Wish I had have done a review before I signed up!
Bid at auction for $12, winner purchased ipod for $7.09, how does the winner purchase something for a lesser bid than mine??
I agree with other reviews, it has to be a scam. Disapointing.

I, too, am amazed PayPal has any association with this site. A rip off in the truest sense. Looks legit but doesn't take long to realize you've been had and they have your money. Should be taken off the internet … surely there must be some guidelines for such fake schemes. Disgraceful! It's sites like this that give the internet a bad name and I'm shocked PayPal has associated themselves with this disgraceful scheme. Thought I was safe because PayPal was the preferred means of payment … what a joke. Now have doubts how secure PayPal is. Scary stuff!

Searching google for an Ipad for my grand daughters whom I have full time care off, whom one of them has severe learning difficulties. The physcologist recommended getting one of these to aid in her learning problems. After searching I found this site & saw how cheap it was. I signed up & purchased some points & starting bidding. After buying $220 worth of points & using them all to win this bid (but gave up) I soon realized that people can just keep on coming in & bidding over you for only a few points. I closed my account asap & shed a tear for allowing myself to be so ripped off. Certainly doesn't pay to try & purchase products cheaply over the internet. My advise is to totally stay away from this site. Something should be done about it.

Here's a novel idea. Take a $100.00 note and throw it in the toilet and flush it. That's what's going to happen with your money if, like me, you are fool enough to be sucked into joining this online auction site. It is very cleverly constructed. Give them a wad of money to "buy" points to join an auction on a particular item. When you bid the price goes up by 2 cents then someone can outbid you. BUT HERE'S THE CATCH! WHILST YOU HAVE ADDED 2 CENTS TO THE BID PRICE OF THE ITEM, THEY HAVE TAKEN AROUND 87 CENTS FROM THE MONEY YOU ORIGINALLY BOUGHT YOUR POINTS WITH. THEN, IF LIKE ME YOU WERE FOOL ENOUGH TO USE A ROBOT TO BID ON YOUR BEHALF AS YOU WOULD ON EBAY, YOUR MONEY WILL DISAPPEAR IN NO TIME AT ALL. It is all there in the FAQ's but most people won't read it all until their money is all gone. STICK TO EBAY WHERE YOU ONLY PAY IF YOU WIN, BECAUSE BIDFUN WILL ROB YOU EVEN IF YOU DON'T WIN! This web site plays on human greed. We all join because we see the flashing lights and the cheap prices on the auction items.

Like the others who were ripped off by this site..meeee toooo. I went for it since PayPal was associated with Bidfun for payment. It took me about 15 minutes to realize I'd been duped. I wish i had read this site before giving them my 50 bucks. It wasn't until I tried to opt out and saw that they don't refund that I realized this site is a total scam. As someone else stated, you don't even really know if these items are real. I personally think PayPal should disassociate themselves from this rippoff scam. Shame on them…I to am trying to get my money back.

Do what I did and seek a refund from PayPal. They have not obliged (YET!) but sent me the follwing reply:

"PayPal does not tolerate fraud or illegal activities. Your complaint has
been noted in the record of the PayPal member you reported. If we find this
member has violated our policies, we will investigate and take appropriate
action. If this occurs, you may be contacted in the future about the status
of this complaint."

Beware of this site! It is not a proper auction but more like gambling on a poker machine. You are initially attracted to low prices for the "auctioned" products but unlike eBay, you have to PAY for the privilege to place a "bid" ,read "bet". Each bet costs around $1.00 but IF you bid then the closing time is advanced by 20 seconds. About 30 to 1 seconds before the closing time for the bet, you will see lots of bets coming in. I eventually noticed that there were a lot of constant <same> users on each individual item and it was obvious that the bidding was being advanced by "companies" attempting to raise the price. I found it impossible to win a bid because your bid at 1 second remaining time reset the time by an extra 20 seconds, giving time for the "companies" to add another bid adding HOURS more to the stated closing time. I had read all the literature and FAQs before starting the bidding process. Companies such as "$#*! Smith" were mentioned as being sellers so I thought it safe to try. Unfortunately, I spent $140 in "credits" before giving up on bidding for a product which had a retail price of $300. If you take the amount of credits at $1 each that must have been placed by individuals rather than companies, it was obvious that the product sold for well over $300 when those credits were given to the seller.
For me, it felt like I had put $140 into a poker machine which rarely paid a prize and as I'm not a gambler, I felt I had been duped. I cannot imagine that this is a legal process in Australia and shall be reporting it to the appropriate authority.
If "$#*! Smith" DOES support this "auction" scam then they should be castigated publicly. I'm sure that $#*!, himself would be horrified to see the practice!

This is a rip off site…I satayed up until midnight on an auction that was meant to finish at 5.30pm! By the time it was finishing I had used all my credits before I realized that had I one I would of had to pay for the item on top of my bids! An absolute scam…not only that when you try and ask a question they do not reply…at all!
