I鈥檓 not usually one to sit down and write reviews but I felt like I needed to this time.

My partner an I are regulars at Big Easy in Chelsea, before the lockdown we used to go at least a couple times a week. We love the food and the vibe.

Since the lockdown has lifted we have been 5/6 times and more than half of the times have been disappointing, our orders have came delayed and incorrectly.

But when I spoke to Gianluca about my experiences he went out of his way to invite my family and I back. If it wasn鈥檛 for his kind manner I wouldn鈥檛 of returned. But I鈥檓 glad i did!

On our return, Gianluca hosted our visit and I cannot express how greatful I am to have met him, the service was amazing. The best service I have experienced.
I cannot put into words how happy we were, I will continue to come just to see Gianluca.

The big easy team are very lucky to have him on board.

This restaurant looks amazing but is a big disappointment. Terrible service, we were left there to wait for an hour for our food and at end we just left without any update. An absolute waste of afternoon sitting on a table and waiting for an hour. Waitress nowhere to be found and looked like she had no idea how to do this job. One big wait for everything. Really one of the worst I have ever experienced.

Terrible service and poor food. Tried to book a table same day, was told I had to come back at the time I wanted the table and see if there was space as it was first come first served. The house beer was terrible. The food was very average. I was told by the rude hostess that seated me and my friend they would need the table back after 1.5 hours. After 1.15 we had finished our over cooked lobster and fatty rump steak. We were told we weren't allowed desserts and had to leave immediately, even though there were free tables. I hated the whole experience the staff were so rude. NEVER GOING BACK

Service is awful in Convent Garden. Big let down!

I've been 4times now and I won't be returning.

Party of 6 and we had to wait 40 minutes for our drinks…food was tasty.

Ended up cancelling our drinks order and left.

Really dissappointing considering how much we paid.

Myself and friends booked a table for Sunday just gone. We had booked the unlimited drinks and brunch. When we arrived after travelling from Kent we were told by the bouncer that we could not go in, he didn't give much of an explanation so we asked to see the manager. The manager came to the door and said the kitchen was closed, so we asked why we had just seen a delivery driver leaving with food. He then said the tills were down. We asked him what we were meant to do as we have just traveled up from Kent and he said we could try the Chelsea or the Canary Wharf branch, we asked if he could phone to check availability as we didn't want to pay and travel all that way only to get there and be told that there are no tables. He said no and that was it, no offer to help at all, no apology. Worst customer service ever, he really didn't care that our reservation was cancelled, they didn't even have the decency to let us know our table was cancelled even though they had our contact number because they had phoned twice the two previous days checking we were still able to make our booking. Honestly the worst customer service encountered and as a manager you would of thought he would have known better. Due to our table being booked for 3:30pm, we were unable to find anywhere else in Convent Garden for brunch. Completely ruined our day. We phoned the big easy office and was told we would get a voucher but we didn't. Again they were no help. Really really disappointing especially as we had all been looking forward to going here for a while

One good (4*) and one bad (1*)
GOOD ONE :
I am not sure, where all those bad reviews about bad service are coming from. It is very popular and therefore busy place, so you should consider booking a table in advance instead of complaining about waiting for an hour. We booked our table few days ago and got the confirmation on email and the the call on the day, checking if we re still coming. On the doors didn't wait even a minute, were showing to our table straight away. Everyone was extremely polite and friendly. Our waitress was very helpful and we didn't have to look for her, she was always around.

Food was delicious :

Crispy calamari as a starter
Lobster bake with white wine sauce
Lobster roll

Could ve become one of my favourite places, if not…

BAD ONE :
Even though booked table in advance and asked for a table with 'the view', didn't get it, the place where we were allocated wasn't so bad, but our special dinner could have been better.

Can't be the place for every night dinner (for a medium paid person), as for the food mentioned above and couple glasses of wine paid almost 拢90

And the worst – despite food being delicious and I liked every single bite of it, I got crazy SICK after we left the place and have been sick for the whole night. I recon, mussels, what are the part of the lobster bake meal are the reason.

I got very upset, as I really did like the place and the food and service, and because of this I can't give the good review, Big and Easy deserves

Myself and my other half were on a London Break from 05/02/15 to 06/02/15 in which we read articles about this place making it sound like THE place to be and for its amazing food and atmosphere. So we decided to go check it out on our last day in London for lunch.

We were sat down in an over crammed area with small tables with hardly any room to move I mean you could tap elbows with the person sitting on the table next to you. Besides that we ordered our starters which were out on time and were very nice and the both of us really enjoyed it.

However when we placed our order for our starters we also ordered our main which we assumed would follow a short while after we had finished our starters. Unfortunately we did not receive our main and people who had been seated after us had already tucked in to theirs! An hour later and after I had enquired several times we were told by the waitress serving us that the food had been sent out to the wrong table and that they will bring our food as soon as possible and then when we did receive our food it was cold as if it had been plated and left at the side and just forgotten about!

I found this extremely unacceptable and voiced this to our waitress who didn't really seem to care and was too busy serving other people, so I asked for the bill and thought I鈥檇 try and speak to someone at the front desk as they may be able to help. So after I paid the bill I spoke to a gentleman at the front of house who also did not seem to care one bit and just glared at me. At this time we were running late as we had to head back and catch our train on time, but I was deeply unsatisfied and disappointed and would rather go to a standard fast food outlet rather than the Bog Easy and would never recommend them to anyone either
