Touring musician Joe Shugar stayed here while on tour, and had a great stay! The staff was very welcoming, even though it was so late, and the room was perfect. There was plenty of free parking, and they even had free laundry facilities which can really help keep the tour van feeling fresh!

I stayed here in preparation for a blizzard that was going to hit and I work at the airport so this is the closet hotel to the airport. The hotel parking lot and front entrance is a little wonky to get into. I missed the turn in and had to circle back around. The staff was present but gave the impression they didn't want to be there.

There is a sitting/business area in front of the check in desk and a tiny community area where there was a tv and snacks you could buy.

After check in I made my way to the second floor to my room. When I entered the smell of bleach was overwhelming. It burned my nose. On the other hand you know it was clean. But it was extreme.

I cut the tv on and found that the satellite tv was down and it remained down the entire stay. That was kinda terrible. There was a tv in the community room downstairs that was working fine and I asked the desk if all the other rooms were down and he explained they were. I didn't understand how the common area still had satellite and the rooms did not. Needless to say there was a lot of people in the common area.

The hotel is close to several places to eat, Buffalo Wild Wings and Applebee's are maybe 200 years from the hotel and the Fargo dome is adjacent to the hotel. In the fall the back parking lot is part leads into the NDSU tailgating area.

My rating reflects the overwhelming bleach smell and the fact there was no television satellite service in the rooms and there was no attempt to fix this.

Candlewood Suites Fargo provided us a cozy, quiet, comfortable and roomy stay! We arrived on a cold, rainy day and our room warmed up right away. The shower was nice and hot with good pressure. The front desk employee was the nicest, smiliest person and made us feel extra welcome! The hotel is located near plenty of restaurants, the highway, and a few miles from downtown Fargo. Right next to the front desk is a little room where you can buy food items to prepare in your suite & it's all decently priced. There were plenty amenities available for extended stays and families with children. A very accommodating hotel; we would definitely recommend and return!

We had an excellent experience at Candlewood Suites! Located directly across Buffalo Wild Wings and Applebee's, the hotels finds itself in a part of Fargo beneficial for those who stay at the hotel. Also, it sits to the right of the NDSU Research complex, really close campus. These two attributes makes a cool mix of quiet, relaxing solitude, if that's what you are looking for, or being just minutes from downtown (or a hop, skip, jump from popular restaurants), an interesting time on the town. The hotel has 24-hour store, full kitchens in the rooms, and an excellent workout faculty. All in all, this stay was 5 stars!

I was only there for a might, bit was very comfortable. The room was very large. Clean and cozy. It even had a fully furnished kitchen. The staff was very friendly. The hotel also offers a "borrow" option for board games and small appliances. The hotel also has a great commissary with just about every thing you'll need. The prices are even comparable to a regular store.

What a great stay!
I arrived late and was cheerfully greeted by the overnight desk worker. There was so much space in the entrance/office area I wish I had more energy to get work done but I headed right to bed. Such a nice new room with accommodating hospitality. Clearly new sheets and towels and we were allowed a complimentary late check out which was much appreciated to enjoy the comfortable room a little longer. Comfy beds, safe parking, great water pressure; the perfect combo!

This place was awesome. The staff was incredibly kind, even letting us check in an hour early and check out an hour late. Really spacious rooms with super high ceilings. The beds were really comfy and the shower water pressure and temperature was just right. Watkins shower products – always choice. On top of all this, the hotel offers free DVD rental and free laundry. All in all, would definitely stay again and would recommended to everyone.

The suites are nice and fully equipped with two cooking burners, microwave, and large refrigerator (not a dinky table one). Staff is friendly and prompt to attend to your needs. This place is right at the edge (it appears) of the North Dakota State University campus. It's literally a 3 min drive to the Fargo airport. There is a "dangerous" snack room where they sell 7-11 type snacks and foods so be careful for late junkie munchies lol. They also sell fruit, oatmeal, canned soup, toiletries, drinks, and have complementary tea and coffee. You ca. Also check out and use some smaller appliances (bullet blender) and DVDs.

