I wanted the aerial securing fittings tightened,phoned for an appointment and was told it would be the following day and the fitter would have the required clamp should this be a problem.
I waited in all day and was phoned at 4pm to say it would be the next day.
Again after contacting them in the morning and told I would get an hours notification ,I received another phone call to say it would be tomorrow at four pm .
After speaking at length with them it seems they only tell the fitter of his next job when he completes his last one so have no real idea when your appointment will be
Today I received an hours notice and the fitter turned up this afternoon,looked at the job having explained what I wanted doing and phoned in to the office
I then received a call telling me there were three options each involving a new aerial system .no listening to what I wanted
This firm is only interested in selling aerial packages
They have wasted three of my days with no intention of undertaking the work I had initially asked the to do
Avoid this company like the plague

My elderly mother in Ipswich was conned out of 拢570, to fit a free view box in 3 bedrooms. The TV service now doesnt work in 2 rooms, and they've offered to 'fix it' for another 拢100. When she mentioned she had a 2 year warranty in paper, they hung up on her. SCAM ARTISTS + ABSOLUTE WASTES OF SKIN. My mother barely gets by on pension credit and they pressure selled to her to get the money out. The real cost would've been 拢80-100 FOR ALL OF IT. Trading standards will be notified. Due to them attempting to void the warranty by changing the company name. DODGY COMPANY PLEASE DO NOT USE.

I have wasted two days waiting for action aerials, lancaster branch, only to have appointment cancelled again. Advertised in yellow pages " We fix fast, same day service". Obviously not. Do not use.

Avoid this company. I got conned out of 拢381 just for a loft arial and booster. I never got told the cost and assumed it was going to be about 拢200, then when he鈥檇 fitted it he told me the price and of course I just had to pay. He also took three chunks out of my expensive marks and Spencer鈥檚 oak chest of draws and didn鈥檛 admit to it. Ordinary I鈥檇 complain but can only see it being a waste of time with these cowboys.

Had a new sky dish and LNB installed back in June 2017 by Action Aerials – last weekend got error message no satellite signal. Called them on Monday to arrange an engineer to look at the problem under the 12 month parts/labour guarantee, was told that an engineer would come Thursday. On the day I waited in all day only to get a call about 15:00 that an engineer wasn鈥檛 going to turn up, told them that wasn鈥檛 acceptable. I was then told I would get a call about 17:00 to let me know what was going to happen. Instead I recieved a text telling me that an engineer would visit tomorrow am -guess what no engineer turned up next day either and no further communication. Do not use this service – they do not live up to their no BS motto.

I've just had a second successive appointment cancelled by Action Aerials in the last 24hrs. Absolute jokers. Do not use them. That's two days off work that I will never get back and they didn't have the courtesy to call until the 11th hour to try rescheduling.

i have waited in all day after cancelling appointments. I was called to arrange an appointment for the engineer at approximately 16:20 on 04/12/17 the service rang me to do this.I was also told that I would receive a phone call one hour before the engineer arrived. The time given was between 08:00- 10:00 5/12/17 I waited in all day. NO CALL IN FACT NO CONTACT AT ALL . There is no way I will use this service again and I shall tell my social group about this experience. I am not an unreasonable person a telephone call from the service would have been appropriate polite, respectful.

I've spent the best part of two days waiting in for the engineer to arrive from Action Aerials and be offered excuse after excuse (to my landlord) for not showing and on the final call from them I told them what a waste of time they were.

Didn't really get a response even when I said they should change their name to Non-Action Aerials!

Spend your money elsewhere rather than on this bunch of half-wits

I arranged an appointment. On the day of the appointment I received a call from someone who didn't introduce himself, but I presumed from the conversation that he was the repair man. He told me he wouldn't be able to make it, and offered no explanation as to why, or an apology. He suggested rescheduling, so I went to get my diary, and when I came back to the 'phone, he had hung up! I rang the number on the website to complain, but all the operative was interested in doing was rescheduling the appointment. It was only when I pointed out that I'd unneccesarily taken time off work that I got a begrudging apology. Needless to say, I didn't re-book an appointment with them. Very poor attitude from both representatives of the company.

I called garage doors fixed and the service was excellent from start to finish. Arrived on time as promised and told me outright the springs on garage doors needed adjustment and said it would be the call out charge plus VAT. Kevin was very polite and knowledgeable and even sprayed WD40 on the key lock and told me honestly that the key mechanism would need replacement in few years but not worth changing now. So honest! Lovely job done within 20 minutes and no nonsense. Will definitely use this company again. If all engineers were like Kevin then we would not be tricked and pay twice over the odds for the same jobs.BIG THANKS.

