This is an incredible SCAM and you should avoid at all costs. Here's my experience:

I submitted an enquiry through the web portal (website looks completely credible). Got an email from Graham – a charming chap, who seems genuinely knowledgable about the products/industry. Now here's the incredible part…he spent 3 months going back and forth with me to get my spec right for 2 exterior oak doors. He even challenged the spec on my architect drawings!!! I can't believe that this isn't a genuine site etc due to the work he put in on this – if he was a sales guy in a legit business, he would do a good job. Why resort to fraud?

Anyway, when it came to paying he asked for a bank transfer – said they didn't take cards as they wanted to avoid passing credit card fees onto customers. He wanted a deposit of 拢500. And by the way, this was a week before Christmas. On the phone, I heard the sound of a rip saw in the background – I thought this was odd in that it sounded setup to make the whole thing more credible.

Anyway, the payment method meant I googled the place and found the other reviews on TP.

I texted Graham calling him out on it and never heard from him again.

Hopefully a jail sentence is just around the corner for this cretin.

I was looking for a bespoke external solid oak door for our cottage home and came across the website of bespoke oak doors , which looks very professional and has amazing antique style doors. I have contacted the company via email for a quote, using the email provided on the website . Next day I have had a reply on my email by Graham Wright, informing me the door is on offer from the initial 拢1260 to 拢580, which obviously got me very excited and thinking I need to speed up the order. The next days however I have been extremely busy so i did not manage to answer to him, so he called me about 4 times a day! I finally managed to answer the call and spoke to Graham, who came across as very friendly and professional, knowledgeable. Answered all questions and really put my mind at rest. It took another 2-3 days for us to decide what door furniture we want, etc. During this time Graham was calling me again a few times a day, including in the weekend very early in the morning and emailed all the time insisting on placing the order as the offer would end this week as is on high demand. I asked for a final quote with our final details and he came back with an email listing all the parts and price for each, bringing the door to a total of 拢1140 from the initial 拢580 (charging loads of extra money for the small bits like hinges, letter box & tidy, 1 door knocker, lock, finishing it in oil dip, delivery) and asking me to send the money on his HSBC account. At this point I really started to ask myself why a reputable company would not provide an official quote and invoice, with the company's details and would ask me to send all this money to a random account. So I told him I cannot make a payment without seeing an official invoice and at the same time I started to research about the company. It turns out the company doesn't exist and many other people have been scammed like this and paid loads of money but he did not deliver the product and stopped any kind of communication!! I was in shock and so relieved I did not make the payment! it is outrageous that his company still exists and he is allowed to do this. Please stop him from disappointing and ripping off more people.

Thank you!

Trustpilot doesn't allow adding email address, but if you got to Sitejabber website and search for Bespoke oak Doors – you'll find me there, as well as plenty more of angry customers. Thank you!

Like other reviewers my experience of this company is one of exceptionally poor customer service & minimal communication. I have received my doors over two months after the agreed delivery date & the frame supplied is faulty. I have attempted to communicate with the company, but the phone goes to answer phone and messages are not responded too
– the same can be said for my e-mails.

Unfortunately the same as most people have found. Everything seems great at first,Graham is a charming person and seemed knowledgeable. Then when he has your money (direct bank payments only) the communication stops, no emails or phone contact. For weeks I wasn't sure I would even receive anything. Received the door today – disgraceful. Wood is very poor quality, workmanship even worse. It is an embarrassment that this guy is still trading. Please avoid to save yourself stress and disappointment. I wish I had read the reviews first.

The business is a scam a one man scrupulous individual who sounds very genuine when you speak to him. Search for a company profile and or proper contact details you won't find any as they are non existent. The material and carpentry is the worst quality. You will never be able to get a reply when you complain; and you will! They have never had a show room as it is probably in a 3rd world country.

You pay up front and then they deliver a plank with knots in it which they call a door. They refuse to answer my calls or respond to e-mails.Going to take them to the small business court

I bought an oak door from this company. I wish I had read the reviews before I did so.The workmanship was dreadful, the Oak had cracks and knots and the iron mongery was rubbish. They do not answer calls or respond to e mails. Do not get taken in like I was with their cheap prices.

