The flights are delayed all the time. Our flight was delayed one day, so we had to stay overnight again in Mauritius. We had to badger the airline to pay for our hotel, it was quite a struggle. We asked them to pay our meals, as is standard in these situations — we got no response. We sent them our receipts and asked them to reimburse our meals — zero response. The customer service is horrible to nonexistent. Do yourself a huge favor and avoid flying this horrendous excuse for an airline.

Outward flight to MRI, staff were attentive and helpful as travelling with a baby and two grandchildren. Staff ensured that mother and baby had everything they needed for the flight. Children well catered for. Meals and drinks ok for adults.
The return journey was awful, staff did not supply baby food and this had to be requested, drinks were rushed, staff were more interested in chatting among themselves, service appalling. This airline needs to revisit its customer service training to compete with other major airlines. I fly to Mauritius twice a year and use different carriers and I have to say that Air Mauritius is the worst at customer service, which is a shame!

Fly very often, also with MK
Service is very bad, my wife twice receive food which already smell very bad.
Last Flight frmo Mauritius to Kuala Lumpur 6 hrs delay, lost connection flight! They didn鈥檛 care for nothing not for Hotel not for transfer.
Back they canceled the flight! No Information nothing! They fly one day earlier! In the plane there was ex Prime Minister so probably for him they didn鈥檛 care for US!
Have to wait long until he goes out and again because luggage! Impossible

Leg room is always an issue but overall I've always had great service when travelling with my baby girl who was 5 months old. Customer service was great and they even let me have a nap whilst they took care of my baby. Very courteous and polite. Clean and very responsive to customers needs and requirements. Informative and on-schedule reports was very helpful. Only thing is economy class is a disaster and travellers are literally crammed in like sardines. It's not healthy and tensions run high when your very tired because its a run flight from London to Mauritius visa versa. Food isn't always great but you can't expect much being in economy class – nevertheless customers are all the same whether you paid more or not, it all still costs money. I salute the cabin crew for theyre devotion and hard work.

The 12 hour flight from Mauritius to Amsterdam was really uncomfortable with narrow seats and no legroom. The food was pretty boring – for lunch chicken or lamb and for supper lamb or chicken ;-).

But the worst was that our flight was 4 hours delayed which meant we missed our connection from Amsterdam and had to overnight there, arriving at our final destination 12 hours later than planned, incurring extra costs. KLM who we booked through said Air Mauritius had to pay the 250 euro pp compensation but Air Mauritius has refused to – offering us access to their VIP lounge next time we are in Mauritius instead! NEVER AGAIN with Air Mauritius!

We flew direct to Mauritius two weeks ago… the leg room is absolutely terrible. I am tall (190cm) but it's the worse long haul leg room I've experienced. Also, the inflight entertainment was awful… a very limited choice of films and the only recent ones were all sequels (not great if you haven't seen the original).
Just to make matters worse, we were on our honeymoon and on the return flight they moved us so we were sat separately from each other. Not a very nice way to end our otherwise amazing trip!

I booked a trip to Mauritius for my best friend's wedding. Unfortunately the wedding didn't go ahead. They had problems and broke up. I spent over 拢1,200 for the two tickets (for me and my wife) and cancelled in good time, with plenty of notice.

Air Mauritius refused to refund a penny of the flights.
They wouldn't even give a credit so we could fly with them in the future.

A total rip-off airline.

If you plan to travel to Mauritius I urge you NOT to fly with Air Mauritius! Go with British Airways or any other respectable airline.
