what a wonderful, easily-organised and fun tour and skipper! thanks for such a fun night! (9 January 2015)

I had a call 24 hours before the event, that the engine broke down on our boat. Then they found me another option. The next day, I had my work event with 10 colleagues from all over the world. The boat was suppose to pick us up at 18.30, but they had warned me it might be 10 minutes late as it was coming from Westerpark area to our pick up spot in from of Dikker and Thijs Hotel. Finally by 18.50, I telephoned the mobile number of our skipper. He told me that he already had people in the boat and that he had picked them up from the dock at 18.30. This was ridiculous since we had been waiting there since before that time. He said, oh it must be a misverstand, I will be there in 15 minutes……then after 20 minutes, I call him to ask where he is? He says, I was there at the dock in front of the hotel, nobody was there. The he gave me the name of another hotel. He said someone sent him a text to ask them to pick him up at another hotel. By the time he got to us, he was over 1 hour late and we had missed that special hour on the canal, sun was going down. He even showed me the text which was from a phone number from a country code +47 as proof that someone asked him to go somewhere else. The whole trash bin on the boat was filled with about 60 beer cans. I was so embarrassed as I had arranged this work event. I actually want some compensation.
P.S. – despite this, the guy was a good skipper – he could navigate the canals well
