I thought I would try them but my first experience was being overcharged. They quoted 拢7 for a ride but then charged me 拢12.50 for less than a mile. I complained and they said that the first time they charge a little more to check that your Credit card works. I don鈥檛 call 拢5.50 on a 拢7 ride a little bit more. It was less than 1 Mile. Steer clear of these cowboys.

We used bolt on Saturday night. 14th March 2020. The driver went to turn onto the A40 in the wrong direction, only seeing that all the cars in all 3 lanes were facing him (and me calling out) before realising he couldn't turn right at that point (it was above an underpass so he needed to drive across the underpass to turn right). Then in Central London, he drove on a dedicated cycle lane!!!! It was so clearly marked, even I saw it from the back seat!!!! On top that he drove around 15 mph when there was hardly any traffic…… I asked him if he has a license to drive. My partner asked him how long he has been driving in this country and he 'claimed' 17 years after trying to dodge the question 3 times. I argued that it was more like 17 minutes. I will NEVER use this taxi company again.

Unfairly treated Do drivers have rights
Rider made a false report about seat belt are not working and Bolt blocked my account straight away with out asking me.
Brilliant being giving rides on Uber and Ola since that without anybody complaining.
Atleast ask the driver point of view. Means anybody can come in and complain n Bolt will block them without taking otherside of the story. Totally unfair. Blocked account at weekend.. Office is closed till Monday Department who deal with it is based in other country and they only msg on the app which you probably won't see as app doesn't ping that until or unless you specifically open msgs which I don't always.
Its a problem why hide behind msg call driver ask them or talk to them.. You msg and that its your job is done. Wow driver can't contact with rider on msgs which I think it's fine as its not always ppl read msgs it's better to call n talk but it's opposite with bolt customer service they don't call they msg 11:48 in night and block account when you are sleeping amazing service.

The application charges unreasonable fees for the calcelled orders (e.g. driver was in the traffic jam; other situation – driver asked to cancel the order and make a transfer to his card, what I obviously refused to do). Although, money from my card went! Those drivers never came to the spot where I was waiting for the car.
Switching to another service and deleting the bolt app.

The app is extremely buggy and untrustworthy. The estimated arrival times are always misleading and off by 5+ minutes, and the app never lets me call my driver. When customer service is called, they call back 30 mins later (by the time the issue at hand is irrelevant) and their inefficient route mapping leads to extra charges!!

Hi hope you guys doing well. Its been 4 months i am working with Bolt. Its a great company to work with. Payment is right on time. Customer service is great. They are always helping. Only one Issue with Bolt App is they never give job on Destination settings. Like its been 4 months im trying every single day even from Central london but No luck getting destination jobs. Im not the only one facing this issue my 5 other friends also experiencing the same issue. I have informed the Bolt customer services today . I hope they will inform this technical issue to support team and come up with a solution. Like Uber when u set A Home destination you will get a Jobs quite often if you are in central or surrounding areas.

I was wanting at the very clear location but had to call driver and direct him. I have explained that I was with a 5 months old baby and he cancel this trip because he couldn't find location. I had to wait another almost 10 minutes for another taxi. This is so unfair. He was Romania driver. Hardly spoken any English and no manners. I won't be using this Company again!

fast, cheap and reliable but cars are not always perfect. fifty percent of the time cant complain for the price you pay though

I use this service a lot in Vilnius (Lithuania), and I've never had real problems. It's very practical and cheap, usually in the range of 2 to 3 euros for each ride, I think I've never spent more than 6 or 7 euros even for very long rides. If you are in the city centre the cars often arrive almost instantly. I don't understand the vast majority of bad reviews, probably in other countries/cities the service is worse than here

Way better than Uber. Drivers are charged less commission and the overall free is usually cheaper. GPS gets mixed up sometimes but that happens with Uber also

It's a shame that it is not possible to provide 0 stars.

Due to a glitch in the app, my ride in Vienna was changed from the usual card payment to cash. I used to ride BOLT 2-3 times a day and never experienced that.

So far so good – there is no way to change the ride's payment method. Driver insisted on cash and when I mentioned that I only have card and that I did not know how that happened, he became extremely aggressive and threatening. he suggested to drive me to an ATM (a few kilometres away) and charge for that drive to the ATM separately. All for a measly 鈧?0. I suggested leaving my ID with the driver, him providing me account details, us contacting Bolt together etc. With the threat of calling the police, I exited the car and assured the driver that the payment would be made.

I contact Bolt through the in-app messenger to make a complaint and request the account details – FAIL. I contact Bolt through Facebook – FAIL. In contact Bolt though Twitter – FAIL. Once I emailed them, I received the account details of the driver. I proceeded and made the transfer.

And guess what happened at the end of all of this – Bolt has locked MY account.

So this is a big F-U to this crappy excuse of a company. The level of customer service is simply not comparable to UBER.

P.S. During the ride it also turns out that the driver is an Islamist fanatic who made it a point to share his views with me, despite me not displaying any interest in a politcal or religious discussion, but that's another story.

Just 1 star because its not possible to put 0.
App not working good and you get charges for that. Charges if you click something by mistake or if you immediately cancel a ride. Scammers, better yandex.

My issue with Bolt is their unwillingness to help me. I have had a security breach on my phone and wanted to change my security details. There is no provision in their app to do so, nor on their site so I requested deletion and then I would start again. They did nothing – I have called every day for a week and they palm me off with unhelpful comments such as we are escalating your case. I have found them to be obstructive and totally unfocused on their customers needs.

WORSE THAN UBER, YOUR NOT SAFE AND ALL YOUR BANK DETAILS ARE PASSED FROM LONDON TO ROMANIA!!! 5 TIMES THEY TOOK 拢9 OUT OF MY DAUGHTER'S ACCOUNT, WHEN IT WAS THE DRIVERS THAT CANCELLED. THEY LEAVE YOUNG PEOPLE & WOMEN VULNERABLE AS THEY CANCEL WHEN THEY LIKE!! THEN THEY STILL TAKE YOUR MONEY.
THE BRITISH GOVERNMENT NEED TO STOP THEM & MAKE THEM TAKE THEIR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE!1 I'M DISGUSTED!

First time using bolt, I should have received 7 pound credit plus 14 pound credit from a code which was accepted in the app. When the driver arrived, bolt had taken 拢33 from my account. I arrive home at 1am. I check my app and the driver hasn鈥檛 finished the journey. He finally finishes the journey at 1:25am and I am then charged a further 拢40 quid. Bolt then refund me the original 拢33. This looks like I have not received my credit and the driver has made it look like the journey was 25 mins longer than it was. As I said first time using this service. I tried calling Bolt support number in the app and the guy hangs up on me. No one is getting back to me via support in the app or Facebook. Worst company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. This is very poor service

Worst Company to work for is Bolt. The Bolt support team do not know what the word support or service is – as they are used to bullying eastern European and Africa drivers.

Sorry this is England we know our worth and will not allow you to push us around or threaten our lively hood.

I am a rider and a driver I acknowledge there are a lot of bad people using this platform so my advise is to avoid them all together.

Booked a taxi to pick up from london paddington, driver claimed to arrive but was nowhere to be seen. Charged me 拢6 cancellation fee for not showing up. I phoned their "customer services" who were not at all interested and would not refund my card. Absolute fraudsters
