I've been waiting since August to get my refund. Once October hit I contracted them and informed them I still had nothing. They informed me that the was a problem with there system and they would get it fixed and get it send out. So I waited again, January hit and I contacted them again to be in former it was sent out and it was cashed. I never received it and they just dragged me along for the ride..

I have a balance on the card, went to their redemption center and submitted the necessary information for a refund on 3 separate occasions over the past 15 months with no results. I have filed a complaint with the BBB but am not confident that this will go anywhere.

We had an expensive two-night reservation in Pahoa, Hawaii. Due to a governor's order to limit spread of COVID-19, it became impossible for any visitors to go through with their travel plans in Hawaii. On all other reservations the we had, we were treated very fairly. BedandBreakfast.com, however, shut down their main phone line (we called multiple times over several days, and they always said "technical difficulties"). It was impossible to even discuss rescheduling or getting a partial or complete refund. Their whole focus seems to have been to keep the money, even though their innkeeper could not have accommodated us even if we could have shown up–the whole island was shut down. We'll never reserve through them again.

We made an expensive (over $500) reservation on this site. They immediately charged our credit card. We ended up canceling the reservation well in advance of their cancellation policy date and they have never refunded our money, although they acknowledged the cancellation by email. They now claim it's not their responsibility and that we have to pursue this directly with the hotel in Spain, even though the transaction was with them. BE WARNED!

BedAndBreakfast.com site claims they still accept gift cards yet offer no help or access to these properties and online filter/sorts show no properties accept previously purchased gift cards.

I am apparently one of many that has been scammed by their gift cards. I have tried for over a year now… the phone number goes to a message that hangs up on you and the area on their site does not really accept or enter in any gift card certificate and order numbers. I have complained to the better business bureau and would like to see if there is a way we, the scammed can start a class action law suit. Even getting some funding back is better than nothing and this company needs to go out of business.

I HAVE HAD NO SUCCESS IN BOOKING A RESERVATION WITH MY GIFT CARD FROM BEDANDBREAKFAST.COM I never found a site that listed on their webpage that would actually accept the gift card!!!
And now, the company will no longer accept any gift cards towards any properties, and, after they put you through the wringer to submit your card for refund, the only way to get a refund is to provide all my confidential bank information. I have been bounced around from BandB.com, Expedia.com and no, Home Away, Inc.

Naturally, I'd be crazy to give such a dubious outfit such info. I finally called HomeAway as I have an email from BandB stating unequivocally that my certificate (gift card) has been approved for refund, Home Away finds " nothing in their system.." They now want me to call Expedia (for the 3rd time), but neither party knows the other and can't help.

I'm so disgusted and feel helpless. I am currently put on hold again (for now about 15 minutes!!) in some black hole that the last person I spoke to forwarded me to. THis is all a scam as they simply bounce you around until you are utterly disgusted. I feel terrible for my friends who gave me this 'gift'.

Booked a night with Acker Vacation Homes and Suites in Kelowna, BC via BedandBreakfast website. Some of the descriptions of the place are: panoramic room, lake views, and free parking among other lovely things.

– was a small room with a king bed and that's about it. Hardly any room to move on other sides of the bed
– was a lake view but it is from a top a hill over 10 kms away
– parking is free, if you park on the street in front of the house
– supposed to be "bed and breakfast" but there is no breakfast. In fact, your small room is locked from the other side and you have no access to anything or anywhere else in the house.
– zero service on site to help with anything including checking out
– no where on the site tells you the rate is in USD to CDN. The only indication is a note the say $100 CDN deposit is required. With that information and that the location is in Canada one would think that the rate is in Canadian dollars. So I booked the room for $133 (after taxes and fee) for 1 night, and immediately my credit card company notified me a charge of $178 being made. Right away, I contacted Arcker about the situation and wish to cancel. After explaining to the site manager, Mark, he told me no problem but I need to contact BedandBreakfast. But when I called bedandbreakfast I was told that Arcker need to approve the cancellation for it to happen. To make the story short, Archer refused to cancel my reservation and will charge me $178 regardless or me staying the night or not.
(To be fair, the bnb man on the other side was very understanding and tried to be helpful.)

Would not use either BedandBreakfast or Acker services again. Very dishonest.

This place was terrible. The house was very old. It was given rave reviews but certainly did not live up to the reviews. The room was small, the tv didn't work, it was far from town. Construction was going on in the kitchen when we arrived and the B and B smelled from the construction. The price of the room was way too high for the area $200 per night. Don't stay here unless you want a bad experience. There are many hotels in town that are less expensive and much nicer.

I own the Inn at St James Ct in Louisville. Three guests who reserved rooms in my Inn did so when this .com was in business. BandB.com, headquartered in Austin, TX, took their money then went out of business. They don鈥檛 respond to calls, emails or certified letters. I have not been paid for guests Krista Sorensen, Heather Lindsay or Patricia Dekok.

