Please ask yourself why a bunch of recent four star reviews just happened to show up on the site all at the same time. This appears to be the result of a coordinated effort to manipulate what is being seen on the site and to push back bad reviews from those that had horrendous experiences with ACIS. Please don't be fooled.

ACIS is an outstanding travel company. They truly have customer satisfaction at the forefront of their programs. They are especially responsive to the needs of the group. I have traveled with other companies in the past but have strictly only used ACIS for my last 8 trips with students and parents. ACIS is the best!

Run, don't walk away from this company. They do not honor their contracts. Buyer beware!!!!!!!

(RESPONSE) The basic refund policy states that if you cancel your trip 130+ days before your "departure date" you are refunded your money less $350. Our departure date was moved to March 2021. We canceled 130+ days prior to our departure date and you withheld $1,000. There is no ambiguity in the contract. You claim the refunds apply to the "original departure date" but that wording is not in your contract. You still owe us $1,300 (two travelers).

My son had a trip to France in June. The trip was canceled 130 days prior to departure date. ACIS honored the agreement and a full refund(minus the insurance and 50$ deductible) was issued. Thank you!

I have triplets that are seniors from Bethpage that we鈥檙e suppose to go to Australia in July . The trip was canceled but the company and our group leader keeps saying postponed-to the summer of 2021! However it is not postponed but changed completely from Australia to Japan , my children have no interest in Japan and to be quite frank what college student knows what his or her summer will be like in 2021? I reached out to ACIS and Jon told me I should be happy I鈥檓 only loosing 380$ per child ! I did not cancel the trip, I understand if I did it would be my problem but to take the insurance money and the 50$ seems a bit much especially since it鈥檚 times 3 for me . I understand our leader has been using ACIS for 10 years maybe it鈥檚 time for a change to a more understanding company

I was a member of Modern European Cultures that took off March 11, 2020.
Unfortunately, this company has provided me with the worst customer service experience and endangered my group members' health by not cancelling our trip after I literally begged them to.
ACIS, disregarding a worldwide pandemic, flew my group, the last group from United States out to Europe and has put us through great struggles in four days.
The tour was supposed to take us to London, Paris and Barcelona and the duration of the tour was supposed to be from March 11- March 19.
On March 10th, with most of the governments worldwide making major changes about traveling and the rapid increase of the COVID 19 cases, I contacted ACIS customer service to inform my concerns about this tour and in some sort of compensation, I asked for the cancellation of this trip.
However, my concerns were completely ignored and I was told that there will be no refund. Having to go through incredible hard time paying off this trip, I did not want to throw my money out so I had to go to the trip.
ACIS, not only cancelled two destinations on this trip, they have also shortened it to four days which included the traveling as well.
However, most importantly, ACIS, RISKING my health, ignoring the WORLDWIDE PANDEMIC, has put me through incredibly challenging, psychologically damaging, and very stressful four days.
I now am seeking psychological assistance after this trip and still have incredible concerns and stress.
ACIS is responsible for a huge damage both financially, physically and psychologically in my life.
After putting our group through hell, they gave us $450 back from a $4000 trip.
This company is not trustworthy, not caring and most importantly not honest, they valued the financial factors over health and they gave us the most troubled experience of our lives.
I will never travel with this agency nor do I recommend it to anyone.

I'm in the same situation, a cancelled trip to Germany, $9518 paid and told I will only get back $8222. High School senior (w/parent) who doesn't want to go next year and I have no use for vouchers. They talk like they are doing us some favor by giving partial refunds. Their contracts says if they cancel a full refund will be made within 45 days. They can whin about their costs. I doubt they have to prepay trip expenses and if they aren't getting airlines refunds then that is poor negotiating on their part. I doubt seriously they paid the entrance fees for attractions or for food in advance,and I know they haven't registered us with or paid CISI for the insurance which was $270 per person.

The Today show this morning had its Money segment on Convit-19 scams. The most complaints received by the FTC are on spring break/vacation tours. They said they want to hear from us.

ACIS- you cannot make up another refund policy that suits you now. You need to abide by the terms of your existing policy and give everybody a full refund. You are not conducting your business in the spirit of this country as it copes with this virus situation. Your expenses are your cost of doing business. American companies and people are showing their true colors. Some insurance companies are refunding premiums, medical and essential employees are risking their lives going to work everyday. You are not conducting your business in the spirit of this country if you are profiting off of students and their families by pocketing their money.

ACIS has the Ultimate Refund policy that we purchased and it has been over a month and I have received no refund from them, nor any further communications. They speak about not getting refunds from airlines and hotels as an excuse for there problems. Well thats not our problem its yours. ACIS has a legal obligation to refund all contracted moneys. Has anyone received cash or a voucher from them? Seems like Bankruptcy is in the process.

