The Boulder Legal team were really understanding when contacting them initially. I wanted to get help in clearing my debts in an affordable way. With their help I was able to pay off my debts in a shorter time than I had expected.

I have never called and had my issue resolved on the first call. This was no exception. The people are nice but usually tell me someone else has to call me back and I never hear from that person.

I was grateful to learn there was indeed an additional way to resolve my issue. Thank you for the patience and kind support.

My latest call was a follow-up call to several (3-4) calls in the past 6 weeks. On each call the representative tells me he/she will inform the manager from the graduation department that I am requesting an update to my account regarding the negotiations. The representative states that I should hear back from someone in the department within 48-72 hours. Since I never heard back any of the prior times, I asked her why it is that I never hear back even though the representative tells me I should. She didn't really have an answer except to tell me that she is doing what she is required to do by writing a note to the manager of the unit. Since she couldn't answer, I asked to speak to her supervisor. I was put on hold three different times while she tried to access a supervisor. Eventually (7-8 mins) she told me there were no supervisors available. She assured me that I would hear from a supervisor soon. It has been two days and I have not heard from anyone. This is my typical experience when calling Boulder. It has been very dissatisfying to be a client of Boulder.

This company strives to help you become debt free. There services and client care team are awesome. I needed their support and help due to health issues. They also provide a great legal services as well. Sometimes they have to extend your program due to unforeseeable situations but overall you become debt free which is the goal. I would recommend this group/company to anyone who wants to become debt free no matter what your situation may be. I can't thank them enough for their support and kindness with helping me to become debt free.

Your customer service is terrible. I was placed on hold for over 40 minutes then was told to resend everything I sent two weeks ago after two people confirmed that they had received documents and were processing.

After over 4 years with this program, I can tell you it was a terrible mistake. My program was said to be over last November but they are still taking out those monthly drafts from my account. At this point I don鈥檛 know if any of the money is even going to my debts. I am sure they would be content to keep taking money out every month until I am dead, provided I don鈥檛 cancel. In the beginning they are very friendly in order to win you over. The first few months you will get 鈥渃hecking in鈥?customer service calls. The individual debt collectors then start sending you notices of non payment in the mail, leading to stress. This is followed by years of playing mostly one-sided phone tag with representatives that are not on top of their game. They apparently do not coerce with one another, as it is like starting all over again when you call because it is always someone new. You do not get an assigned caseworker for the duration. You get randomized, scripted nonsense (if you can even get anyone to answer). You will spend aeons on hold listening to the same crappy song repeated over and over in your ear to the point of madness. In between these phone calls, you will be faxing over the legal threats you receive from creditors to Boulder, usually to no avail. There will be police offers coming to your door to serve you papers saying you are being sued on accounts that Boulder said they would settle and you will feel hopeless and like dying. Then whatever small amount of money you may have in the bank will be taken by a lien on your account and you may have to attend court proceedings. This happened to me twice but I caught it the second time before getting sued and am paying the full debt plus court fees on my own, while Boulder still collects money from my account on a biweekly or monthly basis for their 鈥渟ervices鈥? After you have the lien on your account, you will pay an extra $100 on top of being sued to get your checking account back to zero. Then, because of the lien, the bank will make the account inactive for a long while. So what happens when Boulder goes in to get their next payment when the account is locked up? Well, you have to go and open up another checking account elsewhere with more money somewhere at a bank where your credibility is not tarnished and set up an auto draft from there instead. Later you will get 10-99 forms in the mail in order to pay back what Boulder 鈥渟aved鈥?you from paying on each settlement they do manage to actually follow through on. Don鈥檛 be surprised if they resettle the account numerous times because of the slackness of their staff not getting back to the creditors in time. I could go on and on about the headaches this company has caused me. If you like extreme stress and throwing thousands of dollars away only to end up with 7 more years of bad credit after they spend 5 or 6 years (or longer!?) charging you to ruin your credit, then this is the company for you! I hate this company鈥檚 evil practices. God will have vengeance on crooked people that rob others who are already struggling and anyone working for this company. Ignore the automated message that follows this. I can almost guarantee that a customer service rep will not follow up. They are interested in your money, not helping you. I was a single mother of two going through this and ended up having to borrow money from others on occasion just to keep my program going with them so they would not default on the supposed settlements. My advice : Don鈥檛 do debt consolidation with anyone. Call the creditors yourself and work it out. That will save you some money, time, and headaches.
UPDATE 4/5/2020: While none of the former is negated, I can at least say that leaving the program after nearly 5 years was fairly effortless and that the final service customer rep that I dealt with was kind and efficient. Also, out of 14 accounts, 9 were settled, though it did take a very long time. My final refund for opting out of the program came quickly as well.

I was advised that my credit debt would pay off in 4 years program by their negotiation. When I have had a few months of the final draft. They said that I had the last credit debt to settle. Finally, I ended up that I had to pay one more year. So, don鈥檛 trust what they advise you if you don鈥檛 have the legal contract for sure.

READ THE SMALL PRINT…. you have to file a 1099 with your taxes, for the money that is negotiated off your balance !!! No one tells you that. But, I鈥檓 sure if you complain you will be told it was in something you signed

Also, I never received anything saying I 鈥榞raduated鈥?this stupid program

Customer service is good but the responses and efficientness of closing cases is ridiculous.I've had my case open for over 3 years and they still have some open there's no reason that credit card companies want them open granted there is no interest it doesn't make sense why they're not settled. It's making my payoff time take longer cuz there's no settlement for my last few cards and it's frustrating.the price or quote that I was told at the beginning has veriey by thousands of dollars versus what it is now due to cases not being settled for years which I think is ridiculous.

4 years ago, I decided i wanted to consolidate debt as I had so many credit cards, so I signed up with Boulder Legal Group and they helped me save money by cutting down interest from my balances and got most of my credit card bills paid for 1/3 the cost it would have taken to pay them off myself. They drafted money from my checking account that went to a special savings account and when a settlement was reach with a creditor they paid monthly payments from my special savings account and you could add more if you wanted to speed up the process. The customer service team was very friendly and helpful whenever I called in with a question. I would recommend boulder legal group for debt relief

This was by far the worst decision we ever made. We have had nothing but problems since signing over 2 years ago. We have never missed a payment and yet we are now receiving wage garnishment letters from collectors that Boulder was supposed to be managing. A sheriff even showed up at my Mother's house to give us the notice of garnishment. Only one of our debts was settled and it only saved us 200 dollars. We are spending more on the service than we would have just by paying the debt off slowly. DO NOT USE THIS LEGAL GROUP. You are a number and nothing more. To boulder our client number is at the bottom. If I do not get a response I will be contacting a real lawyer.
In addition the little notice you see at the bottom of them wanting to make me happy…. yeah it's been 2 weeks with no further contact.
We have spoken with a real law firm. We found out that debt companies are a scam. Even if they settle for you the creditors can still come after you at a later time to collect the full amount. My husband and I have to file chapter 13 to stop the garnishment from happening. Do not use this company! You can not say you weren't warned.

I've had to call 3 times about closing my program. Still haven't "graduated" because something that was supposed to be taken care of 2 weeks ago has yet to be done. I gave 3 stars because the majority of my program was wonderful. Also, I did get sued by one of the creditors and they did take care of it without having me on the phone constantly. However, this last part needs improvement to get a full 5 stars.
