THey don't care about customer service if they can't make more money off you

I wish I鈥檇 just waited for the dupe to appear on cheap sites. It鈥檚 cool but definitely poor quality. The colours don鈥檛 look as bright, the fabric feels poor quality to the touch, and the design is printed on white fabric? I鈥檝e since learned that this allegedly is to make the pattern more vibrant, but as it鈥檚 so badly done the white shines through with the slightest stretch, and the stitching is so bad you can see the white thread at the seams. Definitely will not order from here again.
I somehow got away without being stung for the import charges which I think must be corona related.
Not giving 1* as I still really like the design and will still wear it.

Then it changed. And a whole brand new bandwagon of complete beeches rolled into town and pulled the rug out from all of us. We spent hundreds and sometimes thousands on BM designs because of the trusting return policy; if a 100.00 pair of amazing tights didn't fit–we could send back. We held this return policy sacred and never abused it. Then suddenly, while we were still trusting you and still buying and making our boyfriends buy us your stuff–you pulled a fast one. Many ladies ordered and got stuck with ill fitting clothing because you took your high end designs overseas to shonky third world countries. You wouldn't accept returns. Your customer service ladies were curt, short and unappreciative of our years of word of mouth business building we'd given. They did not care about the buckling seams or the ill fitting bathing suit or the tights that had a saggy bum but cost 120.00. They could not care less about how many angry original customers were crying foul. The original owner sold out or brought in marketing partners. The quality tanked. The sizes tanked. The materials became thin, cheap and even seams became visible. Some items ran small, others large, there was no measure to order accurately because quality control and sizing was in a foreign country. And yet the prices stayed the same. 100 tights, 150.00 dresses. The original customer base felt burned and insulted, because we knew we had built your brand and you left us when you no longer needed us. Like a bad boyfriend who uses one girl to get over another then ditches her when the first look alike comes along–BM, hate to say it but like a smarmy boyfriend we trusted–you suck. This is why there's hate in them there reviews down below–because it was just too damn personal for most of us. And now we refuse to spend our money on your site–even if we want to–just due to principle of how your new customer service babes treated us. Many of us hope you fail.
I know I personally never give out the name black milk anymore when people ask where I got my cool outfit. I will not build a brand that turned on your customer base as you did.
Yes the BM site still looks cool and you may be very tempted to do some late night purchasing of these one of a kind items but know this: the quality will not be what you expected. if you are an original bm customer, the quality wont be the same as all the other stuff in your closet. the fit will run smaller on some items and larger on others, and whatever doesn't work—you'll be out the hundreds of dollars you paid for it–because BM will not honor any return for any reason–even when it's due to their own plummeting quality control. But hey if you like gambling in Vegas and losing your money then you might feel right at home buying from here–a trilling high followed by an agonizing sense of loss!

I had an incident a while back when ordering a pair of burnt velvet leggings. The first time I wore them I noticed they had a slight ladder, so I contacted CS asking for a replacement (they weren鈥檛 LE, they were regular line). They flat out refused to offer anything to fix this, instead they blamed me for not being delicate enough with the item and refused to exchange them. They didn鈥檛 even offer me a slight discount or store credit. Nothing. I should have taken this red flag and immediately stopped shopping with them but fool me twice I guess.
The latest incident is that due to the pandemic I haven鈥檛 been able to collect an item from the sorting office and so it has been automatically sent back to them. I emailed some time later and asked that once it鈥檚 received, I would like a refund. They flat out refused to do this and cited their T&C鈥檚 which state that for a Return to Sender, the buyer has only two options, you can either pay handling fees to have store credit or pay even more money to have the item sent back to you again. However, at this point as I am out of work and as my financial position has significantly changed, I would simply like a refund of my monies. Call me crazy, but what exactly is the difference between RTS and a traditional return for black milk? As long as they鈥檝e received the item within the returns period, why can鈥檛 their consumers have a refund for said item? Both other options needlessly lose the customer money. This is a cruel and money grabbing scheme which only benefits the company. I would never recommend a brand which unyieldingly does this, especially during such difficult and unprecedented times. Good will = none existent.

I've been a long time purchaser with a ridiculous number of pieces, however, the quality of their clothing has deteriorated of late and their customer service is abrupt, rude and dismissive.
I just get an overall sense that Black Milk think they are better than the customer and that the customer should be grateful to Black Milk for allowing them to purchase their products – Rather than being grateful and respectful to and for their customers …. Without whom, there is no Black Milk.
Cancelled for me.

