AEG recomended by local kitchen company as have 5 year warranty and 20% cashback.
I have the warranty and cashback.
However also have:
Damaged chimney hood (scratch and dent)
Chimney hood that turns it self on to full setting at least twice a week even though switched off
Oven door ( cost 拢700 oven ) with dent in door on delivery, clearly damaged when packed in factory as all packaging was intact on arrival. Lack of quality control, I would suggest.

None of appliances have yet been used to test as kitchen not finished. Have been promised 2 engineer visits to fix/replace door but both have been postponed at short notice, we have lost a day's holiday.

Dread to think what awaits us when we start to use the appliances….
I wish that I had ordered NEFF or Bosch looking at the horror stories on here.

I purchased an AEG top of the range Washer Dryer Model L87695NWD.
The first one failed after 11 months and despite trying to repair it three times over a period of 6-8 weeks it was eventually replaced under warranty. Surprisingly for a top end model the replacement unit also failed circa 11 months later. After two visits over a period 16 days the unit is still not repaired. Contacted Electrolux and after waiting an inordinate amount of time to get through to someone available to take my call we had a brief discussion on what constitutes a service visit, IMHO someone who arrives to fix a fault is normally classed as a visit, however apparently Electrolux service department do not class the first visit as a visit, it is a diagnostic experience !!! Based on my previous experience with respect to the companies ability to repair the machine I asked to speak with someone senior to be advised that someone would kindly call me back in 24 Hrs. I found the complete customer experience pretty poor, I also have been in this position for the second time in twelve months and suffice to say it is extremely unlikely I would purchase an AEG product or recommend their products going forward. One extremely dissatisfied customer. The service engineer was courteous and polite however I would respectfully suggest the time allocated did not appear to allow him to stay and watch the unit operating.

They do not abide by the 2015 Consumer Rights Act if your appliance develops a fault. They will not replace my leaking freezer even after 3 engineers tried to fix it with paper and sponge taped to the bottom!!!! The Zanussi freezer is clearly not fit for purpose nor of a satisfactory quality but I am left out of pocket with damaged floorboards and no working freezer.

Continually passing the buck. Will not deal with issues of broken machines. I bought an AEG Tumble Drier 17 months ago. After 4 major part replacements the machine is broken again. I will never buy AEG again. They are just not interested in customers.

Brand new oven which already has a fault and not yet been used. Phoned to register appliance and the man was rude and patronising. Got another number to call now to sort out the fault but not available until Monday. Rubbish service.

Our Electrolux dishwasher developed a problem where it didnt drain the water so we called to get it repaired. Electrolux then scheduled a repair through 'Respond Services' their contracted engineer supplier. This is when the problems started.

We scheduled a repair date via phone call for a few days later and specified that we would like the engineer to come in the morning. Operator said 'thats fine, I'll book it for AM'. No problem we thought, hopefully we wont be without the dishwasher for too long.

The day before the engineer was due Respond Services called us and said the engineer is sick and can't come out the following day. Ok we thought, people get sick it's not a problem when can we re-schedule for? Frustratingly, this seemed to push us to the back of the queue and we were given a date a week later. Annoying but what could we do?
So, then the real fun starts. The engineer is due to come out tomorrow and we have literally just received an SMS to tell us that he will arrive between 6am and 8am. What? 6am-8am? Thats a bit early. So we called to move the time as that's not convenient for a family of 4 who have school runs etc to deal with. Respond Services were ridiculously unhelpful. The operator told us we would be charged a late cancellation fee for wanting to change the time and when we explained that we'd only just been told the time she said we'd agreed to AM and that's what we got so we'd need to pay to change it. I asked why we weren't told the engineers working hours before and was repeatedly told we chose an AM slot and that's what we got. So… based on this logic i could expect the engineer anytime from 12AM onwards could I? The operator kept saying my point was irrelevant and I needed to pay a fee to change the time. Absolutely ridiculous behaviour that defies logic! How can you say AM and not specify when the working day starts. I guess it's our own fault for not asking but in all my years I've never been told that a morning call out could be anytime as long as it qualifies as AM.

After a long conversation going nowhere and speaking to the supervisor (who seemed to be a colleague as opposed to an official supervisor) i was told that the complaints channel was the generic email address on the website that would go to…drumroll… the person i was talking to on the phone. What a great process!

Finally, I must mention Electrolux. We were so angry with Respond Services that we called Electrolux to complain. The number was a UK number but somehow we ended up talking to a german customer services rep who proceeded to tell us it wasn't her problem and why were we calling her! We explained that the number is the same one we booked the repair on and were told that we weren't listening and that she couldn't do anything. She then started raising her voice even though we were totally calm until my wife asked why she was shouting, only to be told that we're not getting it so she had to raise her voice. We asked for her name and were met with silence as she hung up on us.

