for the car and for the insurance as well when I booked it on the carjet's page. It seems like I paid for the car at least two times!

The other thing is about they found 2 scratches on the back left side door. It was not our mistake, we really take care of the car. Surely that was a preexisted damage and it was already on the car when we picked it up at the beginning. The funny and also disgusting thing was when they didn鈥檛 marked the small scratches or small damages on the paper (vehicle diagram), as the "cute girl" kindly said that – dont worry these small damages don鈥檛 matters. – When we take the car back I was so confused when the other guy started to mark the small scratches after that sentence.
Hardly, but fortunately I could be in contact with the Carjet, but they just send me the summary of the repairing costs that they got from ABBYCAR. Of course the total cost was punctual 450鈧? so needed the all excess what they took from my credit card….

So like now we paid for the car: 671,92 鈧?all together!!! (funny, but I could rent a fully car for that cost)
-to Carjet: 137,92鈧?(WITH INSURANCE!!)
– to ABBYCAR: 450鈧?excess (they already spent for repair) + 84鈧?for "rental charges" (AGAIN)

I would like to know what is the procedure to be protected by the Insurance I paid for. And why did they take that 鈥渞ental charges鈥?fee, even we paid for the car before. Unfortunately, I cannot reach anybody from ABBYcar (ofcourse…).
If I wont my money back I'll going to sue them, bcoz it was really uncorrect what they are doing with everybody (see the comments/reviews below). If I could I rate them rather 0.

I am not exaggerating when I say this was the worst car rental experience I had in over 10 years!! My flight to Greece was delayed by one day. I called Abbycar to update my arrival time and the lady on the phone said no problem.. she will just make a note in the system. When I arrived to pick up my car, I was first told that my reservation is not even in the system!! After arguing and complaining, my reservation appeared in the system but I was told I was supposed to arrive the previous day and now there are no cars for me!! After arguing again and showing the phone record and calling CarDelMar to complain, they offered me a 鈥渂igger鈥?car for a higher price. Arguing that it鈥檚 their mistake and I shouldn鈥檛 pay for it did not work. Since my wife and 2 kids were standing in the parking lot for an hour, I had to accept. The 鈥渂igger鈥?car turned out to be an old Ford Focus with over 85K of mileage!! I didn鈥檛 feel safe driving the car since it didn鈥檛 accelerate properly, the air conditioning was weak, and there was some wobbling when I pressed the brakes. So I called and asked if I could replace the car with whatever is safer that is available. The guy on the phone kept arguing that there are no cars and then when I insisted he asked me to call at 6 pm to talk to his colleague who could find something for me. I called between 6-7:30 pm and no one was answering the phone!! The next day I just drove the car back to the airport to change it since I was about to travel a long distance and really needed a safer car. Same arguing and denying and the manager was even trying to give me a lecture on how their business works. After telling him I don鈥檛 care and all I need is a safe car to go on my way, he said he鈥檒l bring me an automatic car instead of the manual I had. He was gone for half an hour.. then came back and just went to their booth without even talking to me!! When I went there to see what鈥檚 happening his employee asked me to go outside and offered me another car which was on old Yaris with over 75K mileage. I asked if they have any modern cars.. he said yes but they will charge more and they will even charge for the previous days as well!!!! That鈥檚 when I completely lost hope in receiving any decent customer service from these people. I told them in front of all the other customers in line they are the worst car rental I have ever dealt with and just took the old car and left. 10 min after leaving, they called me and said the automatic car has arrived and I can do the switch. I went back to find a small Corsa which didn鈥檛 seem to fit my family and our luggage. I took it anyway because I lost hope arguing with those people and because at least the Corsa was only 20K in mileage and seemed more modern and safer than the other 2 cars.

Long story short: totally unprofessional.. no sense of customer service.. and no responsibility for what they say and offer!!! I wish there was something lower than 1 star to rate them. If you鈥檙e reading this review, save your money and find another company!

They are scammers. First they try to took over 1200 euros payment on my credit card but when my credit card conpany denied it they sell me 20鈧?day insurance by tricking me that I don't get my deposit money back.

The car cost 3x more than I was told! And it was 6 years old car…

Was wary about ABBYCAR due to so many negative comments. However, I chose to hire a car from them at Chania Airport in Crete and they proved to be very courteous, proffessional, efficient and I had no problems with them. The only improvement I would like to see is their practice regarding the damage report when I picked the car up. They gave me the normal sheet showing existing damage around the car and as always I went round the car and found more damage than was shown. The manager explained to me that all I had to do was photograph the additional damege with my phone and that would be enough because the time and date would be shown on the photos as documentation. I protested that I wanted the paper sheet to be updated but he insisted that "this is the way we do it here". After a small discussion he agreed to make a new sheet and the problem was solved. In practice I had nothing to worry about as they did not go over the car with a fine tooth comb on my return. A good reliable company in my experience and I would recommend them.

Terrible costumer service, rude woman on the front desk. I temted a Toyota corollavia carjet.com cause i wanted a good safe car for ne and my family. I got a VAUXHAUL 2004!!! Old and very batttered car. Simoly unsafe, with old suspension broken seatbelt… when i asked about the toyota corolla i remted, she replied. You rented the category. We dont have a corolla… i was so upset already, that i just jumped in the car. I regret my decision. The car was a piece of s***t. If you come out with this car rental, cancel it! Its just not worth your time and patience. And your money

Nice kind people fronting an unethical business. We got charged 拢32 for out of hours arrival (even though we had arranged this online time for pick up at 11pm) and we only got 拢87 back from our 拢100 deposit – this is after we had paid through the nose for the fully comp insurance for peace of mind (which we were happy to do but come on … reducing the deposit). The pick up is 4 miles away from the airport – so be prepared for a drive from the airport – and note that when we arrived they could only take two of us from our party of four to pick up the car. We had to then drive back and pick up the rest of our group.
