Amazon affiliate program is crazy restrictive some people get the approved and threatening termination email at the exact same time.
The rejection process is actually the worst I've ever seen they don't even really tell you why many folks get an email from with links that don't work as a reason for rejection or termination. Once you have been terminated that's it no second chance ever. This includes if your site or links fall below the set traffic rate and again if this happens no appeal no second chance so if you have a dry spell that option is gone.
Customer service does not apply to affiliates do not expect the same level of service you get when shopping "thank you for being a prime member" etc
The affiliate contacts are harsh some open with a cheery hello then immediately demand removal of any and all ads (even if you have none) and threaten further action against any account on Amazon related to the affiliate program or not.

Good luck figuring out why you may have been rejected even if you have followed all the rules.

Any and all content on your sites Must meet their rules and regardless if amazon sells it or you purchase it off amazon they can terminate your account without reason or recourse and in fact tell you specifically they will not read or accept any further communication from you after the first reply

The list of rules that you have to follow is vast and you need to read every one and follow them
Amazon seems to be more allowing of affiliates over seas which makes it difficult if you are in Canada a quick look on YouTube will tell you that.

It can be beyond frustrating spending years working towards the goal of being an affiliate to be shunned so abruptly and without reason or reconsideration.

Amazon expects you to be understanding of their screw ups late or lost items extreme overcharges, double billing, removing prime features but never dropping the price etc but they do not pay that forward to you.

Once you have had this experience it will affect every other interaction with Amazon depending on what the reps writes on your account and your name your sin# banking information social insurance number credit cards etc are all in their database so they have everything about you.

The pandemic changed amazon they no longer need people to like them they own it all so the service has changed it really shows they don't need affiliates or even your business they have everyone else's so your not important.

Save your time and use another affiliate program because amazon can and will gut you without explaining and black list your information making online business very difficult for you in the future it's not worth the risk

It's one of the worst service from Amazon India regarding the payment.
When it comes for payment no-one will respond to your email.
Once you close the account you will get a mail.
You keep on opening new Account once your commission go up they will close your account and again you will get the same email to reapply.
Below is a line of a mail from Amazon. Till date no payment is confirmed from Amazon

I referred someone to order products that I've used from Amazon. That person bought 35 items in one month and I received 0 commission. I was told that my referrals were ineligible for earnings. I was unable to dispute and they would give me no direct answer as to why the decision was made.

Payment didn't reach my bank. After 2 months all I am told is to wait. One chat support person says they will sort it out in 2 days, others say the payment would be resent, but in the end I get this:

As an Amazon Affiliate member i have given my best sales with a short period of time, today i received a mail from amazon that my account has been rejected due to less followers in Instagram, this doesn't make a sense – even if my followers are low in Instagram I am able to sale the product with more then the expectation of amazon, while creating an account with amazon affiliate in emergency i created a new Instagram account so my followers are less but amazon team could have given a prior notice or would have checked my Facebook account or could have said to link your Facebook account – this is not the right way to reject applicant which was performing good, Very much disappointed from Amazon team and there is no contact details for have a query on it – Hence forth due to disappointment i would not recommend any one to buy from amazon – my followers and all my friends, I would say them to cancel all the items which were been ordered from my link because no response from amazon team. Kindly take action immediate. (From my understanding and research today its completely a fraud thing – there are around 900000 members as amazon affiliate

If 10 affiliate done a sale means Rs. 4, 00, 000
If 100 affiliate done a sale means Rs. 40, 00, 000
They are creating a impact from the affiliates in order to reach out to the customers and buy the product by convincing later point of time they are increasing their sale and cheating the affiliate programmers)

I have generated many sales from my Amazon Affiliate page and haven't received commission for anything, except one product that I never promoted. Technical support, I chatted with for over an hour, could not give me any answers and literally said there is no escalation process for this matter. I was told that I MAY not be receiving commission because Amazon autodetects when family and friends purchase from my storefront and deems their purchases to be invalid. Not only is this speculation and not an exact answer, because the technical support said they did not know for sure, but this rule is hypocritical as I list the link on my social media which is comprised of friends, family, and fans. Basically, I generated sales for this company and have not received compensation as promised. And I also have not received a reasonable or definitive explanation either.

I don't know how it has changed over time but I personally have found it impossible to even BEGIN to try to advertise with them. They say you will earn the API key after 3 sales and so many views or whatever. But to use the plugins in order to sell anything, you have to have the API key. Ok. So I can't use the plugins, yet. fine. no big deal. I'll just include the links manually using the SiteStripe. Only the links either say, "No product", won't load the pictures, or simply stalls at "retrieving price and rating" and never fully loads. Even if that WASN'T the case and i'm just too dumb to get this going right, the reviews are all stating that they delete you as an associate for no reason, use you as free advertising and won't pay out, and ignore support requests. Just don't bother. It's unnecessarily complicated to become an advertiser, and if you do, you're screwed anyway.