Absolutely awful. 拢160 to resite a dish, but after two engineer visits – not to mention two missed visits – we now have channels cutting in and out when they didn't before. Have asked for refund and will get my bank to issue a chargeback if necessary. Going to get sky out to do it properly.

Update. Called them today (Saturday) to get this sorted. Really rude operator called Tom, who joked that he loved it when people called up to complain. Asked to speak to a manager – told none available. Asked for a supervisor – told he was 'on a break' (really? Within an hour of starting work?) Makes me angry that companies like this stay in business.

unbelievable don't wast your money they have ripped me off 4 times and problems still not sorted don't waste your money I have had aerial put on roof with a rusty bolt tooled under roof tile been told the television is broken I know it's not as I tried it in mothers house and it works fine also when you ring up a pompous man answers the phone with I couldn't care less we have had your money now my kid have not had a television to watch for 2 weeks

Turned up on time and gave me 2 options. Repair, the pole had snapped for 拢60, or a full new installation for 拢160.
I went for the new option. Delighted with what Duncan, the engineer did. Iv waited around 3 weeks before reviewing and I have had a great picture since

Very quick service (same day) however when phoned later (next day) to report not working they couldn't get anyone out for three days!!!!!
Manager!!! told me "hard luck I don't care, we can't get anyone back for three days" !!!!
This is the level of customer care to expect from this company.
Incidentally, like others, they ripped me off for 拢180 for a 拢20 amplifier!
AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!

My mother-in-law was charged well over 拢250 to allegedly replace her old Freeview aerial and amp with a 'value' aerial. I say allegedly as I could not inspect the replacement units, it does not look like the 'value' aerial in their photos, and there has been no difference made to her reception, which degraded a few months ago following some bad weather. Their 'value' aerial is listed at 拢167 including fitting (ridiculous price), making the amp nearly 拢100 parts and labour (also ridiculous). I've priced aerials and they range on average from around 拢15 to 拢50. As previous reviewers have stated, amplifiers cost around 拢20. Had I been present at my mother-in-law's when they were attempting this rip-off, I would have kindly shown them the door. Disgusting. Would NOT recommend.

We called Action Aerials when our signal all but died on most channels. Their 'engineer' turned up (late) and couldn't find the cause of the fault. Well, not until he realised that he was looking for a signal from the wrong TV broadcasting mast. Half an hour wasted. Time to start again.
Eventually, he diagnosed that the signal booster we need had given up the ghost. Sadly, this was exactly what I had already said I thought might be the problem when he arrived.
We were given two choices.
1. Replace the masthead signal booster in the roof and amplifier. Cost 拢170-拢190.
2. Have a FreeSat dish fitted and bypass our aerial completely. Cost 拢150 which he said he'd do for 拢130.
Both options seemed a very expensive way to correct a problem with one little signal booster. While we were in the roof, the engineer had tried to say that these units can cost hundreds but he could get them at trade for about 拢100. This just didn't sound true and after already spending so long looking for a signal from the wrong mast, I didn't trust him to either do a good job or not rip me off. So, I made up an excuse and told him I'd have to make sure my wife was happy before I went ahead with the Satellite option.
Before he'd even got his car off the drive (I could still see him through the window!!!) I had a phone call from his local office offering an extra 拢10 off if I got the job done now. 'While he is in the area.' In the area?! He's closer than that. He's still parked on my drive. How much more 'in the area' can you get? Alarm bells were ringing even louder now. They were really trying to get me to agree before I'd had time to think about anything. So, I looked up the price of a masthead signal box and amplifier on Amazon. 拢21.95 with next day delivery and a full set of new connector plugs. Less than 10 minutes swapping cables from the old units to the new ones and we're back to normal TV. It wasn't rocket science.
If he'd said, I'll put a new booster and box in place for 拢40-50 I'd have been fine with that. He needs paying for his time. But he'd tried to charge 拢170-190 for a job I ended up doing for myself for 拢21.95.

A big shout to actionaerials.co.uk [no bs home services] I have used this company several times and they never dissapoint. Martin and Jay are first class engineers polite methodical professional and knowledgable.
I recently called upon their services to resolve a loss of freesat service in 3 bedrooms. Fours hours of hard work later a new dish and added aerial am now up and running again! Living in a 3 storey edwardian house was not an easy feat for him but Jay got the job done!
If many other companies treated their customers the way this one doeas much more satisfaction would be endured.
Thank you actionaerials! now known as no bs home services.
