I received an email telling me I have been selected to be in a print shoot, offering me $1300 for the role, offering $400 up front, then I would have to "pay the designer" for my clothes and then a balance of $900 would be paid to me after.
The form was basic information, with a promise I'll receive a check, I "must" have a bank account to deposit (which sounded weird), and then the "we'll let you know where to go to work if chosen."
I was chosen too fast – I'd sent my resume and photos on a Friday evening, so being told on Saturday morning was just odd, most times it doesn't happen until during the week. Also odd was I was not told where they had gotten my name, usually they say "Linked In" or "Backstage" or "Casting Networks", etc.

I found this company on Model Mayhem via their "sponsored castings" listings. The ad was for a $1300 fashion photoshoot opportunity. I received a follow-up email that through up many red flags as I read it. I have attached a screenshot of the email below.

They used to go by Capitol World Productions. They are a fake production company who send fake checks and make you deposit them and they scam talent into fraudulent "booked" work. Used to go by Mark Wagstaff. It's the same website as before, just different names and same stolen pictures.

Is Bistlineproduction.com legit or scam? Can I trust Bistlineproduction.com?
