my reply to Ardennes-Etape
you can check the website if you don't believe me you enter your desired date and they will adjust it to what they can provide (profit is priority)
usually, when you enter your date it provides you with the selected date and I double-checked but the problem was that it was the same dates but in different weeks so I didn't notice the change in weeks
after sending several emails and spending hours on the calling center they actually were very friendly and she even had mercy on me but she couldn't really help me
after a week I received a response stating that the deposit will be refunded and the rest will be on a voucher
and here I am pissed off after mistakenly finding this website I regret the bitter moment and I advise everyone to stay away from them
because if you will encounter a problem only a calling center will listen to your problems and not be able to help you and the company will keep the money and refund you only with a voucher and if you don't live in Belgium like me it's literally worthless

What a great company with an amazing selection of great properties for rent across the Ardennes. We have used them on several occasions now and have always had a great experience from from the initial searching and booking process through to the actual stay. 1st class service

Me and my girlfriend wanted to go to the Spa F1 Grand Prix in August and struggled to get a hotel near the circuit. So we looked at these holiday cottages advertised in Ardennes Etapes to see if anything was available. To our luck we found a small cottage just outside Stavelot, approx one hour walk from the circuit…..result…..or so we thought! We looked through every word of the advert to find the address but it stated the exact address is only given on full payment, the advert only said it was 5km away from stavelot. Anyway to avoid losing the cottage for the time needed we booked and paid the full amount , the address was then given which listed the cottage in Beaumont , miles away to the south east, no where near Stavelot. In fact it was even further away from Spa – 13km- making it impossible to walk there. We immediatley emailed Ardennes Etape to inform them of the issue and that we wanted a refund to find some where else. This is where the troubles began, their customer services rep , stated their advert was not misleading (it was) and the location was clear (it wasn't). after numerous emails they did offer us a refund BUT with a 30% admin charge , which was clearly stated on the terms and conditions. So we lost around 拢100 for an unclear advert- imagine some one advertising something in the UK and it's not quite right, it's misleading I may even go as far to call it a scam when they take 拢100 of my money and refuse to give it back. Further emails got nowhere with their customer services – they were very stubborn and rude with her responses stating that that we should have taken time to read the advert, they even included screen shots of the advert in their response, where they had circled key words within , in the most demeaning way, to try and defend themselves. Our point was simple- the moment we found the address was not as we thought following payment, we raised it to their attention and they did nothing. Or maybe this was their intention to get some revenue from a cottage in the middle of nowhere. Now we're not going to Belgium, were not going to Spa F1 and by the looks of things were not going to see that 拢100 they swindled from us again. 100% miserable from using and booking through Ardennes Etape….avoid this company at all costs!

We booked a week at a self-catered gite-type place in the Belgian Ardennes, near Spa, in August 2013. Ardennes-Etape offered a good selection of places; booking was straightforward; we could communicate in English; and the value was good too. An added bonus was the book of discounts that we received on arrival – we used a number of them to visit places or do events, and were pleased with the savings. The only tricky bit was making sure we had our BIK/Iban bank numbers, as they are not data we normally use in the UK. And having to pay a damage deposit in cash on arrival, plus having to wait until several days after we returned for electronic refund of it, was a faff. But overall we were very pleased.
