I have been applying for loans online to help out a little bit with bills and groceries for 3 weeks now. On Friday I get a call from a man named Logan who claims he is the senior loan officer of a loan place called advanced America and said that I qualify for a $5,000 personal loan. Now mind you I have never applied for loan before in my life but times are really tough right now. Well being my first time applying for a loan I believed everything he said and asked me was legitimate and real. He said that they first had to put $1,000 in my bank account and I needed to download the cash app to send it back to them. I gave him my bank information because I thought you were supposed to do that in order for the loan to be deposited into my account. So he put the $1,000 in my account and I did what he asked and downloaded the cash app and sent the $1,000 back to him expecting to have my money in my within the as the website said. Well then he says no he has to put another 950 in my account for credit check and I needed to go get ebay cards google play and put the money on the cards and then send him a picture and the card numbers to verify that I am real and not a thief or liar so once again I did that believing he was telling me the truth and this was how loans work. Well he did this a few more times for a total of over $4,000 according to my bank. I have every single card and receipt that I purchased as well as every single message that was carried on between us because my phone is messed up so he texted me. Now the only reason I found out that he was a fraud was because my bank called me this afternoon saying they had locked my account because all the checks he deposited and had me send back came back counterfeit checks and I had no idea! I was so upset and I contacted the headquarters of the company which is an actual company and explained what happened and was told that it was definitely a scam I was a victim of internet fraud! That there is no such person of Logan and that they are not even located nor do they even do business in the state I live in! She explained to me about loans and how they are really done and processed and it was nothing how this Logan guy explained it to me. She apologized and told me to contact my bank and explain to them what happened so I did that and they explained in more detail about loans and I got my whole account changed new card pin account num everything so that is all taken care of but they said they are really sorry this happened to me but unfortunately I have to repay back the $4,000 and something that he stole out of pocket! I just burst into tears because I can't believe this happened to me and I do not have $4,000 all the money he sent me I sent it right back to him within the hour of reviving it! So I never even saw the money! Now I am not allowed to work due to mental and physical health reasons so I am receiving social security once a month so I do not have a lot of money. This has really hurt me in more ways than one! I dont know what to do except work on paying back what I believe he stole from me! I would like for him and his whole little operation he has going on to be shut down severely dealt with and thrown in jail! This is not ok to do this to anyone especially when times are so tough right now.
