Hey, listen up this BoatHistoryReport.com was excellent. I paid my $39.00 put in the HIN number, and it reveals the make of the boat. I then thought well, that's nice, but I already knew that information. I thought well that was a waste of $39.00, so I contacted Boat History Report via Email, and to my surprise, they emailed me back promptly with a reply. It turns out I put in the wrong HIN number. They offered a full refund, but I just wanted information on the boat. That is when Caroline called from Boat History Report. She tracked down the boat information for me. It turned out the 1975 boat was never appropriately registered, and that was the reason no information was available. She even went as far as getting me the steps the owner could take to get it registered, and I could legally buy the boat without problems with the title. Thank you, Boat History Report, but a special thanks to Caroline, who went way above and beyond my $39.00 purchase.

I paid for a report on the 31鈥?Contender I was looking at and am glad I did. The seller didn鈥檛 know (at least that鈥檚 what he told me) that the boat had been stolen before he bought it. The boat was fine but I鈥檓 glad I had this info to dig deeper into negotiations!!! Thanks again

Worth every penny when making a large purchase like a boat. For many people, like myself, this will be the largest purchase they make other than a house. Was very happy with all the information I received in the report.

Definitely worth $35 to get a report before buying a boat to make a more informed decision.

We used it while searching for a used 38ex Contender. My husband was about to catch a flight to Florida to look at a boat we had put a deposit on but we ran the report before he left and it was salvaged. Initially the seller was adamant it had never been salvaged, but once we presented him with more and more info his story changed. Boat history worked with us to provide us with additional details on the salvage since the seller wasn't being upfront. He said it was just a small insurance claim but at that point we didn't trust him. We won't buy a boat again without checking the history.

Seller didn't tell me they bought the boat from the insurance company. Turns out the boat was a total loss which would have been a total waste (of money) if I didn't run the report. Would I use them again? You bet I would.

While there was some value in the report, it was limited. I was disappointed that the report didn't show the owner history and there was an unexplained 6-year gap in the registration. The recall information was helpful, but very generalized… had to sift through the 42 items to find the 1 that applied to this particular year/model.

I was looking for a history of owners and states theboat had been registered in. I am restoring a 1974 boat that I am restoring. I was hoping to fid the model of the boat. he info. I recieved was nice but not needed. Thanks
