After calling for four hours because the apartment was an absolute disappointment we were told that someone would call us back to help us get in touch with the owners. No one called of course. Absolute waste of time and energy. Will never use this webpage again.
We booked the City Hall & Apart Rooms in Split, Croatia. Booking nr: 3817842360
Thank you for nothing.

After the reservation, the hotel threatens to cancel reservation or they will charge me and I will stay without accommodation. I'm contacting booking.com with three email in a row, but I do not have a reply after a 7 days!?

17 bookings and I`m not allowed to leave a single review and they are ignoring the answer. The newspaper DN wrote they have the strategy of not allowing too much negative reviews against their partners / hotels so they get high reviews ?! So they can sell more. It`s waist of effort like this, very bad hotels that I've been to have now very high ratings, but do not think they've gotten better. It's this cheating company that makes them better than they are.

Great offers and also a wide range of hotels and apartments. However, I don't want to hand out my Credit Card details as a Hotel tried to charge me two times when I used booking.

WARNING Deceptive site

In the Indian Ocean area and pacific, … booking.com advertises prices excl.
A very bad surprise awaits you on the day of departure of the hotel when paying.
That's why booking.com is often the cheapest on comparator
You are warned to read your order before proceeding to the payment

Property partner commission rebate scheme fraud.

Hotelier beware they are trying to find excuses not to pay commission rebate as contracted.

Shameful way to rob your business partners at such a difficult time.

Absolutely unprofessional and extremely unhelpful business. I have been trying now for 8 months to be refunded for a trip I could not go on due to a global pandemic causing borders and all flights out of my country to be cancelled. After waiting 5 months and numerous emails (all ignored I may add) i recieved correspondence that I was to be refunded in full and it was not being processed and to be returned within 10 working days. Since that email it has now been 2 months with no refund. I have given numerous opportunity for the right thing to be done. Booking does not even have a contact number in which go get hold of them, and blatenly are ignoring emails. Small claims court will now be exercised to retrieve the money I am owed.

Would not use Booking.com or Tommy Apartments! Highly recommend avoiding these businesses completely.

Please avoid booking.com at all costs. I had immense problems with my host and the host did not reply, did not answer the phone. Booking.com service will tell you everything to make you feel like everything will be ok, basically wasting your time. They even go so far and promise that if the host would not reply even to their emails they would cancel the reservation and pay me back my money. However, after pressing them for that (after the host not replying for 10 days straight!) they said "sorry there is nothing we can do anymore". They never did anything anyway, this is ridiculous and I made a loss of 500 euros due to the failure of Booking.com and their unfriendly, scammer Host.

So all I can say is AVOID booking.com at all costs. If you think they have good customer service you are very very wrong.

Do yourself a favour- don't touch these people with a bargepole!!

Firstly they confirmed a 3 night booking for me having ignored the hotel in question's advices that the Saturday night was full, resulting in us having to cancel the booking.

Then having made a second three night booking we had to cancel it because of my Wife displaying signs of Covid infection.

Although the cancellation was after the cut-off date, the hotel was most understanding and said they would not charge us the full cost of the booking and would attempt to get Booking.com to waive their commission.

Needless to say these money grabbers refused and I have had to pay it, 拢43.00, not a dreadful amount of money but in the circumstances Booking.com's attitude stinks.

I have used them several times over the years but never again. They have gained 拢43.00 but will lose hundreds.

As for the hotel, because of their reasonable attitude I SHALL use them again.

Booking.com please note- treat your Clients with respect and they will come back time after time-treat them like dirt and you will never see them again.

I would leave a negative value if it were possible.
Booked a 1 bedroom apartment in Albufeira which was really a studio, we advised the host we would arrive at 11:30pm which was confirmed, we arrived there about 11:35pm and no-one was there to meet us. My wife has osteoporosis in her hips and if it was not for the helpful gentleman next door, we would not have known the snack bar across the road were related to the host.
We had to wait an hour for the host to turn up after being contacted by his family, he thought we had booked through Airbnb, we had no instructions and when we spoke to the family someone had taken the keys home.