As a B&B owner, I used to love this website and received lots of guests until Jun 7, 2018, when Expedia listed all the B&Bs on the Big Island of Hawaii as "sold out" for years to come. They said they were putting us on a new platform, but they really just wanted us to go away and not be competition for THEM. We have never recovered. Expedia buys up chunks of rooms in large hotel chains and sells them! B&Bs are just in their way. Now, they won't talk to you unless you have more than 10 rooms. They now dominate 70% of the marketplace and have TERRIBLE business practices, even listing B&Bs that don't want to be listed, only to steal their customers by answering the phone. Class action lawsuit against Expedia by Innkeepers in California. More to come!

We booked a beach cottage with this site for our vacation and I received an email stating the reservation was confirmed. Five days later I received another email stating the reservation was cancelled by the Innkeeper because of various reasons, but it could be because our credit card info was not correct (this was untrue). I contacted the Innkeeper directly and they stated not only are they not affiliated with BedandBreakfast.com but they do not rent out for the amount of days we required. They also lie and say they are not charging you at this time when in fact they put a hold on your account for the full amount. Even after THEY sent the email stating the reservation was cancelled I had to fight to get my money back. AVOID THIS SITE AT ALL COSTS!

I have $300 in Bed and Breakfast gift cards, and unless I'm using their site incorrectly, there's not a single bed and breakfast in CA that accepts the gift cards. What??? Inns that take the gift cards are very far and few between on their site–makes getting the "deal" of a gift card an instant rip off instead. Don't buy the gift cards!

I booked a B&B using this site and here's what happened. I found a place I liked and booked it or so I thought. Of course I was immediately charged to my CC. Then the B&B owner called me and explained that in fact the room was not available, they were totally booked up. She didn't know why the calendar was not working as it should. The B&B owner called customer service and told me I'd be receiving a full refund. I asked her to send me an email explaining the refund and she did. After a few days no refund appeared on my CC. I tried contacting the web site 2x and was on hold for over 20 minutes each time, no one ever answered. All I heard was music, no estimate of wait time. So I had to contest the CC charge with the CC company. While I expect a full refund via the CC company it is still pending.
BedandBreakfast.com: service=0, competence=0, NPS=0, customer experience=0
Never again.

Since this company became part of the Expedia Partners, their accounting and customer service has gone down hill. We've used them as our channel manager and middleman between our lodging facilities and the Expedia family booking sites for over 15 years. The last year we've had late payments, missed payments, rude customer service reps, failed reservations, double bookings, and limited availability. We also use their proprietary PMS (Rezovations) which they control, so if there are last minute cancellations outside of their 9-5 workday, the room doesn't show available for a new reservation impacting our revenue. Sad.

My Wife made a reservation through this website (BIG MISTAKE)
They charged the credit card in full immediately.
They never responded to any calls from myself, my wife, or the hotel.
I cancelled through my credit card company – but now this site is alleging they provided services which they DID NOT PROVIDE (we had to stay elsewhere as the hotel was fully booked).
This site now also claims that the users have to cancel before x date at 7pm (but my wife made the reservation after 7pm that day!!!).
AGAIN:
NEVER EVER USE THIS SITE

Since Expedia has taken over bedandbreakfast.com it has been nothing but a cluster of mess ups. Another Online travel Agency takeover that really was great for innkeepers some time ago. Incorrect reservations, reservations that were not received, and than to top it off they did not want to take blame for it!!

Horrible functionality. Outrageous commission 15-18%. Poor if at all available customer service. They do not take responsibility for double bookings or other errors. When trying to cancel a booking made months in advance, they tell me to contact guest. Well I did, emailed them. They claim they never got email and discovered 1 week prior when checking in about their arrival. B&B.com off course charged me their commission. That I have to report to them when a guest has checked in in order to get my money is the worst ! Are they trying to keep it if I forget ? Lousy horrible company. Will discontinue using them soon. Stay away !!!

We are innkeepers who have been listed with bed and breakfast.com for prob 15 years. Their new business model of only allowing you to list your B&B if you book through them -so they can take a whopping 18 % – is outrageous. I am not the only B&B jumping ship. Whoever thought this a good and fair idea for the innkeepers is incredibly mistaken. Makes me so angry when companies change things in favor of them making the most money possible and dont care about how it impacts longstanding customers ….and we are in the hospitality business. How ironic.

Using their reservations manager is a nightmare! They transferred a reservation for a guest that booked 3 nights but came to the b&b as 2. They are impossible to get a customer rep 2. It turns into a dispute for the guest and they do not claim it was there error! Basically useless all around after 11 years using them.
