My experience with accord was brilliant. I took the mortgage 2006 till 2017 when my ex decided to take over and I had no issues with them at all. Different people has different experiences due to their circumstances but I was happy with them.

I am back with an update to my previous review . As mentioned we put the application up on 04th of December and the offer was received on 18th of January. Was a long journey but considering the current climate , Christmas break and the fact that our case was randomly selected for audit is understandable . Accord been excellent in our case and I couldn鈥檛 wish for more.

Buy to let purchase which was obtained via a broker. But once the mortgage commenced I went to log in online and the system said I didn鈥檛 have an account. Phoned them up and he said the website was down. I said when was it last working to which he replied NINE months ago. I鈥檓 utterly baffled that their website doesn鈥檛 work!

Recent first time buyer and went with Accord due to cashback incentive. When I finally received the paperwork it was confusing and I received no breakdown of fees. Ended up not getting my cashback due to figures being so unclear. Complained – was told it happened regularly but they wouldn't do anything about it as their paperwork meets EU regulations. Both my mortgage broker and solicitor couldn't understand the figures either so the average buyer has no chance. Seems to me the idea of cashback is a scam covered with hidden fees. Will never use them again.

After a 4hr telephone appointment on a Friday NatWest were unhappy with something on our credit report and refused to allow us to port our mortgage. We used a mortgage broker (MoneysenseMatters) on the Monday and they had the mortgage offer emailed to us by the Friday. The service from Accord was excellent.

Outstanding for Ltd company contractors!! myself and my wife our moving house and after approaching our existing mortgage provider Halifax we were rejected after having a mortgage with them for 5 years!! and never missed a single payment and have never since we our first mortgage over 10 years prior to that!! We then approached two further high street lenders and had the same problem. The issue is that the high street lenders pigeon hole me as self employed and take my net post tax pay to calculate what can be borrowed – effectively double taxing!! As a last ditch effort we engaged a mortgage broker (best thing we did) who recommend Accord as they use my gross day rate to calculate affordability – during the AIP we went through an admittedly VERY lengthy and data driven form detailing ALL income and ALL outgoings and debts etc. I can only think that the negative reviews are from those who did not complete these forms accurately – get it right first time!!! After only a few days they were out to value our new property and after two weeks we only had a couple of straight forward questions which were more than fair from the underwriters…….just one week after that we had the offer confirmed!! more than reasonable in the current climate. Accord made the process a pleasure start to finish and i would highly recommend them to any Ltd company director or contractor, just ensure your chosen broker deals with them, if i could give them 6 stars i would.

They have allowed us to purchase our family home for life and we could not be happier

Many thanks Accord!!

Took over 15 weeks to approve an application. They kept creating stalling tactics saying we hadn鈥檛 sent documents when we could see the documents on the broker鈥檚 screen.

The delay ultimately led to the collapse of the house purchase. We now have to have another credit search on our record to apply with another company.

Accord may seem to have a great deal but it is not worth losing a house that you love over a relatively small amount of money.

I am first time buyer during pandemic. I seemed supberb on start! I got 10% application accepted ect. I went though Brooker. Accord asks minimum 10 times same question and after I response to them right away I need to wait at least a week before someone different gracefully sits to my application and asks me exactly the same question again. It is really annoying and extremely stressful becouse the offer was not given last 3 months. Since 3 weeks the application is being on final checks but I'm still getting same questions as before and I just keep answering them. Feeling like pain in the bottom to my Brooker when I'm trying to chase my application and they just ask me to be patient because of pandemic. I think it's horrible to wait such long time especially that information on they website is updated regularly and it says that since application to offer it shouldn't take longer than 12-19 days.

I went through a broker as a first time buyer with accord mortgages and they couldn鈥檛 of been a more straight forward company to get the mortgage approved. It was quick and fast.

First time buyers with a great experience with accord. Excellent credit scores, 19% deposit and both full time employed. My industry is considered "high risk" with unusual circumstances compared to your typical full time employee (the way my pay is displayed on my payslips). We were borrowing 拢40,000 less than our "maximum" amount suggested on the affordability calculator on their website. During the current climate we received our offer within 15 working days which is fantastic. There were several queries and questions put towards us but that is to be expected. If you are prompt with answering and providing evidence/support you will have no issues. If you have a decent broker that will work hard and be sure you have a good application, you should have no worries. I am finding it difficult to understand the negative reviews written here. But like most things, people are more likely to leave a review if they are disgruntled rather than people like me who go through this process fairly seamlessly.

Got the initial mortgage 2 years ago so that's fine.

But the application process for remortgaging is rubbish. All via paper and takes weeks and weeks to process and you can't apply until your initial term ends so you end up paying lots on the variable rate as it takes so long to process.