Booking.com spoke to the host and he said he was 20 minutes late which was an outright. Lie as he had advised this had happened before. Booking.com had no interest in resolving the issue as 鈥渨e are only the platform they use for their properties. My contract was with them. I will never use this company again, absolute disgrace.

Booked a hotel in Porto in May 2020 and the flights were cancelled due to lockdown but the hotel Will not give us a refund as they said we didn鈥檛 turn up!
Booking.com have been so unhelpful and what鈥檚 worse is that when I call and put my confirmation number in they cut me off so as not to deal with me! We book all our holidays with them all around the world but I鈥檓 Never using them again!

My partner and I booked a hotel in New Orleans through Booking.com in January this year, hoping to stay in October. We paid in full at the time of booking and were aware that the booking was fixed and that we could not cancel. Sadly BA have cancelled our flights as a result of the Covid situation. I sent an email to Booking.com telling them what had happened. My email was answered on the same day and the company volunteered to take the matter up with the hotel. I was advised the next day that the hotel had made an exception, due to the circumstances, and had agreed to refund the amount we had paid. The refund was received the next day. I really have to say that the service we received was exemplary.

Booked an apartment through Booking.com but due to UK government stopping all accommodation stopovers in UK I asked for a refund from the provider they refused even though they were legally not allowed to open what鈥檚 worse is that this apartment claimed that they were open this was in June 2020 in Eastbourne Sussex. BOOKING.COM DID NOTHING TO ASSIST ME AND WHATS MORE STILL ADVERTISED THE ACCOMMODATION FOR JUNE 2020.

Booking.com is not fit for purpose and I would never use them again so beware.

My friends chipped in to buy me a booking.com voucher. When I tried to use it, it didn鈥檛 work.

I contacted customer service. No response so I chased and was told they were looking into it. I chased again, same answer. And again, same answer. Then I was told to send in photographs of the voucher, which I did. Then chased again, told they鈥檙e looking into it.

After a month of this (baring in mind I had something to book.) I was told they needed a receipt. I explained that a gift voucher is typically a gift. And it鈥檚 unusual to give someone a receipt when you gift them a gift a voucher. The point of a voucher Is that they can spend it on what they like, and it鈥檚 non-refundable.

I received a response to say they completely agreed….but still won鈥檛 do anything. So hard lines me.

I have the voucher number, the pin, I鈥檝e send photographs and offered to post it. I can鈥檛 see how this ain鈥檛 theft. Imagine the money they鈥檙e making if they鈥檙e doing this frequently.

If booking.com read this please can you contact me as you must see this is unreasonable. Surly?

Makes me very sad to think of people chipping in for this – what an utter waste of a really kind gesture.

We cancelled our booking at an apartment in Majorca, over 60 days in advance of our arrival ( liable for only the deposit), due to critical and life changing illness. We asked if they would refund the deposit in our case. Booking.com confirmed receipt of our cancellation. The owners never replied.

After 2 months of no response or communication, the owners took the full balance from our credit card on the planned day of arrival as if we had not cancelled. We consider this to be fraudulent.

Booking.com have not helped us resolve this and we do not understand how their data protection allows this?!! Their customer support messages make no sense and show that they do not listen – it鈥檚 a 鈥楾alk to the Hand鈥?mentality.
Be warned that using Booking.com does not protect you at all against an unscrupulous owner. They have now advised to make a travel insurance or credit card dispute claim. We will not use Booking.com again 鈥?what鈥檚 the point??
Please accept our experience as a warning against both the owner鈥檚 integrity (Record Maritim II 鈥?Port D鈥橝lcudia, Majorca) and Booking.com鈥檚 lack of support or interest in resolving our dispute.
We consider the owners of this property to be unethical and lacking in any humanity and do not understand why Booking.com continue to work with them to market their property.