Beyond frustrated with this company. When my daughter's trip to Spain was postponed due to Covid19, ACIS blocked us out her account saying her trip was cancelled. However since ACIS has to pay full refunds on trips THEY cancel, her account was miraculously reopened but now said it was "de-activated". Her trip was moved to November 2020. My daughter will be in college therefore will not be able to make that work. Their cancellation policy originally read, "# of days prior to departure" in regard to how much refund one would receive. That is great because November is over 200 days away, so we would receive all but $350 if we cancel. Well again, ACIS has switched the wording to benefit their agenda. Now it reads, "Original Departure Date."
I don't want a patronizing response from ACIS saying how sorry they are for my frustration. I want ACIS to be an ETHICAL company and provide the refund according to the Refund Policy that I agreed to when my daughter signed up for this trip.

I took a group to France in April of 2019 and couldn't be happier. The company is a joy to work with. I have never experienced such personalized service from start to finish! Will travel with them again.

There are few companies that truly live up to their motto, but ACIS knocks it out of the park. "Travel changes lives." Travel does change lives and this company makes it happen. ACIS is superior in all aspects of travel from pre-trip planning to follow through on every detail. I state with complete confidence that my children's experience with ACIS has positively impacted their college and career decisions. What else could a parent ask for? When considering other companies you get what you pay for, don't miss an ACIS opportunity!

Our trip to England and France was absolutely incredible. We took 28 high school girls on the trip – and they loved it! ACIS is the best educational travel company – from the itinerary that they set forth to the highly knowledgeable tour managers that stay with us the entire length of the trip to the hotel accommodations – everything is always perfect. This was our 2nd trip in as many years – and I can't wait to take another group next year!

Our school has been using ACIS for several years and has been happily satisfied every step of the way. We are already planning for 2020!
This is my 4th trip abroad with them and I have had the most pleasant communications with every representative from start to finish. This year we went to Italy, and had a relatively glitch free experience. Our Tour Manager, Cheira, was incredibly well prepared with art reproductions, handouts and other items of interest that pertained to each site we visited. We had a very ambitious list of sites to see and she managed to get us to all of them on time. She was kind and patient with the students and her talks were interesting and informative. The only problem we experienced were the enormous crowds – everywhere, but particularly in Rome due to the Easter, Passover and Liberation Day holidays. Parts of the coliseum were closed off, St. Peter's Basilica was swamped and despite having tickets, we couldn't get through the security in time for the Papal General Audience.
As always, our flights and hotel accommodations were excellent – good breakfasts and central locations to many sights and terrific local guides; most of the dinners were pretty good, although we did have a couple of casualties in that regard.
All in all, a great experience combining learning objectives with plenty of free time for the teens to explore at their own pace and enjoy the gelato!

I have been on 2 European trips with ACiS, so far, and have already planned my next 2. I have been very impressed with the quality of service provided by every single member of the ACIS family. From the customer service reps to the tour guides, you won't find a more professional and dedicated group of people. If ACIS starts expanding to more places in the United States, we'll definitely be booking more and more trips!

I have traveled with ACIS for several years now and have no intention of ever switching to another company! I plan my own itinerary and ACIS makes every attempt to give me exactly what I ask for. Our tour managers have been top notch. Teachers are treated like royalty. My students and I have so much fun. I hope to be traveling with them for many years to come!

The customer service is tops!Everyone in the company I have dealt with has been pleasant, receptive and helpful. As with any big trip, there will be bumps in the road. ACIS is very quick to make it right , even if it was beyond their control (such as weather issues) Our tour was a great mix of activity and down time. Our hotels were very nice and located in walking distance of the city centers. I Highly recommend ACIS.

I have been traveling with ACIS since the early 80's and won't travel with anyone else. Their trips are by far superior to all others on the market. From the quality of the hotels and restaurants, to the expertise of the tour manager to the working out of the fine details behind the scenes, ACIS is the stars above the rest!

19 participants and I toured Germany, Italy, and France with ACIS last summer. It was a fast paced tour filled with interesting sights and activities. We biked through the English Gardens in Munich, took a gondola ride in Venice, tasted gelatto in every town we visited, shopped for leather in Florence, and climbed the Eiffel Tower in Paris at sunset. The whole tour was fantastic, made even more so by our talented and knowledgeable ACIS guide, Epsin, who serenaded us on the bus and in the hotel. What a fantastic trip we had!

ACIS was, is, and always will be the gold standard in travel. Many competitors have upped their game because of the standard that ACIS has set they still can鈥檛 beat the overall product of ACIS. I鈥檝e been traveling with ACIS since 2002 and they have never once waivered from their high standards. In Addition, the global conferences has allowed me to explore and and experience my own educational experience in places like Croatia, Iceland, & Italy. Thank you ACIS!

My trip was incredibly well managed. My students and I had an extraordinary experience with every detail having been arranged in advance. The daily excursions were eye opening, enjoyable and we discovered so much. Our tour guide kept us motivated and engaged and was very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend ACIS for academic travels.