After searching for oak doors, I found Bespoke Oak Doors. Couldn't believe the value for money and then even more impressed with the quality. These Doors are by far the best on the market; this now the second round I've purchased for refurbishment projects – they are adding ten's of thousands of pounds to property valuations! Delivery spot on and a pleasure dealing with the company too.

I ordered an oak stable door from www.bespoke-oak-doors, also trading under www.bespokeperioddoors in Yorkshire. The web site talks about old fashioned craftsmanship, which attracted me. I also (erroneously as it turned out) thought their price was competitive. When I spoke to Graham, who seems to be in charge, I gained confidence as he sounded knowledgeable and reliable. So much so that I eventually, foolishly, agreed to their demand that I pay the full amount up front, before they would release the door for delivery to my house in the South of England. I was very surprised that the "door" they delivered basically consisted of 4 planks joined together. The hinges and door lock were not fitted. There was no rebate (overlap) between the bottom and top door, so the wind would whistle through the gap between the top and bottom door. They shipped the hinges and door handles separately, but did not include the locking mechanism. To have all this rectified and the door installed was going to cost me 拢 800. So much for being competitively priced!

Numerous E-mails and phone calls to discuss this simply went unanswered. As for the missing lock, at one point I was promised that it would be posted, but nothing came of that. Further phone calls and e-mails again simply went unanswered.

To top it all, on their website they boast about their traditional craftsmanship and that they use only the "finest English and French oak "that was "carefully chosen". Well, there was a crack in one of the "carefully selected " door planks. They filled the crack with what looks like Polyfilla, but they did not even bother to sand it down properly to hide the crack. (See the photo) They just applied a primer over the crack and shipped it off.

NOTE: I sent them this review below before I posted it, asking them if any of it was not true. Their response was to post the false 5 star review by john p.

Do not get taken in by the old-school charm as I was. They just want your money and after that you can go to the devil. This company takes absolutely no pride in their craftsmanship. They have no compunction to send you a shoddy, incomplete door. There are reputable companies out there that deliver what they promise, check out their reviews and make sure you order your door from them.

The doors were months over due in supply. The delivery was quoted as being included in the price – in the end after lengthy delays we had to pay a courier to collect – we were never reinbursed – took them to small claims and had no luck with that either. It is hard to speak to anyone in the company that can do anything – mainly answer phone – calls not returned. The timber selection in the doors is very poor and despite many coats of oil – large cracks from poorly selected timber or knot holes filled with large amounts of resin have quickly become a problem. I can see through the doors where there should be wood! Don't bother trying to complain about this company or taking them to court – they are poor craftsmen and a shoddy business who little care for their product or their customers.

They like you to pay up front and then fail to deliver your doors months after the dead line has passed. In the end we had to organise a courier to collect them for us so we paid for delivery twice. I took them to small claims court but they just ignored all that in the same way as they ignore their telephone, answer phone and emails. The doors are of poor quality and the timber has not been properly selected for its use. Knots and shakes that were filled with resin have all opened up so that you can see daylight through an exterior door. Sap wood has been included that should have been selected against. The doors have little strength for their size and have started to drop and warp. I will have to reinforce them myself. The ironmongery supplied with the dooirs is not sufficient for their size. The list of issues we have with these very expensive doors is long. Stay clear of this lot. They are poor craftsmen but worse at business and customer service than you could possibly imagine.

Months of delays. Their fitter didnt turn up. A long list of issues, mistakes and omissions from the job still unresolved and a complete inability to contact them. Legal action will begin. A truly horrible experience still ongoing.

Wish we had seen Victoria鈥檚 complaint first…we had exactly the same complaints – they offered the wrong glass – single glazed – but we insisted on double-glazed to meet regulations. The panes are undersized based on their own dimensions and the fitting is poor. (By their guy). The beading is split and too small to hide the glass edges.
What a shame they could be a great company but there after sales service lets them down badly

I bought a pair of French doors costing nearly 2,300 with delivery.
They arrived with the wrong glass, so do not meet building regulations and one of glass doors was smashed.
Over 9 weeks later, they will respond regarding this and have not offered to replace, or refund,
They won't even return calls – stay away.