I joined this program in January 2020 last week and it was approved … did not conceal anything and very clearly mentioned all the URLs of my social media network where I will be doing the promotions including my quora profile . In the month of Feb I made 400 INR and I got an email from amazon saying miniumum payout is 1000 Rs so we are doing the carry over of this amount for your next payment then the lock down happened and I could not do any promotions for two months March and April .. as no deliveries were happening … then when lock down opened in the month May I did promotions again and I made about 725 INR as reflected in the dashboard . In the month of June report sent on email it was not showing any income for me so I had send an email to amazon in the first week of June and this is what they replied that we have closed your account as you are not meeting our minimum requirements . They revoked my access I do not have any proof my income with affiliate marketing and moreover If I am not supposed to do promotions on my social media network where I do it then and it took them 5 months to realize that I do not meet their min requirements . Money payable to me was not a big amount but I am really upset the way amazon is behaving , thousands of people lost their jobs during this Pandemic people were looking for some side income this was their big hope I am sure Amazon has done with other people too in the same manner … Shame on them they call themselves a global company and this is the way they behave already I am seeing a negative trend of online shopping in my country India , I hope and pray this company closes down and move out my country.

I had been an affiliate with Amazon for YEARS from early on when I started blogging. I always followed their guidelines and reached out whenever I had questions. About a year ago (give or take at this point) I received a notice from Amazon that I was removed from their affiliate program for "violating their guidelines" and to correct the issues to avoid the account closure, but it was not clear nor did it state exactly WHY or WHAT I did. I responded and asked for an explanation several times and NEVER received a response back. About a month later, after NO response from them (via both responding to the email and contacting them through the contact form on the Amazon associates dashboard, I got the official notice of the closure to my affiliate account. Again, no clear explanation.

To my knowledge, I never actually violated their terms. I always left the disclosures, etc. If I did actually violate their terms, as they claim, why would they never respond to my reply? It comes across as a complete setup to get free advertising then using a false claim to not have to pay people. I've heard of this happening to quite a few others as well. Amazon has proven over the years to be a dishonest company and clearly doesn't treat it's employees nor affiliates well. Everyone is just another number to them.

I never leave a bad review but affiliates doing storefronts for amazon get absolutely nothing paid out…everything is categorized as someone who has a personal connection to you places an order.

either a friend, family , or personal but they never state how this assumption is made how on earth can you tell if someone is a friend or stranger….because clearly they will be following you at some point to be able to see your website link even though they are not your friends…horrible service and program and they never state how they make their decisions so be ware that anyone will be considered a friend.

I fully endorse the views of several people here as I too have faced the same. After a few months they just remove you as an Associate, but hey hang on even if they have the right to terminate you as an Associate with specifying what the issue is apart from vague reasons like does not meet Amazon requirements, HERE'S HOW THEY MAKE THEIR PROFITS, UPON TERMINATION THEY REFUSE TO PAY ALL THE UNPAID COMMISSION S WHICH IS CHEAP, UNETHICAL AND CORRUPT BEHAVIOUR EXHIBITED BY CROOKS, FRAUDSTERS AND SIMILAR FLY BY NIGHT SCUM….ONLY DIFFERENCE IS WE ARE SEEING THIS BEING DONE BY A MULTI BILLION DOLLAR CORPORATION

I assure you that for the first time in my life I am writing a review, and unfortunately negative.
I have been a partner with Amazon Associates for about three months, but my account has been blocked.
I will try to explain: my website is dedicated to the review of online stores with affiliate links to the store's main page or services, and, accordingly, there are no links to specific products of the store. After the first sales, Amazon Associates approved my account and traffic source, and for three months I spent my money promoting Amazon. After this time (on the eve of payment) Amazon Associates blocked the account without the possibility of payment. Appeal filed, but it was rejected.
How can a previously approved account with an approved traffic source suddenly become unacceptable for payouts? Isn't that a SCAM? Maybe they earn on non-payments?
I am sure that this is not fair and looks like SCAM against partners. I understand that their company policy is aimed at customers, not partners. But this is not at all respectful to the partners.
P.S. If I had read all these reviews about them before becoming an Amazon partner, I would not have contacted them. I sincerely ask you to spend a couple of minutes of your time writing a review about them. This is very important for those who think to cooperate with them or not. And I wish everyone to work with those who pay and respect your work !!!

Amazon associated is a whole separate world from what you may be used to with Amazon. They shut down my account for a vague reason when I started making too much money. They also locked me out of it so I will have no idea if they pay me correctly if I even see payment. The customer service for Associates is rude and condescending! Other who said they set you up to fail are right.

There are an overwhelming amount of Amazon Associates being duped by Amazon. No accountability, no attempts to resolve this serious crime. Contracts and Terms of Service may be written although they are often not lawful.

According to the TERMS OF SERVICE Amazon can delete shut you down and keep your earnings with or without cause.

There are law firms who would jump at the chance to represent Amazon Associates with this crime as well as others.

There are many different concerns out there with Amazons business practices. Based on a quick search it appears they're often being sued. Again, do not be intimidated by their terms or deep pockets. Their terms seem to be unlawful and challengeable under the law.

Do a search for a power house firm with a strong class action background. With the appropriate evidence there will be no upfront fees from you. Look into strong capable firms who have had a class action suit with Amazon.

