I came across BlogFeatured through a seller offering media coverage services on Fiverr, her name is "Laurie Loveless" (although it was a different name on Fiverr which was the first redflag). This Laurie person had a LinkedIn profile which looked legitimate and we chatted on Skype.
Their website (blogfeatured.com) appeared very promising, and I doubted they would try to scam me. Unfortuantely there were no reviews of their site, so I couldn't tell whether they were legit. Nevertheless, since we were chatting on skype, I asked if I can get a confirmation from a company email (to be sure she is the actual person working for BlogFeatured), and indeed I received an email from roy @blogfeatured.com confirming my discussion with this Laurie. So I decided to go ahead and place the order. The price was $1200 for the placement on NY Times, and I was to send $500 as an advance deposit. Unfortunately, I couldn't make the deposit via PayPal so I sent the money via Payoneer.
She promised to show me the draft or some "video confirmation" within 12 days, which she didn't. I was pestering her for a few days and finally she sent me the video as proof that my draft is ready to be published on the NY Times. However, it was a total fake. I found the actual article on the nytimes, it was published months ago, and they just used code inspect tool to modify the title and some paragrapghs to make it look like the article was about my client… So they recorded that and sent me the video.. She then told me that I have to pay the rest of the money before the article is published… This is when I demanded my money back because the video was clearly a fake… She responded that it's some misudnerstanding with their "editor" and that it won't happen again and they would just use a different editor.. But I just asked for my money back. She said she would refund the next day, which she didn't.. She kept the chat going for a couple days and then disappeared. So they just scammed me for $500 and thank god I didn't go for that "video proof" scam and paid more money. Others may not be so fortunate..
So DO NOT send them any money. There was another guy named "Evans R." so stay away from that guy too.
I published my review on Trustpilot too but somehow they got it removed and added some fake five star soon after. So beware of that too.