Recently remortgaged with another provider as it was taking too long and I am waiting for final payment refund which I thought would be instant, as, as far as I'm aware I didn't think the bank could keep hold of my money?

Also customer service is a bit of a shambles. Waiting on the phone for an hour and told I came through to the wrong number, even though it was the number provided. They put me through to the 'correct department' only to be told I came through to the wrong department. Now sat on hold for another half hour and still waiting for my queries to be answered and my refund.

Accord have been so helpful and supportive over the last 7 months. As a small business owner in the leisure industry covid hit me hard. Accord made it so easy to apply for and get a mortgage holiday. They've called me to discuss my circumstances and give me reassurance on two occasions. This included a call as the mortgage holiday came to an end to tell me how they could support me in the future if I was still struggling to make payments. Highly recommended.

The worst mortgage company I have ever come across. They should be ashamed to call themselves a mortgage company. I applied 12 weeks ago via a broker; took 2 1/2 weeks to get documents over to them and since then they have been reviewing my application. Every two weeks they come with a new question. Twice they have said they are satisfied with all the documents I provided and no longer require anything else and have sent the file over to their Chief Underwriter to sign off only to be told two weeks later that they have further questions. The last straw just happened today. A week and a half ago they asked for proof of deposit after saying they needed no further documentation and my file was with their Senior underwriter for sign off. We provided that proof within 15 mins and it was sent to them within 10 mins. Almost two weeks later, I'm being asked to show proof of a build up of the deposit which is my money that has been lying in my Euro account for about 3 years! They should be ashamed of themselves! The worst mortgage company out there. Very unacceptable behaviour from these people. These are things they should have requested in the beginning and not at week 9 of still going back and forth!!!!!!!!!! Meanwhile I'm in the process of losing the house I made an offer on because of their incompetence. Please DO NOT use this company. DO NOT!!!!!! Save yourself the agro and go somewhere else. Better you pay a little bit more but for a more professional company. I am disgusted with them.

I鈥檝e been stuck with this company for 13yrs. We are so grateful to get away from them.
We were unable to move anywhere else, as we didn鈥檛 have enough LTV in the property, so we we鈥檙e stuck with there extra-high interest rates.
I called today, was on the phone for 30 before they answer and the never apologise for the delay and always give and send out wrong information.
If I had my chance again, I would never ever of gone to them.
Thank goodness we have finally parted ways!!

Been a customer for 2 years, went through a broker and had no problems. Trying to get a valuation on our property ahead of changing products with them and having no luck getting through to customer services. On hold for ages, line disconnected for no reason. When you so manage to get though they put you through to other areas, again line disconnected for no reason. Awful customer service at the moment.

Applied via our broker and all seemed to be going well until the underwriters asked for proof that my partners role was not at risk of redundancy. This was an impossible request given the current climate we are in it鈥檚 an extremely big ask with so much uncertainty in the world.
So after wasting 4 weeks we switched to another lender and was approved, the stress has been unbelievable as we could have lost our new home.

Do not approach, such a waste of time , money n energy. They made us pay for the valuation , initially agreed for the eligibility criteria after all the paperwork asking same questions again and again for nearly three weeks came back with the lame excuse of rejecting the offer. Please be aware , it should be a pleasure to anyone to buy their dream property instead ending in nightmare, stressful three weeks………
They have given us really hard time馃槨

the most pathetic lender ever to come across.
asked me so many questions and at the end declined my mortgage because they believed the case file has some doubts, which were only doubts. My income 100% proven from my employers who are well known in UK, then they thought I had 2 kids but I only have one and just because some weirdo under writer couldnt under the maternity leave pay on my wives payslips they put that in doubt.
Some under writers sit in there office and destroy people dreams, they should get out of the office more and meet people and discuss everything face to face rather than please email us!

I have been an Accord customer for over 15 years. I review my mortgage each time my existing offer expires and I stay with Accord and a new offer. I have no trouble contacting them or having any queries resolved. I would have no hesitation in recommending them.

Accord mortgages were the only lender that would take us on. We didn鈥檛 have a 3-year UK Andrews history as we had only moved here in 2019. My partner was also placed on furlough so we were denied by the vast majority of lenders.

Process with accord was seamless, which I commend them for during these times.

Full application went in through Habito (huge shout out to them as well!) on July 24th. Valuation was done on August 3rd. Offer came through on August 15th.

We are a self-employed couple so we had some difficulties to get a mortgage offer from high-street lenders. Accord trusted us and they also respected the offer sent before the coronavirus quarantine started.

Because we both have our own businesses we were lucky to survive the crisis, so I am sure that Accord will do good as they trust the self-employed and I really want to thank you for helping us purchase our first home, we will remember this forever.
