I wrote a review about how Accor treated me when cancelling my booking due to Covid-19. I wrote to the CEO (thomas.dubaere – at sign- accor.com) and somehow they decided that they would refund my money. Try it! I made it clear that if they did not refund the money I would take them to the Small Claims Court – and I would have. Taking a company to the Small Claims Court is pretty straightforward – I have done it. So go for it. Let me add that I am quite happy to co-operate with companies in this crisis. But not when they treat you as Accor did. Only a refund is acceptable when they try to bully you.

As a long standing Accor member I am disappointed to be withdrawing my membership. Their phone customer service department does nothing to assist with cancellations due to Coronavirus and merely directs you to contact the hotel directly. Difficult for our booking at Pullman Charles de Gaulle. No understanding of the impact of the current global situation.

Beware of the sales team from Wollongong
They call constantly with new offers then agree on a rate but when you are billed the rate is higher
With only your word against the caller it鈥檚 difficult to prove
So many hotels in the chain do not allow use of your free night even though staff confirm these hotels do just to get you to join
Dining benefits are good but again not available at all hotels
Overall unless you travel a lot it鈥檚 not good value

Stayed at Marriott Hobart, a supposed 4 star. Absolutely filthy. Curtains soiled/stained in a number of places, bathroom moldy. Appalling for an Accir Plus membership. No on site parking. Stayed 1 night due to exhaustion. Cancelled rest of booking to transfer to a non- Accir hotel. Paid top dollar for substandard.

The biggest waste of money. I honestly can鈥檛 believe how bad the service is with this program!! I wouldn鈥檛 even recommend this program if it was free that鈥檚 how bad it is…. I鈥檝e raised several complaints only to get a response 鈥榯hanks for reaching out鈥?and that鈥檚 it.

If you are smart, you will stay away from this program at all costs. ABSOLUTE WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY!!

I jumped on here to check out the reviews left by members and I was worried about purchasing the membership. I thought to myself just do and i鈥檓 so glad I did! I have stayed at nearly 12 different Accor hotels. Its always the cheapest rate (as I tend to check other sites) plus the 50% off food has been wonderful for me and my partner. I鈥檓 dinning at top restaurants for half the price! (would definitely recommend Sofitel in Melbourne and Sofitel Nusa Dua)
If you like saving money then give it go, would highly recommend ??

Horrible customer service took me 6 weeks of calling to get a refund , they still haven鈥檛 refunded me , after they scammed me telling me I could use the free night on any hotel any weekend rather then waiting one year to use it.

We were advised to join Accor by a hotel we stayed at so we went through the paper work and the discounts offered etc. As we travel a lot we thought it was gong to be well worth it. After paying $399 for a higher membership that's when the service completely stopped.
We tried to book hotels and the hotels kept saying that our status is locked and to ring Accor customer service.
YOU CANNOT GET ONTO THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE TEAM AS YOU ARE ON HOLD FOR OVER 40 MINUTES AND THEN IT CUTS OFF.
We still have not received our Silver Membership Card which means we cant use it for the discounts. Office of Fair Trading need to know about this scam as it is just a sales pitch with no customer service after paying your money. DO NOT BOTHER. SAVE YOURSELF THE MONEY.

Terrible. Used to be great but past 2 years has taken a giant leap backwards. Will cancel when renewal time comes around. Everything we want to do including making contact or booking a promised free night is now bl..dy hopeless. It is like they have over promised on free nights and now want to reneg on the offer. At least that is our experience. Some dumb stuff too like NZ phone numbers on website which when you call there is no such number

I would review it at 0 stars if I could. Biggest scam. Try and book your free night at a hotel that鈥檚 worth going to. There are so many hidden conditions and exclusions. The discounted rates you get as a member are no better then rates you can find online.

