SCAM. Go directly to ASIC to see if your business name needs to be re-registered. Where this service costs around $35, this scam invoice is for $99. If you pay it in error, you can claim it back as a scam from you financial institution.

Rcvd the offer letter to renew my Business Registration from this company. Read the letter thoroughly & became a little suspicious & then checked them out ! Unbelievable ! As people have said they are Scamming Scum.

How did they get my ABN & does ASSIC or the relevant authorities know about these people ?

Stay away & report them !

I have learnt the hard way that these people are scammers. How are they able to continue trading and taking money off people fraudulently? Is there any hope of recovering my money? I wish I was more on the ball when I got the letter.

As others have mentioned this is a well known scam. They will either send email or a letter to the business registration owner. Do not renew your business name. Check with ASICS only. Search for "Scams targeting ASIC customers" in Google for mor einfomraiton. This entire business is a scam and you place your business at risk. PS: It's also cheaper to renew your business name directly from ASICS.

If you got this as an email, it would already have been deleted as SPAM. So, why are you wasting your time with a printed letter, it's no more real than the scam emails. Anyone that has traveled to the USA and applied for a VISA will find similar companies that process your application … with a fee … this company is doing the same thing. I suspect however they are also collecting more data on you! Throw it in the bin or use it to start your BBQ.

Stay well clear of these scam mongers. It's hard to believe someone would stoop as low as to trick small business owners out of their hard earned money, but here they are.
They charge you $99 for the privilege of registering your business with ASIC, which costs 36. The info you have to fill in for them is actually more than the info you give to ASIC, which is also done online and immediate.
Imagine someone standing at a train ticket machine, and offering to buy that ticket for you, charging you $60 for the "service". This is what they're doing.
Their scam emails are info at bnrenewal.com.au and support at bnrenewal.com.au

BEWARE!! These guys sent me a letter saying I needed to pay $99 to renew my business name for a year, or $199 for 3 years. I thought that was a bit much so looked into it on ASIC…
ASIC said I WASN'T due for renewal and the charges were $36 for a year and $85 for 3. Dont be sucked in by this!

Year after year this lot will send me a letter asking me to pay them to renew my business name – it costs 1/3 of their quoted price to spend 3 minutes doing it myself via ASIC… Nothing more than a way to make money charging people for an unnecessary service.

Alerted. This is a seriously sophisticated scammer. After receiving letter from them regarding to business renewal notice quoting $199 for 3 years, I did pay them the amount via a hyperlink written in the letter, thinking they are working on behalf of ASIC. But genuine ASIC Connect website only charges $85 instead. Better stay away from this joker!

SCAM SCAM SCAM

Throw the letters in the bin after you forward to ReportASICEmailFraud at asic dot gov dot au

This company attempts to charge you over 3 times the actual cost of what it should via the correct channel to renew your business name.

I don鈥檛 know how they are still operating when there has been multiple reports since 2017, the authorities need to close these scammers down quick smart.

Feel free to email them with your thoughts.

The letters will contain these details.

Do not use this company. They are profiting off a service that is easy to secure much much cheaper through the direct ASIC website.

DISHONEST COMPANY! A SCAM!
Pretending to be ASIC and charging three times the price. I cannot believe the ACCC and ASIC are allowing this company to continue trading after all these years. Our government NEEDS to do something as they are parading around like they are ASIC.

Deceptive and scammy tactics – they scrape your details then they creatively craft an letter sent to your physical mailing address with a lot of mentions of the term ASIC in the letter body.

Avoid at all costs. And renew your business name only via the official ASIC website.

Scam, do not engage with these vultures. Renewals and registrations should only ever be through ASIC. They will send a letter that looks like an important business renewal. Don't act upon it. Only pay attention to real ASIC correspondence.

They,re a scam. Don't use them. For a business name renewal they charge $199 for three years. When you can go though ASIC and pay $85.