Most recent order has been slow though – waiting 11 days now and still no sign of anything turning up….
If I haven't heard from them soon I'll have to chase them up about it – which is really unusual asthey have always been super efficient until now 🙁

So I got the "Mini Mermaid leggings" and the "Black Mermaid Pocket Skater Skirt"
I am going to mention this but I am not sure if it was their fault or if they could have done anything about it, but the shipping to europe took over a month. The package got stuck at customs in my country so as I said I am not sure if they can do anything about it. Just be aware that it can take a while to get to you.
The second thing that I personally did not know is that the price on the website is not the actual price you have to pay, because tax is not included. Again I don麓t know if that is normal overseas but in my country tax is usually included.
Another thing that bugged me was the fact that the tracking of my package did not work whatsoever. Shortly after I got the email from blackmilk, I had a status update on the tracking site saying it was in Brisbane scheduled to be shipped. And that was it, there was not another update since then, obviously I already have the product but on the site it still says my package is in Brisbane, absolutly useless.
Now to the actual products: I loved them when I first opened the package but both have flaws which I would not expect from clothing that is this expensive.
First the leggings: They are incredibly fragile, eventhough they麓re leggings they are made from 84% nylon so it feels like anything can damage the design especially dangerous are: Fingernails, Velcro, sitting on wooden chairs etc. I麓ve had mine for about 2 weeks and there are already a lot of small knots all over them.
The second thing that i find even more anoying is that they are already falling appart at the seams, the seam in the crotch area is coming loose and there is a hole forming.
The skirt: With the skirt I luckily didn麓t have as many problems, the fabric is sturdy and seems to be high quality. I can麓t really say anything about the longevity of the print because I haven麓t washed it yet. What annoys me are the pockets: the whole skirt is made up of two parts of fabric. The pockets are literally just two flaps tucked to the inside and when you put your hand in them and pull them back out 9 out of 10 times the pocket turns inside out. This, to me, is just lazy cheap design and they should have sown real pockets in.
So over all I am giving them 2 stars just because I like the designs but the quality definitly does not live up to the expectations.

Very disappointed, as I love their prints, have had good experiences in the past, and I like supporting Australian designers, but after this I don't think I'll risk buying from them again.

I have been a loyal fan of this company for years, some of their items are excellent and unique but recently I have experienced some terrible service.
My last two orders took almost 2 months to arrive, on both occasions. On each occasion I was advised, strongly, to opt for express delivery and I unfortunately relented on my most recent order, a christmas present – What a mistake this was.
Now as a UK resident you expect VAT to be added on entry, not a problem, however, what you do not expect is to be charged 18AUD for delivery which does not even cover the cost of delivery. You will find that upon entry when using their express delivery option, their chosen carrier will charge you at minimum double this in hidden charges, the rate begins at an additional 20AUD for "brokerage charges" but varies dependent on weight and value of package, which means you could literally be charged 100s of pounds depending on how much you order and guess what, black milk try to fob it off as standard and claim that they're not liable for inaccurately depicting delivery fees on their website. I'm willing to bet that they receive a portion of this charge as part of their contract with UPS, I am also considering that they push the option so hard because of this and purposefully make the standard delivery option substandard at best.
The quality has gone down, I always liked that they appeared to make items themselves but lately I am seeing descriptions that say "made in China" and the prices have been driven up aswell.
I contacted customer services about my outrage and how they are misleading customers with their delivery pricing and received most unhelpful responses, what should have been a 拢60 (including postage) Christmas present became a 拢90 nightmare that I could not afford and I have opted to return to sender and the best they could say was: well we might accept it back, if we do the money will be taken off your refund but we can also choose not to at which point it will be destroyed and you will receive nothing back.
I would strongly advise avoiding this brand but if you cannot help yourself then do not, I repeat, do not opt for express delivery.

I've bought eight different pieces of clothing from Black Milk Clothing over the years (Bodycon dress, two leggings, swim wear body suit, skater skirt, maxi dress, two skater dresses). My review is based on my experiene with these pieces.
First of all, the material is cheap and nasty.
Half the clothes on the Black Milk website have these fun disclaimers in the clothing description saying things like – material is semi see through, or don't wear it *too much* or the pattern fades, don't rub the material, be careful washing the material. Aka Black Milk uses cheap material. Of course if this isn't an issue and you want to look like a twelve year old wearing an ill designed skater dress then be my guest.
Another problem I find with the Black Milk brand is crowd mentality behind the brand. The *sharkies* are underhandedly controlled by this company to hype up their sub standard products. The truth about the quality of their products is hard to find when then's so much fake promo. But if you read the reviews on unbiased sites you'll see people are saying the same thing. It's poor quality and badly cut.
I wouldn't recommend buying clothes from Black Milk. They are cheap clothing being charged at ridiculous markups. Don't waste your money on crap.

My only warning is same as others, being Canadian keep your orders over 120 for free shipping, and under 150 so you decrease your chance of hitting customs. Or if you live near to the states get an American PO box. Honestly their products are worth the hassle. <3