Accor Plus membership is a total waste of time. They entice you with the offer of a free night, but when you come to use it hotels are not available to book using your bonus!
Extremely frustrating, with call centre staff that are impossible to understand and just keep regurgitating company policy that is totally useless.
Save your money and choose an alternate loyalty scheme!

Customer service for Accor is non-existent. They simply do not respond and there appears to be absolutely no accountability at all.
They will claim you have a dedicated person to look after you but this is nothing short of a lie.
The rewards are incredibly convoluted and vary with each of their hotel chains.
The points do not accrue when you dine in their restaurants and therefore the rewards program does not exist.
It is such a shame, they could do some incredible things with their brands and create a truly unique rewards program but ultimately all they have created is a systemic smoke and mirrors system with an absolute disdain for anyone who tries to contact them for actual customer service.
Save your money until they decide that the customer actually matters, until such time, I assure you… to them currently, you do not.

O er 3000 Aud cash stolen from room
Do not go with Accor

Don鈥檛 bother wasting your effort. I joined and travel for business and pleasure. You can get better pricing online with travel zoo or booking.com than there so called discounts. It is a con and should be reported to the ACCC for false advertising.
I have contacted the hotels directly and explained that I am a Accor member and they will not
Even match pricing if you go directly than pricing on other sites. Seriously do they want customers that are loyal ???

Signed up for 1 year to find in that whole year I didn't even go to any Accor accommodation because none were ever available when I needed to go plus they were over priced. The whole year I ended up using every other hotel and the only reason they got in touch with me is because I stayed at the Sofitel once and it was lovely I enjoyed myself but wishing I didn't because I could've saved myself 380 bucks to not throw it away. A year later my sister in Law contacted me about a strange phone call from them asking if they have my contact number so I can claim a free hotel stay worth $500. First of all, how on Earth did they get her contact details? Secondly, they already have my contact details?

Save your money and don't bother signing up. Do not fall for the Pitch. The Irish lady was very convincing.

I have tried to book the free night four times this year…the free rooms are booked. This time I already had a 5 day booking, I asked for one of those nights to be free. No…i didnt have a 鈥渇ree room鈥? I sugggested they upgrade (as my card is supposed to offer) my current room to a non-free room so I can finally get my free room. Nope.
Its more trouble than isworth.Too much frustration associated with this There are much better deals that dont mess us around and waste our time

One listed benefit of membership is that members get early access to sales. I checked the price of the Sofitel Melbourne, while I was still an Accor Plus member at the end of September, when the latest Accor sale became available exclusively for Accor Plus members. I was not going to renew my membership for another year however, so I would not be eligible for this offer. I checked the price again (same room type, same date) when it went live for Le Club Accor members on the 1st of October and found it was $12 cheaper! I don't know about you but this seems a bit dodgy to me!

Worst Company – only designed as a sales pitch with no real value
They do not look after their members and will screw you over at the first chance. They DO NOT price match unless it meets strick criteria.
We will never use them again (all 9 of us).
Absolutely the worst customer service ive come across.

We have platinum card,use it constantly! Get upgrades,free night never been problem,50%off restaurant bills,and the odd gift to thank us. If we have probs,and it happens, you need to contact the right person! Google to find,in customer service! We know a few pple in Accor,many GMs in Accor hotels,as we use on reg.basis,staff know us,we are very well looked after! Where we stay!

Horrible horrible customer service
They just hang up on you. Abousley NO guarantee and always 100s more than other sites.
I booked and the cost was $495 Australian more than the hotel and other websites.
You are horrific accor. Will never ever use you again.

I had 2 free nights in my Membership Tried to make a booking to use my 1 free night through the Accor Hotels App but of no use as my 2 free nights r not displayed in my account tried to call the customer care but no response after a very long hold.
It is truly ridiculus as how do i get my booking done.
Truly A Very Poor Service on Accor part

I with Accor for 2 years and I have limitations in using the vouchers which we not were told some of hotels will under renovation when we sign up and it makes me feel frustrating. I will not support Accor plus in future.