Essentially, I had a site running under the affiliate program for about a year. In July 2019 it was terminated for no reason, except a vague email about compliance. I can bring a site into compliance, but there was no offer just termination. I stood the site back up and revamped it to meet the affiliate program compliance requirements and that affiliate was also taken down.

Poor customer service. The cost to me is greater that $1000 over two months of sales. I generated greater than $12K in revenue for AWS in that two months and I will get nothing out of it.

At least give us a chance to be compliant instead of hiding behind your program agreement and emails like a bunch of cowards.

They canceled 2 of my accounts for no reason. One with $1000 on it in commission. The other only $5 bucks. However money the second time is nothing. I had to create everything, by my self took over 6 months. Redo my other links for the new account. Out of nowhere cancelled my account and would help. Just said final. I want to complain to there boss. And to Jeff. I personally hate Amazon now. And will stop using them as much

I am totally shocked by how insensitive, autocratic, and uncaring the people are who run the Amazon Associates Program. After spending weeks of time and spending a considerable amount of money setting up a First Class Website with Hundreds and Hundreds of Amazon Products (https://femdomemporium.com/), I then unveiled the Website, and began to spend more money with Google Ads marketing the site.
People started buying products and I started earning the Measeley 4% or 7 % commission on the products which they were buying. I figured that over time, as the Website built followers, I would eventually start making some money due to volume.
Sorry – that didn't happened.
Without any warning or advice from Amazon, I received an email telling me that Amazon was shutting down my Associate Account because I had prices on my website.
Yes, I made a mistake. I honestly didn't know that I couldn't show any prices on my Website. Instead of giving me a chance to fix the problem, they shut me down. I could have fixed the problem in a couple of hours. Instead, I am now spending days taking all of the Amazon Products off of my website, and replacing them with products from other sources. I've been at it for three days already, and still have a long way to go to get all of the Amazon Products off of my Website.
Absolutely sickening how they could be so insensitive to someone who put up a first class website and was selling their products. No chance to fix the mistake. They just shut you down not even taking into consideration all of the work that you went through to build the links for hundreds of their products, or the money you spent marketing those products. They think that their Shi.. doesn't stink. No concern for the little guy making them money.
If you want to make money, I'd suggest that you spend your time and energy building a site without Amazon.

I work for a couple different companies that have an Amazon Associate program setup. My experience has been mixed in the past, but recently getting setup with a new enrollment has been the most frustrating, drawn out, and seemingly impossible task.

The new account was setup, just as all the others. All the requested business information, bank information for payment, tax information for payout, etc. During the 1st week while our account was being "fully reviewed" for setup you can typically start creating links and using them. So we wanted to get up and running right away. However, the Product Linking API, was not available for some reason so I contacted support. Support informed me that Amazon is no longer allowing associate accounts to access this feature without approval and a business justification. So the associate on the phone walked me through submitting such a request on their site, and said I should hear back in a couple days.

A couple days went by and I received a response saying our business justification for access to the Product API is not valid. So they would not give us access to this feature, and they are deactivating our Amazon Associate account. Since these are two separate issues and access to the Product API shouldn't have any impact on our associate account I attempted to reach out to get details. So far, we have reached out more than half a dozen times requesting reinstating our account or justification as to why the account itself has been deactivated, to no avail. Days after each time reaching out we have received the same copy and paste generic response above. Frustrating and just plain terrible customer service!

(Amazon) my order has not been received, the order was placed on June 26,2018 and it was supposed to arrive on June 30,2018. My problem is as on my amazon account shows that my order has been delivered, but it's not like that. I wrote a message to customer service Amazon to which I was responded with indifference from a consultant service, that my order has been delivered. The order was not delivered to my address,there is definitely a mistake from the courier.the courier delivered the command to the wrong address. and I also lost money and I didn't get the order!they said they would not refund money,I'm annoyed and disappointed by the Amazon company! be careful when ordered from them!

I ordered 2 sets of wireless ear buds and paid an extra $15 For express delivery . This took place since April 4th. I did not receive my order within the express delivery date and on top of it all I still haven't received my order nor can I get a refund and the company will not even answer my request to be refunded for the items I never received. The supplier is Dingrui co.Ltd. I will never order from Amazon ever again.

The difference between a good company and a bad one is the way they treat their employees and affiliates! I have sent about a few 100,000$ in sales. However Amazons terms of service is designed to make you fail! No matter how loyal you are to them, they will shut you down and keep your money. I called everyday to make sure I was in compliance, I was told yes! I would also ask the same question to different representatives and get a differnt answer, it was literally how the person on the other line interprets the Terms of sevice. I was shut down anyway resulting in a loss of over 8k! According to the TOS they can delete you and keep your earnings With or Without cause! Apparently they think people just do this as a hobby! Not the case. Im a mom of 4. I took a huge blow. Do not work with amazon because your loyalty to them will not matter. They must get FREE advertising from affiliates whom they just shutdown after a while and keep their money also! Stay far away! Their terms of service was designed to make you fail!