Booked accommodation in London which was paid for 30 days before the trip in April. We had to postpone due to lockdown and on trying to rebook the accommodation discovered it was no longer available. Despite Booking.com taking the payment they claim it is nothing to do with them and will not refund the 拢800. I cannot understand why this is not fraud as they have taken payment for accommodation that does not now exist. WILL NOT USE BOOKING.COM AGAIN.

Writing this review from a hotel that would make faulty towers look like a 5 star hotel.

I can鈥檛 believe that booking.com allowed this place to be on their site.

Really unsupportive when we spoke to booking.com.

My 2nd bad experience with them, I won鈥檛 be using again.

I recently booked a weekend stay at a hotel using booking.com which I paid upfront to save money…the amount advertised and showing on my confirmation email and account was 拢205 but the amount taken from my bank was 拢222 after numerous calls, emails and messages booking.com are still disputing I have been overcharged, they've asked for bank statements with this amount taken which I have supplied but they still say its not enough..basically saying the payment is pending even though the amount has been debited from my balance plus it was charged a month ago and also it has now been 2weeks since I stayed at the hotel..I no longer trust booking.con..oops .com to charge the price advertised..it seems after booking they can take what they want.. Beware.. I won't be using them again!

Booking.com is just a proxy for booking hotels or properties avoid this company they don't help you on protecting your rights. 1st host from Salcombe, Moult Sylvan canceled my booking because of their own mistake and asking me more money after reservation. Booking.com helped and arrange a second property in Salcombe in which when I arrived the property was not cleaned after previous check out. Risking me and my family due to coronavirus entering a property not cleaned. I was immediately refunded! After tiring efforts of asking compensation for my travel (because I booked 1 night hotel for 2 families and returned back without even going around Salcombe after the dreadful experience) . Booking.com could only push the property for 100 pound compensation and we spent at least 500 pound to drive there, rest and drive back (and loss of time!!!). Oh thanks that is great!!! Booking.com has no power when you are booking through them; beware that they have no power to protect your rights and they are just a proxy for booking nothing more!

Due to lockdown we were unable to attend the lodge we had booked. Booking.com didsend a cancellation with no fee back in March. Heard nothing since but have been trying to contact them. Contacted the lodge owner. They refunded Booking.com in May so where is my REFUND. Got a email through yesterday and even tho they have my card details they want a copy of my bank statement showing the transaction and it has to show the bank logo, my details, my account details and the transactions. so in the teckno world of paperless hows that possible when everything is an app and you dont get all those details on screen They are taking the pxxx They are making it as hard as possible to get money back.

Asked for help it wasn't there.
I asked customer service for help as I could not attend a booking due to being Shielding on doctors orders. I could not attend although 2 other family members could; they didn't because the venue Quantock Orchard camping facilities were not all open. Wouldn't use Booking.com again.

Booked a Hotel Room in Ireland in February for a surprise trip in April. Then Covid happened and the Hotel cancelled, with Booking.com advising that they had confirmed the cancellation on my behalf.A refund was promised within 10 days , changing to 20 days but still nothing by today 14.07.2020. Repeated promises broken, usual demand for bank statements as evidence that I had actually paid for the room. Have now raised as a disputed transaction with the card issuer.
Bearing in mind I have used Booking.com on many, many occasions for trips in UK, Europe, Canada, USA and Australia, including car hire and attractions you would think they value customer support and take loyalty seriously. Not so it seems, and the current Booking.com circulars received via e mail promoting stays and vacation offers will not be taken up.
If a company behaviour is this bad, then I'm afraid they need avoiding.

Just sold me a hotel room in Scotland today and I have just found out it's illegal to open that hotel in Scotland on the date I booked (the hotel is closed and not responding to calls) . They should not be selling hotel rooms that cannot open. They said I would not qualify for a refund. Contacting the credit card company. Will never use booking.com again .
