Covid-19 most of the other car park companies have closed there car parks machines due to covid-19
Sadly not Britannia car parks they close their machines so you can't put money in and then they charge you 拢60 to 拢100 for using their car parks
You can't use customer services because of covid-19 they have closed all the call centres down but then they're are expecting you to use the car parks in covid-19 with no cleaning gel
NOT HAPPY AND I HAVEN'T FINISHED WITH BRITANNIA CAR PARKS

I was only in the car park for about 20 minutes and the sign said there was no charge for the first 30 minutes. So I left quickly to ensure that I got back in time. I did not read the whole sign, but apparently I needed to get a ticket anyway. I have now received a 拢60 penalty (for NOT getting a "free ticket") which I must pay within 14 days or it increases.

RIP OFF company – What an unreasonable way to behave ! ! !

If I could give this so called Company zero stars I would. We received a PCN for being 13 minutes over our parking ticket due to a dying relative. My wife had to leave her dying mothers bed to move the car. Also as my wife was rushing to be by her mother's side and wanted to pay by card, she couldn't as the card machine was not working so used the spare change she had (better than nothing). Apparently Brittania Parking staff think it's appropriate to waste time walking around their car park to find an alternative machine to pay at such a stressful, upsetting time. Appealed to be charged more! No consideration whatsoever. Staff are like insensitive robots and management are clueless to reality. Hopefully COVID-19 will sink the business as that is what's needed. Poor appeals procedure, poor staff, poor payment facilities, poor management. Do not use, you will be ripped off.

This is a rip off company, they don't have any customer care and don't waste your time by dealing with them. Avoid using their parking sites. Run by a punch of crooks.

Had a business meeting at a hotel, gave details and regristration number to hotel reception so that as a guest of the hotel there would be no charges. Have had two unpleasant letters from Britannia Parking, despite the fact that the hotel has now told then twice that there should be no charge. Tried to ring Britannia but there is only one option to speak to someone and that option is simply not answered. They have caused stress and wasted my time, but doubt they could care.

They don鈥檛 deserve one star even. They are a bunch of crooks but why is trading standards letting them get away with this?
AVOID at all costs unless you love getting ripped off, in that case you won鈥檛 be disappointed.

Unfortunately Britannia parking seems to be symptomatic of the current trend to rip off travellers in UK.
We booked into one of their hotels, Roundhouse Bournemouth, which they also own as well as operate the parking which the hotel claimed was a 3rd party!! Firstly the carpark design and layout is ludicrous – the hotel is circular, so each parking space is a truncated wedge, with the narrow part where you enter, so every car, unless scrupulously centred is at danger of damage, and people were parking across 2 parks to be safe. Saturday night, we arrive at 9pm after travelling since 0930, check in and go to park the car. The hotel is full, and there are no spaces. I leave the carpark, inform reception. The parking ticket i get informs me i have been in there exactly 40 seconds over the free period. I appeal to Britannia, they have the evidence, the hotel and carpark were full, but they say the fine was properly issued, that i had parked (I never got to park) without paying!!
No grounds to appeal, says the robot which issued the notice – a human would have read the actual evidence.

The company should not be able to operate a service.

All of my e-mails/complaints regarding an unwarranted fine have been ignored.

A shocking company run by cowboys.

I was unfortunate enough to park in a car-park that was (badly) managed by Britannia Parking in Welling, Kent (Nags Head) in July 2018. My wife and I looked at the rather obscure parking notices as I have a Blue (Disabled) Parking permit and saw that I was entitled to park there free of charge as long as I displayed the Blue Badge and so I was totally gobsmacked when I got a demand from Britannia Parking for 拢100 a few weeks later due to 'Failure to make payment'. I contacted them immediately to explain that I had a Blue Badge which had been displayed and sent them a copy of this as evidence to be told that the sign 'clearly states' that I needed to provide my registration number to a member of staff too. I revisited the car-park and found that they had tacked this bit on in small print underneath the bit about Blue Badge holders being able to park free (I could barely read it and that was looking at the sign that was under a street lamp (they one near where we had parked was in a dark corner of the car-park'), I nonetheless apologised and offered to pay whatever the 'going rate' was for the 90 minutes I had parked there. There response was to set a debt recovery company on to me who demanded 拢160! I appealed (in the first instance you have to appeal to Britannia Parking themselves (who on earth is that supposed to be 'unbiased'?). They refused my appeal. I spoke to the assistant manager of the Nags Head (who informed me that he/they had 'no end of problems' with people being caught/harassed by Britannia Parking' who kindly emailed them to tell them to cancel the fine. They responded by… setting their solicitors on me and threatening to take me to court unless I paid them 拢180 immediately! They then took to calling me both and home and at work (I work in a hospital FFS) despite me writing to them to tell them to remove my details. I saw LOTS of BAD reviews from others too and so I also asked them to provide details of how many others had appealed, how many appeals were upheld and how much revenue they had made. They refused to provide ANY details. In the end I spoke to the general manager of the Nags Head and he personally contacted Britannia Parking who reluctantly now appear to have FINALLY cancelled the Parking Charge Notice (though I am by no means assured that they have as yet). Throughout this and the 20+ letters/emails, numerous calls and messages and threats they have acted arrogantly (I admit I made a mistake but they have deliberately made the 'small print' easy to miss for the sole purpose of trying to catch people like myself out) and with no consideration or empathy whatsoever. It is clear to me/many others that this is a company who's sole goal in life is to make money and they do not care how they make it. I sincerely hope that Trading Standards or similar close this despicable company down ASAP.