What a wonderful experience all round. We have Joe Bloggs from 'Respond Badly Services' coming to our house at the perfectly chipper time of 6AM and have been shouted at by the company who's dishwasher he's coming to fix for not listening when we were supposed to.

Cooker hood under warranty zanussi repair company came out on 8 separate occasions to fix finally resulting in they saying that they would charge me the cost of coming out for a 9th time. All along they should have been reporting the issue to Electrolux but never did until after the 8th attempt to repair. Electrolux refused to exchange as they say the warranty doesn't cover a replacement. Needless to say I will never buy a zanussi product again.

I have had the Oven BSE774320M for just over a month so have been unable to use all the 20 plus main functions therefore I will concentrate on what I have used to date.
This is an advanced oven with plenty of functions to support and please the experienced chef/cook whilst maintaining an easy to use approach for the less advanced or beginner cook. It delivers in other words it cooks in line with expectations and has often exceeded those expectations even when you consider it鈥檚 a high calibre oven. Pyrolytic cleaning is essential and the 3 time settings which allow the oven to be cleaned to different levels gives amazing control over the whole process. Who wouldn鈥檛 enjoy not having to clean their cooker!!!
We hear lots about steam for use around the house today, high calibre steam irons and mops so how is the steam aspect of this cooker. Another case of more than exceeds expectations as the 鈥渟team鈥?functions keep food succulent, tasty and delicious. We may be in a digital age but this oven transforms your cooking from the 鈥渢ransport鈥?caf茅 to 鈥淥rient Express鈥?standard.
First Impressions
Wow, Sleek looking with Brushed Steel/Silver finish with digital display and touch controls with no buttons or switches, nice to look at but what about in use. You need to remember that the controls are below the display and the display is not 鈥渢ouch鈥?screen. That said no buttons or switches provides for easier cleaning as there is no need to have to clean in those awkward hard to reach areas.

The instruction manual is over 52 pages so plenty of information; perhaps too much as I initially felt overwhelmed by the number of options. Fortunately the main cooking functions are accessible and easy to work out without having to refer to or read the manual. Great for those who just can鈥檛 be bothered to digest manuals!

An Access (link) to a more comprehensive manual or recipe book would be useful especially for some of the more 鈥渆xotic鈥?functions.
Before Using
Setting up, there are a number of things to adhere to before using the oven for the first time, including 鈥渨ater hardness鈥?which can account for using 鈥淗ard鈥?water to prevent limescale. Fortunately I do not have to worry about that. Finally remember to 鈥渦se鈥?the oven to remove any residue before first time use.
No Chance of Burnt Dinners
Multiple timer functions for starting and stopping the cooking process work well however you need to remember to factor in the cooling time to prevent over cooking. Sliding shelf and temperature probe are also included.
Pyrolytic Function
The oven has a 鈥渟elf cleaning鈥?or Pyrolytic function with 3 settings/durations, the oven goes through a 鈥渄rying鈥?stage to remove any remaining water (from Steam cooking) prior to the 鈥渂urning鈥?off the residue from the body of the cooker. The oven is locked through this process.
You need to remember to remove all shelves etc. from the oven and the display reminds you to do this. The 鈥淕rey鈥?residue can then be wiped clean with a damp cloth with any remaining stubborn dirt requiring a bit more effort.
Tip: When removing accessories especially the rails, place a finger next to the 鈥渟ocket鈥?on the side wall which will help with rail removal and prevent the 鈥渟ocket鈥?being pulled from the side wall.
The glass in the door can be removed for cleaning as this does not see the full heat during the cleaning process.
The shelves and rails are stainless steel (as opposed to 鈥渘on stick鈥? so should be 鈥渄ishwasher鈥?safe.

Heating Functions
True fan cooking
Bakes food on a choice of shelves and the fan moves the heat evenly around the oven at a lower temperature than during conventional cooking. I have cooked chicken and casseroles and it works in line with expectations.
Pizza Setting
Pizza is cooked (including fresh dough) produces a nice and crispy base as the heat is more intensive on the bottom. Toppings on thicker bases may become over cooked, thinner bases may be overcooked if adhere to suggested timing. A case of practice makes perfect! Delicious pizza without resorting to take out.
Frozen Foods
This cooks 鈥渃onvenience鈥?foods such as chicken fillets quickly and makes them crispy on the outside. Very tasty food is produced but need to check that not overcooked.
Grilling and Turbo Grilling
Toast and bacon is cooked evenly with a nice colour in all areas of the oven.
Moist Fan Baking 鈥?Energy Saving
To prepare baked goods in tins on one shelf position in accordance with cooking tables.
I used this for a sponge cake (from a mix) without referring to any tables and this produced a moist evenly bake cake.
Specials
Dough Proving
Dough usually needs to be covered with a damp cloth/cling film otherwise it dries out during the proving process as it increases in size prior to cooking. This function uses steam to keep the air moist and prevents the surface being contaminated or damaged by the cloth. It works really well and proves at 35 Celsius which cannot be changed and is timed which can be changed.
Bread Baking
This function can be used to prepare bread and bread rolls and uses steam to keep the air moist during the process, the temperature and timing can be changed. Need to keep an eye on the process as results will vary depending on type of bread being baked.
Ciabatta bread was well cooked inside with soft dough and a crisp outside. I used the timer function on Seeded brown bread which was a bit 鈥渙ver鈥?cooked as I had to leave the bread in the oven during the cool down process. This would have been perfect if removed earlier.

