Simple and fast collection of the car. Car was clean and in very good condition. Had no issues whatsoever, would always rent again with them.

Pros: nice car, relatively new, in good shape, very friendly staff, very efficient & fast processing, no attempts to sell needless insurance policies
Cons: car dirty on the outside. Tank only half full (didn't notice until after I was 10km away from the station)

Very disappointed. Very unprofessional and unpleasant to deal with. New Zealand car rental company demanded car back 9 days earlier (because of Covid 19) and promised a refund of the unused days. Aurum Cars refuses to honour that promise. Huge hassle and no refund!

We have booked 3 weeks a car by greenmotion -with Aurum Cars- at kefalonia -see my recension on trustpilot- and a lot of trouble with them; because the main driver was not the credit card owner and we have no PIN for our credit card. Finally we got no car from them, but aurum cars was very helpful, they suggest to greenmotion to change the voucher into another main driver, but greenmotion in Kefalonia with Daisy -store mangerin- was so stubborn, unbelievable. Aurum Cars are very kind, gonna try everything to help us to got the car. At least Aurum Cars asked for a margin, than we get our money back in 24h!!! So; Thanks a lot!!!

Budget desk on Palma de Mallorca airport charged me 62 Euro more than what has been agreed by a contract /voucher with Aurum Cars (booked via check24.de). No reply from Aurum Cars, except for automatic mail reply.

How it happened: I booked a car – fiat 500 – for 74 Euro online via check24.de. The agreement /voucher said, it was the total price (it even said "no hidden costs"!), except for the deposit of 1200 Euro which will be returned if the car is okay when returned back. The rental company was Aurum Cars (Munich, Germany) but since they have no rental desk on Mallorca Airport, I would have to pick the car up at Budget/Avis desk. So I did. The employee at the desk tried:
1. To sell me a car upgrade – I said I didn't want it.
2. To sell me an additional insurance – I refused again.
I also said I don't want any of additional extras, I just wanted the car I booked online, and nothing more or less. After a long time, I had to leave my credit card details, and he gave me the keys. This was on 4. July 2018 in the evening. I unfortunatelly have no name of the desk employee at that evening, but Budget/Avis will know for sure who it was…

After 4 days I returned the car to the airport and asked the person who took it over if everything was fine and if there is any extra money that I wou枚d have to pay afterwards. However, since everything was ok, the fuel tank full, no car damages, he said that everything is just fine. So I signed again and left and was happy that it worked fine.

BUT!!! After approx. 4 days I got an extra letter directly from Budget/Avis (not from Aurum Cars with whom I had the car rental contract) – it said that they charged my credit card with extra 62 Euros! For nothing, it just said "service fee"!?
Can just any company who happens to have my credit card number charge the money from my credit card??

It was in beginning of July 2018… THREE MONTHS AGO… Since then, I was trying to get any information about it, and my money back. I wrote to all parties – to check24.de, to Aurum Cars and of course to Budget/Avis. And to my credit card bank (Hanseatic Bank – I can not recommend them either, they were of no help). Nothing happend for 2,5 months, all inquiries were in vain. Aurum Cars never ever wrote back… I only got automatic replies that said that it is being worked on, andthey received my e-mail, blah blah blah….
Than I decided to involve the german Verbraucherschutz (state consumer protection center) and to write a review on Trustpilot. Only three days after, check.24 wrote me an e-mail which was not just an automatic reply! Wow… They promised to re-charge me the 62 Euro, because they also still did not get the answer and clearance from Aurum Cars nor Budget/Avis.
Conclusion: never ever check24 again, never ever Aurum Cars. My nervs are not that strong… and I have better things to do than trying to get my OWN money back! For months!

The budget/Avis employee on the Palma airport was very unprofessional. Not to mention Aurum Cars. From them I never received any answer, no positining, no explanation. I really do hope for all of them that this is not the way they make business and the money for living.

Is Aurumcars legit or scam? Can I trust Aurumcars?