Their payment website doesn't work, and seems designed to ensure that you have to pay the full amount of the excessive fine imposed, rather than a discounted amount if payment is made within a certain time. Judging by other comments about this firm, it seems to be composed of a disreputable bunch of racketeers.

We used this company, don't make the same mistake! We waited more then an hour to receive our car back and we finally did there was damage to the bumper and alloy which they tried to cover up by changing details on the paper, our car was brand new and no damage whatsoever , we understand things happen but to try to cover it up it's disgusting, we were very upset and called and emailed the company many many times and no one ever returns our calls which s the most upsetting thing! They shouldn't be in business as they have terrible reviews which unfortunately we didn't see prior to our trip!

I like many other have had no response from the company following problems I had when parking my car with them in September.

When I collected my car on 15/9/14 there was a cigarette end in the driver's foot well and a smell of tobacco and cannabis in the car. The passenger seat was heavily stained with what looked like radiator fluid and a small burn.

I have telephoned their office on several occasions and have emailed them on two occasions, and on each occasion I was assured the manager would call me back. This has never happened and I have had no response to my emails.

I had been mistaken in thinking that this company was part of the Britannia Parking Limited company but on contacting the head office to complain about the Gatwick company I was advised that they have no connection to Britannia Airport Parking but were aware of numerous complaints.

I have been advised to contact Trading Standards and Watchdog regarding this and have contacted the Trading Standards office local to Gatwick Airport … I suggest if you are reading this because you have had problems that you do the same. Only by reporting this company through the proper channels can something be done.

If you are reading this review before booking – well done – you can now avoid a costly mistake !!

Stay away from this company. Our car was damaged (dented and scratched) and also when dropped off car was spotless – when returned it was filthy think they've tried to cover the damage with dirt. We also suspect car was used as mileage didn't add up. Despite promising to investigate we are still chasing. Nobody returns our calls. You have been warned.

We booked our parking through Britannia Airport Parking. On returning back to Gatwick, we waited 45 minutes for our car to arrive. When the guy eventually arrived and he handed us the keys, we noticed the car was absolutely covered in mud which we commented on to him and he just said we should send an email about it to the office to a Mr Khan. We explained that we had had the car washed and valeted that morning, so did not expect to see the car in this state. We took picture of the mess there and then. We sent numerous emails with the pictures to the email address that the guy had given us, but had no reply so eventually we called the office. We first spoke to a Mr Stanley, who said that Mr Khan was the manager and to call back to speak to him. This we did at least 7 times. Well, I am beginning to think that he does not exist, as he never answers his phone, or maybe the person who does and says that he is unavailable, is lying. Also, you need to be very careful as to what you leave in your car as things go missing! This was the first time that I used a Meet & Greet company, and I can assure you that it will certainly be my last with is company. In fact, I now have doubts about using Meet and Greet services in the future because of this experience. Please be advised, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY…

