Bicycle Land South Woodford: Caveat Emptor!

I purchased a xiaomi Z20 for 769.99 which arrIved in box bashed by dpd.
One unimportant plastic bike part split and "minute"unimportant odd transport marks on frame I discounted!
I tested bike 4 miles approximately on one dry evening test drive. The bike was a folding bike 24 kg and far too heavy. The company agreed to give me a refund minus delivery costs if I purchased a lighter more expensive model. I said yes then decided no! within 7 days. I said I would purchase a cheaper model from Bicycle Land.
I had to rebox and repack damaged packaging taking 3 hours but did not bother to polish bike.
The company now phonily claims they have to replace tyres,shimano gears and mileage computer etc.just after a 4 mile test drive! So they intend to deduct 拢289.99 from 拢769.99 giving me a refund of 拢479.99. That is 拢300 they are deducting! I think that is sour grapes and unreasonable. A deduction of 拢150 might be considered reasonable to cover delivery costs and polish up but after 4 miles this bike does not need new tyres, computer and shimano gears. This is rubbish! I had to completely re box this bike due to dpd delivering bike in a bashed ripped up box. It appears the company bicycleland has put the bike under a magnifying glass to see what charges they can screw out of me. I will ONLY deal with Amazon in future as you get an A-Z guarantee. I thought a UK company would be better than ordering from China but I was wrong! They are dictatorial and penny pinching it would appear when no more profit is on the horizon. I did say I would buy a cheaper model from them which would mean handing over some more money but they weren't interested. They claim they have already refunded 479.99 out of the 769.99 but it hasn't shown in my account after contacting credit card company to check this.
Not happy with this UK bicycle company. I am not going to roll over and will keep you posted. BICYCLE Land BEWARE.
