It took me months to get bookretreats to give the money back and with the help of the indian police after 6 months i got my money back. Sean, the scammer ceo of the company is still sending me emails. I already informed them last year to comply with the data protection law but this guy does not want to comply. Beware of this fake scam company.

Excellent experience! I used to think that practice meditation means sitting long hour until your legs become numb. This retreat change my belief. Zen can happen in every minutes of your life.

Nice to meet some interesting and same mind people. Yado san had done a great job to share his knowledge in zen and buddism. His family take a very good care to each guest. Meals are not vegetarian but every meal we had were amazing or even like a restaurant.

The activities like calligraphy and tea ceremony are small class experience. So it was a good chance to learn more about Japanese culture.

I would recommend this retreat to everyone no matter whether you are beginner or expert in meditation, or simply want to know more about Japanese buddism and culture.

After outlining my last-minute, totally impulse decision to seek a short retreat, the folks at Bookretreats now delivered 100%. They seemed to read between the lines to find me exactly what I wanted. Would def use them again…

I love the 'personal' messages, the way the customer and the retreatfacility are brought in contact. I had a wonderful retreat and have suggested the website to friends. I'm deffinately booking again this way!

Everything was beautiful… I want to move there!
All of my expectations were met, the break from my day to day could not have come at a more needed time. The bodyworks (massages, acupuncture, etc.) were awesome, the pool/hot tube were great, the people I was there with (I was alone, but there were other guests) were very nice and Ira and Val were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I missed Florida more than I had realized.

Everything was just amazing at Eden on the Chocolata. Remy, Renate and Danny led me through my practice, and was able to achieve new breakthroughs in my practice. The views from the property was just stunning. The cabin was great, and spacious. Finally the food was incredible. Thank you to Eden on the Chocolata for a beautiful stay.

I ve never felt more restored and rejuvenated. One of the most beautiful, transformative experiences.

I AM NOW IN TOUCH WITH YOGA ALLIANCE & LOCAL POLICE FOR HELP. the school you advertised on your web with photos was shut down 6 months ago, however i purchased the course 1 month ago when the Nirvingham school left that building 6 months EARLIER. Have you heard of consumer protection law? right to information? the advertisement was FALSE, but not only that you are saying to support people & you could not call me & even after one day still did not come back to me with a solution in an emergency situation. that shows how bad & scam your 'business' is. UNFORTUNATELY THESE RETREATS YOU ARE ADVERTISING ARE RIP OFF FOREIGNERS COURSES. NOT AUTHENTIC YOGA COURSES.

Incredible that they keep telling lies. They posted pictures of the school which was shut down in January. It is called FALSE ADVERTISEMENT WHICH IS A CRIMINAL ACT. APPARENTLY They VISITED THE SCHOOL IN JANUARY & STRANGELY DID NOT KNOW THEY WOULD SHUT DOWN AT THE END OF MONTH?? they SOLD A COURSE IN A SCHOOL WHICH DOES NOT EXIST. LOCAL POLICE CONFIRMED FRAUD.

YOGA RETREAT IN CROATIA

I had booked an 鈥渆ight days energising yoga retreat鈥?in Croatia.

The retreat was booked six weeks prior to the date on which it was due to begin.
Two weeks before the departure date I was informed that the retreat had been cancelled. The reason stated for the cancellation was that another group had unexpectedly pulled out and that it would no longer be feasible to go ahead.

I had booked flights (this was not a service that bookyogaretreat.com offers and was therefore booked independently).
Upon receiving notification of the cancellation, I contacted the host of the retreat who contacted bookyogaretreat.com in order to resolve the situation.
I found however that the representative from bookyogaretreat was unsympathetic and at best, unhelpful.

The deposit sum was reimbursed but the costs relating to travel have not been addressed. In addition to this, I am faced with having to spend more money towards booking a hotel at short notice in the peak of summer.
I would have imagined that as the cancellation was not due to a fault on my behalf, and given the inconvenience and disappointment faced by me, that bookyogaretreat would be proactive in addressing such concerns with a gesture of goodwill. Instead I was advised to book a spa experience in Croatia in place of the retreat.
I would advise anyone wanting to buy a retreat from bookyogaretreat.com to carefully read the cancellation policy.

Luckily I was able to find a yoga retreat from a website called Yovada, which turned out to be more professional and responsible than Bookyogaretreat.com.
Thanks to them I鈥檝e managed to turn around what could have potentially be a ruined first yoga experience, however that came with a cost of my flight which I have spent more money to rebook the existing ticket to Croatia.

