After switching back to my old provider (TPG), I realise how poor both the internet quality and the customer service (non existent) for Belong really was.
When I was with Belong my internet was cutting out almost daily, sometimes several times a day.
They don't have a call centre which means you have to log a job and wait for them to call you. They ask you to provide a suitable time to call and they always fail to call. Happened to me many many times. You then have to go to work or go out and then they decide to call maybe 5 hours late.
When you finally get a hold of a human, they have TERRIBLE english and sound like they have no idea how to fix it so they just get you to reset the modem many many times. They also ask you things like "Is the power to the modem turned on at the powerpoint" after clearly explaining to them that the power light is on, but the internet and wifi light is off. So how can the power light be on if the modem is not plugged in at the wall, genius?
If I could give these clowns minus 5 stars I would.

No call centre means no reliable support, and they can鈥檛 work out what鈥檚 wrong with my service.
Going elsewhere. It鈥檚 been a nightmare, as I teach online from home, and have lost hundreds of dollars in income, hotspotting from my phone while I teach 20-25hrs a week on Zoom.

Now that people are working from home, we're relying on the internet more than ever. I've now had to go two days without work (so two days without pay) because our issue isn't being resolved. If you need a reliable ISP with ACTUAL customer service then skip right past Belong! We called another provider and not only did they try to troubleshoot our BELONG issue, they offered us a much better deal and also assured me that they actually VALUE their customers. Their call centre (that's right, the other company will actually talk to you on the phone!) takes calls between 8am – 12pm and they aim to respond to emails as quickly as possible – none of this "it could take up to two days for a response" rubbish.
You definitely WON'T be in the right hands if you choose Belong as your ISP so please, don't do it. There are much better providers out there – ones that actually service their customers instead of ignoring them for hours on end! This company isn't worth the stress.

If you want a service with technical capability; & NO way to speak to anyone, these might be your guys.

I tried to contact them to confirm this a few days before the move, and learnt that they now only offer 'Digital Support' – which essentially means you won't get a response for at least 24 hours, and it's impossible to reach anyone on the phone. There is a chance they'll call you back, but if you miss the call you have to start the whole loop again and wait another 24 hours.
I moved into my flat on the Friday. The connection had not been moved across. I eventually reached someone on Twitter (no phone support, remember?) who told me that I would need an FTTC box, and that it would be dispatched on my move date. It can take up to 5-7 days to arrive, so I'm not sure why this was not sent ahead of time, apparently they send it on your move date? Which makes no sense.
Anyway, knowing that I couldn't wait 5-7 days for internet to do my job, I asked if there were any other solutions. The Twitter guy told me to try and track down another FTTC NBN box and it should work. I paid $50 to get one on Facebook Marketplace, to then be told by another Belong employee that I'd have to wait for the box they had sent to arrive.
Good news! I got a text to say the FTTC box had arrived on the Tuesday (5 days after move date). Oh wait, it had been sent to my old address. Managed to get into the building to retrieve it. Did it work? Of course not.
Belong then told me if it didn't connect after 12 hours they would send someone from NBN out to check my service. NBN could come next business day, they said. 12 hours passed, no connection. They said they'd book me in an NBN engineer. The next appointment was a week away the following Tuesday. Great. They recommended I book a private cabling technician 鈥?I did, at my own expense 鈥?he couldn't find an issue.
On the Thursday a second FTTC box was inexplicably delivered to my old address, and Belong's Twitter support sent me a smiley and recommended I use it as a 'door stop', which seems incredibly wasteful – meanwhile I've burnt through 60gb of data and over $100 tethering my phone data so I can work.
It's now Thursday night, a week after my move, and I'm facing another 5 days before NBN can come out. It's also 25 days since I told them I was moving.
I understand it's hard for businesses to operate due to COVID, but my employer has a full team of 20+ support staff working as normal on the phones from there. The technology is there. Sort it out.
And stop sending chummy emojis when you're unable to offer even basic support. Luckily I'm on a month to month contract, so I can easily move away from these jokers.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Belong is worst Internet provider I have used.

Yes, Belong's plans are cheaper than the others by a few dollars per month but let me promise you this: You will wish you were paying that extra $5 or $10 if ANYTHING goes wrong and you need to assistance. Think I am wrong? Try ring belong right now.. you can't! Unless they have changed things back, they have recently removed their help number so if you want help for ANYTHING AT ALL you have to lodge a support ticket via email and just wait for them to call you… I guess they will decide how urgent it is for themselves.
I lodged the simplest of requests and I did not hear back for 3 business days, then the poor lad who called me couldn't even help. To rub salt in my wounds he could not put me onto someone who could but had to lodge ANOTHER TICKET.
When you're in that situation, $5.00 is a very small cost to pay to just call up and talk to someone who can actually do something. Learn from my experience: go with pretty much any other provider.

These guys are a scam. Do not waste your time.

Iv tried to receive help over a span of 3 weeks and only got back to after the 3 weeks.
My duplex neighbors were also with belong
They got a technician out to connect their internet which resulted in our internet line being disconnected and their internet line being connected to our active internet line
It cost 180$ out of my own pocket to figure that out
And 70$ for a month of internet for 3 weeks of no internet
Their call centres are also not receiving calls due to covid 19 so noone to contact until they contact you

Took over 3 weeks of repeated requests and follow ups to get the nbn connected. Each time I called no one knew what was going on and they had no record of my previous calls or requests. The nbn itself was no better than my previous adsl. I had to move house as the house I was renting was sold. To reconnect to my new address they wanted to start my 12 month contract again so they could get more money out of me and keep me locked in longer. No mention was ever made to this effect when I joined as I did mention I would eventually be moving when my new house was built. DONT USE BELONG TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE what even exists of it, you can't speak to anyone and it took forever for someone to email me back took 6 requests for a call back before they emailed me. I gave them 1 star because I couldn't give them less. I could go on but I'm sure people get the drift by now DONT USE BELONG

After troubleshooting the issues for a day and a half over chat and phone, I was told that it had been disconnected because I was to move to NBN. There was no warning this would happen, and no communication to say that I should move to NBN.
Frustrated because I work from home, I asked if the ADSL service could be resumed while the NBN install is processed, but was told this is not possible.
I started the NBN sign up process with the person I was transferred to and was told I would receive an update in 24 to 48 hours. I would hear that a lot over the coming weeks, as I would never be contacted by Belong and would frequently be told the same script when I called in to follow up. I called every 2 days, and without fail be told the same thing. I would be refused when asking to speak to anyone more senior, and one person did break script to recommend that I go to another provider, as I was not the only person having the same problem and some people had been waiting longer than 3 months.
I contacted Aussie Broadband on March 30 and my NBN install was scheduled 27 minutes later.
What Belong could not do in 21 days, Aussie Broadband had done in 27 minutes.
To add insult to injury, Belong had taken payment for my service just before cancelling it, I have been asking for a refund since my first call, at the time of writing this, May 21, I have been assured that I will receive my refund in 7 to 10 business days.

I have spent over a month trying to deal with them. They have made continual mistakes such as sending technicians to the wrong address, sending me products I do not need and then requesting I send them back, not following up with questions and complaints. They assured me they would pay the excess data on my phone and now refuse to pay it and now won鈥檛 answer my emails. THE WORST!!!