How ever this car comany is still allowed to trade is beond me!! We went away recently with my parents and we booked in two cars with easy park. On the way out it was ok, someone met us went around the car and made notes of any scratches, dents etc. the nightmare was when we got back, they were an hour late and blamed it on us (we called as they said 20 mins before) not only that we witnessed them driving people's cars appallingly! They were racing them around the car park with tyres screeching and hitting kerbs! Finally when our cars came back, my dad's (a brand new BMW) was covered in mud, but not only that it was badly damaged all on the passengers side!! When we tackled them about it the driver (who suddenly could not speak English!!!) tried to wipe off the dirt and tell us it was just mud! You could see it was badly dented. My husband took a photo of the drivers drivers licence and on the Monday he contacted the office, he spoke to a girl who was helpful and said put all photographs and details on an email (my dad had also got an estimate from BMW which was 拢900) we sent the email and now nothing!!!! Won't return calls, respond to email nothing! Police don't want to know they said it's out of their hands and we need to go through trading standards, which we are doing now! It's a complete nightmare and really put a huge dampener on our holiday. I just really hope that this appalling company will cease trading very soon, they are nothing but pure scum!!

Avoid like the plague.
Last time we had a 1 1/2 hour wait, because they'd lost our car. This time we had 1 hour's wait, because they'd messed up our collection date, AND they'd left the window open and we had standing water in the car.

BRITTIANIA MUST BE THE MOST DISGUSTING CAR MEET AND GREET COMPANY IN EXISTENCE. ON A RECENT TRIP TO EGYPT I BOOKED THIS COMPANY TO MEET AND GREET AT GATWICK SOUTH AND WHILST I WAS AWAY FULLY VALET MY CAR. I MADE THE TELEPHONE CALL AS INSTRUCTED (20 mins before arrival) AND THEN I HAD TO WAIT OVER 2 HOURS FOR SOMEONE TO ARRIVE AND COLLECT. DESPITE MANY TELEPHONE CALLS TO THE SUPPOSED CONTACT NUMBER I WAS GIVEN EVERY EXCUSE IN THE BOOK FOR THE DELAY STARTING WITH 'THE MAN WITH THE OFFICE KEYS HAD NOT TURNED UP FOR WORK SO THEY HAD TO BREAK IN', 'THERE WAS A SMALL FIRE IN THE OFFICE', 'THEY WERE ON THEIR WAY', NO REPLY TO SOME CALLS BUT BEST OF ALL WAS 'THE COLLECTION DRIVER HAD STOPPED FOR BREAKFAST!' – PHEW I MADE CHECK IN BY 30 MINUTES. ON MY RETURN I WAS AMAZED BRITTIANIA WERE WAITING FOR ME AND I THOUGH THAT WAS BECAUSE OF MY COMPLAINING ABOUT THE COLLECTION? BUT NO CHANCE DESPITE HAVING PAID EXTRA FOR A FULL VALET MY CAR OUTSIDE WAS COVERED IN BIRD MESS, DUST AND MUD, INSIDE APPEARED TO HAVE BEEN USED AS A MOBILE TIP, AND THE VEHICLE HAD COVERED SOME 26 MILES. I COMPLAINED INSTANTLY TO THE DELIVERY DRIVER AND GUESS WHAT HE DID NOT SPEAK ENGLISH, GAVE ME MY KEY AND LEGGED IT. DESPITE SEVERAL CALLS AND EMAILS TO THIS SUPPOSED COMPANY I HAVE HEARD NOTHING.
The most amusing thing about this supposed company which in my view is ignorant, infantile and most of its staff are incomprehensible is that their 'BOOKING SITE' only contais pretty good reviews NOT THE TRUTH

I was picking up my car last night, and I am still seething. I landed 22:45 and called them straight away as I had no checked luggage. 23:00 I was standing in the car park as advised. Half an hour later, no car. I call them, the barely-comprehensible person on the other end said "the driver forgot to take the key" and it would be another 20-25 minutes. Another 30 minutes later, no car. This time "the driver had picked up the keys and was going to the airport". Another 30 minutes later, still no car. This time, they refused to pick up my phone. I used a different phone and when they picked up, they claimed that the driver had been to the airport but had to go back (?!?). Next to me, another 2 sets of customers were swearing down their phone to … surprise, surprise, Britannia parking. They had been told "your battery is flat and we can't start the car". Which, of course, was also a bunch of lies. Eventually, two hours later, my car appeared on the ramp just as I was on the phone to Sussex police to report my car being stolen. No apology, no explanation, no compensation. What a bunch of lying twats – don't touch them with a barge pole. I'm surprised the Office of Fair Trading is still continuing them to operate. Or Gatwick management, for that matter.

have tried on numerous occasions to contact the manager Mr Stanley to be told he will ring me back. Guess what… im still waiting.
