TOTAL SCAM

total scam when flying and you lose something don't use this site. I was desperate to find something we left on a airplane. Airlines don't charge you when reporting lost items. This website just takes reports but doesn't help to find anything he gets 29.95 for doing absolutely nothing but optimizing his website so it gets the hits.

SCAM!!!! They will respond to you, but come back saying they couldn't locate. We left my sons passport on the plane. A lady called and said she had it. I literally gave them the exact location and name of who to speak to, and they couldn't handle it. Basically I was throwing money at them to just be the middle-man and obtain the passport and mail it to me.

Do not use this site. You will part with your money. Contact the airline or airport directly!

Don't touch this site. It's a scam. They don't give you a claim number and don't return phone calls. If you accidentally pay them, call your credit card company to dispute the charge and get it reversed from your account.

A Scam Site Do Not Touch It
The reportedlost.com site is the same as this – a very professional-looking site, but a complete fraud.
Evidence: in the 'how it works' explanation up front on the site it explains 3 easy steps, the last of which is "Found" – there is NO mention that they will ask you for $30, at the end just before submitting your details, but they do.
My loss was reported as being at JFK international airport, New York……their follow up email managed to state that my loss was at Dublin airport, Ireland.
When I repeatedly emailed and posted messages on their site complaining about the switch of airport (which negated any search) and the surprise late request for $30, and asking for an explanation and a refund, I received NO reply at all, over a period of three weeks.
Then I googled to learn that this and other similar websites are complete scams.

I was very upset that I lost my camera after/during a flight and couldn't remember where it was so I was frantically trying to contact all of the airports I had been to (3). This and another $30 scam site popped up first. I would have noticed they were ads if I wasn't so upset. However, I was left in an Uber and retrieved (thanks to Hassan, great guy! ) and he told me another passenger told him it was in the back (Seattle has some great people). Although they put it in their database, the airport has a free one…that's why this is a scam. $30 and just a database, what agents are there trying to solve the case if they're "not affiliated with any airline, airport, etc."? It's all BS! They said they would refund me but I haven't heard back about when. Paypal is crud lately and won't refund me. Then I saw the reviews for the other sites like this. I will get my money back somehow.
