The business model is one where to receive the advertised prices on services your credit card is debited monthly. Unfortunately there are no contingencies if "life happens". In my case it was multiple surgical procedures to the spine over the course of more than a year. Initially the monthly debit was not put on hold or cancelled even though the services were potentially detrimental due to my physical condition and therefore not used. That left me with a balance which I was never allowed to use. Later I was contacted by the company to use up the money on my balance and received services. After the services were provided I was told there was no balance and that I was going to be charged for a non-member rate. When I confronted the front desk staff they called the owner who was off-site. The front desk staff had to relay a message to the owner or manager who would not speak to me directly to handle the grievance. Although the service provided was positive, the final experience was negative and upsetting. I do not recommend using this business and will never myself again.

BIENESTAR is a grass-roots, non-profit community-based service organization established in 1989.

BIENESTAR is a unique non-profit social service organization dedicated to positively impacting the health and well-being of the Latino community and other underserved communities in Southern California.

Founded in 1989, the organization uses an innovative and compassionate peer-to-peer model that is 100% culturally relevant to its constituents. Clients are met with understanding and acceptance that builds trust and fosters a unique sense of family.

There are nine Southern California community centers strategically located in Los Angeles, Riverside and San Bernardino counties to reach the Latino population and link them to health and social services agencies.

BIENESTAR鈥檚 Outreach Teams are deployed to clubs, colleges, parks and other locales where the target population congregates within the community.

BIENESTAR is an expert voice on emerging health issues. Key to its success is health education and awareness regarding HIV/AIDS, substance abuse and drug prevention. It primarily targets the Latino gay, lesbian, bi-sexual and transgender segments of the community.

BIENESTAR鈥檚 approach empowers its' clients to improve their physical and mental health and become productive members of society.

BIENESTAR advocates for human rights and social justice on a local, statewide and national level and serves the community at large by shedding light on emerging Latino issues and engaging with political and social service leaders. It empowers clients to participate through community mobilization and to become 鈥渁gents of change鈥? thereby building awareness of critical issues, policies and legislation that require political action and funding.

May I also add that they have various public events such as their three (3) annual BBQ's per year such as the one that I just attended at Griffith Park back on Sunday, September 2, 2016 and it was Fun!!!