Overall I am very pleased with this high calibre oven and look forward to exploring the other features and continuing my adventures with Steam.

To be honest there should be an option for 0 stars.
I bought a fridge and separate freezer total costing me over 拢1300 in September 2015. The products were delivered in October.
I was told these products are great and reliable at the time of purchase.
The separate fridge and freezer were displayed with the door handles showing as opening like an American style. I was told both appliances will be delivered to me like this.
On arrival the handles were both on the same side. After numerous calls to Respond Services and Currys I was informed I will have to pay over a hundred pounds to get it changed.
I paid and got the handles changed. I was misinformed and sold the products as how they are displayed which is wrong by currys. That鈥檚 the first thing that went wrong in my purchases.
The freezer was delivered but was damaged so this was replaced.
However, the fridge has given me grief since day one. The cooling stopped first time round. After numerous visits from the engineer. He fitted lots of parts took him half a day.
After 6 months cooling has gone again. Engineer arrived and confirmed same issue will let management know who will replace the fridge.
I rang just for an update then to be told the engineer will come and fit the same part. I was furious by then and the lady could only say if you want this date then let me know otherwise the later dates available is after 2 weeks.
Engineer arrived he fitted the part and said it he cooling will go again so maybe then you might get a replacement.
I have 5 years warranty on these products. The fridge is clearly faulty from the start. Under the consumer act I am entitled to a replacement fridge.
So why AEG or RESPOND SERVICES being a pain. It鈥檚 not going to coming out of their pockets but the insurance domestic and general who are underwriters.
They have confirmed I鈥檓 entitled to a new one but AEG still insist on fixing.
The government should not allow Companies like AEG to still be in business as they rip consumers off.
They should be investigated and sued. The people they have conned should be paid back.
My request to the public 鈥減lease don鈥檛 waste your money on AEG products鈥?br />
I wish I had read these reviews and I would never have gone near AEG products in Currys.

Purchased the whole kitchen set from Howdens, as AEG is marketed as the best stuff however;
The fan assisted oven cremates one side of any dish and leaves one side very underdone.

The Microwave broke before even heating anything and has needed new parts with a lead time of a few weeks.

The Dishwasher leaks and has damaged the brand new kitchen

All items have been installed less than a month by qualified installers

Customer service has been pretty terrible,

Seems we are not alone – Not so much a complaint about the company as we haven't had any contact with them – We can'!!!!!

They never seemed to answer the phones.

We have now had the oven 18 months and thought we would put of sharing out observations in case our minds changed – they have not and as far as we can see, never will.

These are our genuine observations.

The oven we bought was an NC4013001 double oven from Currys.

Firstly delivery via Currys was a nightmare and one that we will not repeat.

The oven grill does not grill evenly – forever swapping stuff from the left and right side to the centre.
The thermostat on the top oven when the grill is used cuts off very easily thus stopping the grilling process until it has cooled down a bit.
The fan is quiet but might as well not be – when the oven or grill are on they seems to set up an electrical vibration which makes the unit noisy until we hit it.
Both ovens seem to produce far more condensation than our old oven (which wasn't AEG) thus we are forever having to wipe the base of the door openings.
The heat insulation on it is so bad that when the lower oven is on, the upper oven gets hot – not an efficient use of electricity.
The side support brackets are a nightmare to take out to clean.
We originally thought that the push in control knobs were a good idea but they are not.

Our very first oven many years, was an AEG – very good quality and reliability.

Sadly in our opinion the quality of these ovens now is very poor and we expect there will be reliability problems soon.

Sorry but never again.

After my recent dealing with AEG I would not recommend there products. The after care is a nightmare. My cooker door fell off after ten months. They came out with the wrong door, only to be told they would have to order another one. They did not care about the inconvenience caused. Just told me to use a microwave. I would never purchase a AEG product again.

Very poor have called four times to clarify a simple question regarding fridge. Emailed twice with photos both times promised a response eventually called back and they claimed they had not received emails and had no record of the query. When asked if I could speak to a supervisor on the forth call this was refused. Never buy from Aeg .