This was one of the best experiences i ever had!

I made a great progress with myself with the help of Anna, Pandeji and the group.
The accommodation during the retreat is simple but beautiful with great energy. Anna really makes you feel at home.
The program is full with Yoga and meditation – which is the point of the retreat. You can also go to a lake which is nearby and have a walkin the nature if you wish.
The food was PERFECT!!! vegetarian. The many was different every day.
To sum up i would give 10 stars to this retreat if it was possible!

My experience at The Black Swan Temple was nothing short of incredible. If you are looking to unplug and give yourself the gift of total mental presence in a powerfully healing place, then The Black Swan Temple is the place for you. The accommodation is lovely and relaxing, the food is delightful and nutritious, the aerial yoga is fun and rejuvenating, and the healing sessions with Heather and Donny are transformative. I walked away from the retreat with a sense of clarity, freedom, uninhibited and passionate ambition for my next step, and a reconnection to myself.

Just lovely. Starting from the location, a perfect secluded village surrounded by a mountain, with beautiful not crowded beaches. Then the hospitality of the hosts, you can definitely feel like you're at home. The food was on some other level, everything was freshly made by the lovely people there, I couldn't stop eating. And at last, the yoga reatreat combined with the contact dance provided by the highly spiritual teachers thought me a lot. I could just express my immense graditude towards everyone involved in this re a treat, including the rest of the participants. Namaste! ???

I鈥檓 going through some tough times in my life and surf the web what to do during this time. I鈥檓 glad to land on bookretreats! It鈥檚 easy moving around the website and I like how it鈥檚 all vetted for you to chose from.
The confirmation video is a nice touch, it gives an idea face to face who is running the company apart from just emails.

What a wonderful retreat ! The place in the Alps is wonderful ! Soraya and Mike are very nice, very helpful, and pay attention to every litle details. The yoga sessions are very good too, meals are very tasty, Hiking sessions are lovely. My wife and I will keep unforgettable memories. I warmfully recommand

As a solo traveller and first time yoga-retreator, I can honestly say this wonderful little place, set in the beautiful mountains of Lanjar贸n was a perfect choice!
With every meal freshly prepared & all natural ingredients, along with lemon grass teas, I felt fully detoxed on my return.

The yoga each morning was a great way to start each day and waking up with the sunrise beaming through the windows of my private yurt, it really was a perfect place to reflect and take time out from my usual busy lifestyle.

I was the only person doing the retreat at the time (there were two other family鈥檚 just renting the other properties yurt/apartment, of which, one lady joined a couple of yoga sessions ?), this gave us flexibility to mix up the yoga and so we practiced in the pool and the yurt.

I wouldn鈥檛 advise walking back from Lanjar贸n at night – especially if you鈥檙e on your own, the roads can be very dark & it鈥檚 a good 45mins to 1hr on foot!

I would highly recommend a treatment – I had the Body & Mind Acupuncture and it really was a very moving experience. I came away felling more balanced and with a different perspective.

Just got round to leaving a review for my yoga retreat with Ines through Yoga with Perumal at the Marrakech Oasis retreat in January. Beautiful experience and a wonderful start to my year. I was a complete beginner and Ines was super patient with me, taking time to ensure I knew the difference breathing techniques as well as the proper first stage practices for a series of key movements. I came to the retreat at a difficult time for me personally and Ines鈥?empathetic and sensitive handling was just what I needed. Now doing regular yoga classes and really enjoying what I think will become a life practice!

A lovely place if they can just sort the sleeping. Crisalida was a lovely place where you get to relax your mind, body and soul. It is incredibly well run and all of the staff are so friendly. My only comment is that I would avoid the quadruple rooms. There is often only one bathroom and if you are unlucky enough to get the bed next to that – you won't get a lot of sleep. I would pay the extra and have a twin or a room to yourself – for your own space. I did not think that the sleeping arrangement I had (in a quad) was worth 拢100/day with food/activities. I would recommend this place if one was to get a better sleeping arrangement as everything else was lovely. Its 100% vegan, caffeine and sugar free. A lovely retreat if they can just sort the sleeping out and give people their own little space to get rest.

I had a fantastic time at Jen's country yoga retreat and can definitely recommend it! Here you get the real way of yoga… asanas, meditation, chakra-knowledge… and Jen explains and shares here huge knowledge and spirit of living in a very good and lovely way! I also appreciated the very healty food and the fact that Jen prepared special vegan dishes for me. The landscape around the house is beautiful and good to go for a run between the yoga classes – be aware that there are four lovely dogs waiting for you to join and protect you!
