Horrendous Experience! Been with Ovo now Boost a couple of years. Just a week ago i couldn't use their app. No longer available and have to download the new one! So i did of course. Old one great. Could check usage and top up easy when required. Even got texts to say low credit warning! Since the new app. No messages, no emails. No idea from my phone what my balance is. I get home from work yesterday. My house is in darkness. My poor autistic son is pacing the hall. Apparently no gas or electric useage since 10am. Couldnt ring me as his phone had no power. I was distraught we had been put in this position. I topped up immediately using the 'new' app nothing happened. It just took my money from my acct. I spent half an hour waiting to get through to customer service. I had to send copies of my payments i just made from my account as apparently the new app does NOT WORK!!!! I had just paid to top up. SERIOUSLY. No messages, no emails no voice calls left saying there were any issues coming. Disgusting. I was so upset my son had not eaten all day and sat in darkness for 2.5 hours unable to tell anyone. Then i am told not sure when the app will work lol. So how do i top up before i get cut off again? Go to a shop and use the bar code numbers i'm told. So this morning before work in a hurry my local shop tells me the gas number comes up invalid. I try 2 shops. Same story. I email cust service. No reply as yet. I call and am on hold half hour to be told there's no issue with my bar code numbers. Ok so tonight i go back to the shop and try again. Same answer. The gas bar code is invalid! Electric works fine. So what do i do now? Wait to get cut off again whilst i'm at work! Any answers as i give up and cant wait to move to a new supplier. I am furious. I dont have the time to run to the shop and top up which is why the app was originally great!

You never get through change your system to a worse one with just a months notice cannot get through to them to ask never ever reply to emails just poor customer service stay clear

I have been with boost now for 3 years. I am extremely happy with their customer service and find their payasyougo smart

Been waiting since 13th of May for a callback from a senior complaints advisor,called again today got cut off by first advisor,called again was told 24hour wait for call back,I think 24 hours have passed since the 13th May. How is this company still allowed to operate.

i took over boost when my tenant left. unfortunately the house was broken into and the smart meter was stolen prior to lockdown covid 19. After numerous calls, promises to ring back, It took 10 weeks for the meter to be re-installed (please note no gas in property). I was told an engineer would be my first call on day of appointment, arrived 4 hours after apt time, was told if i wasn't in when they called i would have to pay 拢130 for aborted visit. I was told that i was going to be compensated by 拢30, due to my inconvenience, which i accepted. then i was later informed that i was not going to get this payment as under covid 19, they dont have to honour apt times. i have yet to send them my response. But please all be aware this company do not seem to understand what or how to deliver customer service, break promises and are not worth your customer stay well away from this company. its a shame i have to award 1star to write a review.

Since ovo became boost energy the cost has risen and when I called them they cut me off, twice. I am changing power suppliers. They have become far too expensive. And disrespectful.

They took us all on under the name OVO giving us the smart meters then they got greedy us PAYG were not giving them enough money so they changed us into BOOST to BOOST their profits OVO cost of energy hardly changed but boost keeps rising never goes down, they have got round the energy freeze by the government by upping the standing charges PEOPLE STAY AWAY FROM BOOST

Very bad customer service, I would have given 0 star's if that was possible. The staff have no experience, and you'll waste an hour on hold, only to be told that the problem has been rectified but it's just lies to get you off the phone,.

Hi,, well I still have not heard from Boost heard from Boost energy I gave 46please on my meter lecky. I get my money on Wednesday. It is awful I switched off everything bar fridge. I will switch off my lights off main when I can see once daylight begins. I take my tramadol 1st as my spine hurts; it numbs the pain 4 a bit, limited mobility. I think the tramadol numbs the arthritis too. I sent photos of the arthritis to .receive. Gale MP.shaw-trust.org.uk and DDIC. I was a carer last job. Ex army + fireman before that. I tried 4 jobs, I was told
I was a Health and Safety risk. Can anyou one recommend another gas + lecky provider. Boost does not accept less than 拢5.00.
Tried 拢3.00 not acceptable. My first winter with arthritis. Boost website payg is hopeless I,m asking for the top up now urgent. They deduct it a bit from me each time I use pay point. My foned credit is low, 02 min is 拢10.
No family, all dead. So what next lecky runs out. Fridge food will go off. Nasty. Boost are you hearing me, I need help? now. I do not use my GCH. So flat is cold. Layers. I am 63 this year 64. Boost call me please.
I am sorry this is so long, I gave up on Boost energy. The sent to South energy. They will not let sign up??? yet boost said I go to that site too for help. ?? I am on MSE. I looked etc. And I am being switched to British Gas via Mr Lewis website, done 4 me. So I feel like relief.
Nothing on OVO site or foned, not good enough. When my 44p runs out? Boost say they will give 24 hrs extra? I wasted time and mobile money trying to contact them to speak. Enough already. So British gas will be my winter supplier. I hope 4 a better customer service. Boost sent a message at last??? Told them what is what, I need help. Gave my DOB acc. Full name. Again I wait I update u now. If they help or not I will inform you.