No way to give 0 stars here I'm afraid. After 14mths our washing machine began ruining washing loads of clothes with brown oily stains. After contacting AEG and their "Service Centre" (in quotes because there is little "service") I had an engineer booked.

After a week with no machine (family of 5!) the engineer came out, spent 30secs diagnosing that the bearings had gone. Part would come in a day or two. During that time I was unable to book a follow up appointment as you can only do that when the parts were in, then you obviously need to wait for a further appointment.

Another weeks passes, appointment booked. Engineer confirmed the day before and told he would be there between 9-12pm. After 9am that morning, and after another day off work, I get a call to advise that the part that came in was damaged and engineer wouldn't be out.

Expedited delivery of new part and engineer booked again. Against confirmed as a morning appointment (the day before). Again, after 9am I get another call to say that the engineer would now be out in the afternoon.

In short, 3 days leave lost and countless items of clothing ruined. Complained to AEG only to be told that they would review internally and since it was an internal matter I wouldn't be told of any outcome, but thanks for letting them know.

So washing machine fixed, but no chance of me buying another AEG/Electrolux product based on customer service alone.

The irony is that I was very understanding at the start of the process; things break down, that's life and that's why you have guarantees but when you start getting messed around like this you lose patience and interest dealing with idiots.

I have just rung AEG customer service, regarding the poor design of their Tower double oven. I tried to reason with the operator I spoke to, explaining that having to physically remove the doors simply to clean the glass, is not to be undertaken lightly, as they are very heavy and I am not now able to perform this task. She tried to tell me that the removal of the doors is not necessary, but the manual tells me otherwise. I was not able to pull off the plastic housing, as she advised and I have therefore asked my son to have a go and if he cannot do it I shall phone them again before he leaves here and he can reiterate it.

AEG warranty is a scam, be warned, do not purchase from this company. My 4 month old dishwasher has broken and when an engineer attended to repair it today he was unable to slide the machine out, as the leg at the back of the machine will not adjust when he turns the screw. I believe this is another fault of a substandard machine, however I am now being told that I have to pay a 拢66 charge for the non repair today as he has summised the leg was on damaged on installation. He has no way of knowing this as it is in situe where it should be. So they will not come back to fix the faulty heating element unless I pay 拢66 for nothing being done today. The only way to get the machine out now will be to force it out, which will snap the leg, which will then be my fault. The authorised repairer say AEG need to pay them for the callout and AEG are also saying the leg must have been damaged on installation: despite there being no evidence to support this. The warranty is not worth the paper it's written on, my sister also had a year long battle with AEG regarding her dishwasher. Save your money and the stress of dealing with this company and buy elsewhere. I am now waiting for a call back from a team leader next week in which I fully expect to be fobbed off with more excuses.

The star ratings may improve but having been provided with extended warranty with the purchase of my AEG washer drier I have now had the pleasure of 6 engineers visiting my house first one on 29 June and the last one has just left today. I've called Electrolux on a number of occasions during the last month and am non the wiser as to what happens next鈥?on my last call it was mentioned that another engineer may need to come out to do a full diagnostics on the machine. I sincerly hope this is not the case as diagnostics have been done by the previous engineer. Is it that Electrolux doesn't in fact trust the service engineers they engage? With this amount of visits and parts tried in my machine I am questioning the efficiency of the whole process. I am rather fearing more procrastination and time before I have washer drier in my house that works.

Electrolux cooker
We were flooded in2007 so we had a new very expensive Electrolux cooker in that time we have had 2 new grills for it .
The last one about 3 years ago it went again in February so we spoke to the people that done the repair last time to order a new grill they have been trying to get one for us sence February and we were being told that it would be some months befor they could get one from Electrolux.
We were willing to wait as the rest of the cooker is like new as we look after it as we are retired and we dont have a lot of money spare .
Today we got a phone from the repair people to say that Electrolux are no longer making the part and its obsolete.
So not very happy we rang Electrolux to ask them what they can do to help lol well we might as well asked them for a new car for all the help they were (NOT ) apparently the policy is after 10 years to stop making spare parts for their appliances.
So the girl on the phone basically saying tuff luck we cant help you as the parts are no longer made go buy a new cooker .
To us this is absolutely disgusting as i said to the girl if she or anyone went a bought a new car and in 10 years time she went in to get a new clutch and was told it was no longer made go and buy a new car what would she say ?.
To us this policy of Electrolux is going is disgusting we believe we should be doing our bit to save this planet and not wast precious materials we are now going to take this very good in every way cooker on a local rubbish tip thanks to Electrolux .
Ps we allso found out there are 300 other customers waiting for the same grill lol best of luck to them and we hope like us they all wright to the managing director of Electrolux .