I am giving a bad review, for this place because they are awful. I would not recomend staying here if it was long term due to the fact that they are consistant in making sure that there is noise while you are tyring to sleep. I brought my dog here thinking that they were "dog friendly" however they are not dog friendly, if your dog has an accident they go above and beyond to be certain that you feel awful for it. The front desk is drimminatory toward people of different outlooks. Michelle the manager is nice at first but is a snake in the grass. When it comes to certain situations, she constantly complains about the guests to her staff, making it very uncomfortable ffor those to stay here, on friday and saturday they have a bunch of drunk people staying there for the NDSU games, in the living room they are super nice people, but they allow them to tail gate down stairs, i highly do not recomend this place for any travelers, their front desk people with the exception of very few, are rude, and arrogant. Its like walking on egg shells be around them. as soon as you complain they bad mouth you to their entire staff and than the staff stop talking to you. its very ridiculous for the costs, you can go stay somewhere else with MUCH more things that you can have.

This place was really nice and homey. Our standard room included a full size fridge, a small to medium kitchen equipped with an oven, microwave, plates, silverware, etc. We had a desk with a roll chair, a lazy boy, an HD television, iron and board, and more than enough drawer space. The staff is friendly just like the rest of the town. They even have free transport to and from the Fargo airport. Awesome. The only thing they're missing is a pool, but it's too cold for that anyway.

The staff at this location provided great service to my coworker and myself. They were very helpful in providing restaurant recommendations, and processed our rooms and tax-exempt status with little trouble (unusual for our organization/booking service). The television in my suite was broken; it appeared that someone had pushed the buttons in so far that they fell through into the inside of the TV set. I tried to tinker with it on my own with no success so called down to the front desk. I wish I could remember the staff member's name because she was incredibly helpful and accommodating. She immediately offered to relocate me to a new room, and came up to see if she could fix the TV when I declined. We tried for a little while with no success and she again offered to move me to a new room free of charge. I took the broken TV as a sign that I should actually get some work done instead of wasting the evening, so I stayed in the room, but she was very insistent that if I changed my mind at any point they would be pleased to resituate me.

Overall the hotel was lovely, just what you'd expect from a nice Candlewood suites. My coworker and I awoke well rested and ready to take on the day.

OK, 5 stars is for the staff, but after staying here for a week while working on a state senate campaign, I got to loving my sweet suite too.

Heather, Mary, Marie, Katie, Nathan, Cole – the list goes on of really nice people working here. Tho I travelled alone, I was never without a friendly face to give me directions, heads up, etc. Nice touch too, Wednesdays is a VSN – very special night. I'm not going to give it away, just make sure your stay includes a Wednesday.

Great exercise room, free washer/dryer (bring your own suds), right across from the airport and the Fargo Air Museum. Did I mention North Dakota has 2.2% unemployment rate? Met a person from Rhode Island coming to work in the state.
Also right next to the North Dakota State University campus. I was there on a game day and the enthusiasm of the NDSU folks rivals Broncos! Course, college versus pro is a factor.

Healthy breakfasts (free) but check the hours – different during the week from the weekend, refrigerator, stove and microwave in the room with all the kitchen
gadgets you'd need to cook a meal, really comfy bed (hate to say it's better than mine at home) and CLEAN! J.M. nailed it with the "small side" but as a smallish person, felt just right for me.

Mark L really gave a thorough review and I'm not going to repeat all he said, suffice it to say we agree on all the amenities. Since I lost my cell phone after the 3rd day,
the free computer in the business center was a real plus!

Just came in for one night. Kate at the front desk was pleasant and cheerful on a miserably cold and blustery afternoon.

Room was on the small side for a "suite", but it was clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. Big cable selection and reasonably fast free wi-fi. Shower pressure a but low, but immediate hot water. Had to leave before breakfast, but the "cupboard" had a large selection to buy on the honor-system. Stay away from the packaged danish – it was nasty. Threw it away and heated up a frozen jimmy dean breakfast sandwich instead.

I stayed here for approximately 7 weeks from March to May 2010. I have a traveling job, and since I do like to cook for myself fairly often and pocket some extra Per Diem coin, this place suited me initially when I booked my arrangements. I didn't know what to expect exactly when I realized it is on the University Campus. At best: cute college girls in the area, or at worst: constant noise from rowdy kids?

The answer was neither actually. The Hotel is on the extreme far end of the campus, away from all the hub bub which makes for a nice quiet stay. I considered changing hotels after a few days because the water pressure in the shower was not to my liking. I mentioned it at the front desk, and after i got home from work that day maintenance had gone in, replaced the shower head and viola problem solved. This was one reason I decided to give them my business for the long haul. The entire staff was excellent from management to the house keeping personnel.
Always very friendly & helpful.

Now to the room…nice looking kitchen area with pretty much all the equipment you would need to prepare yourself a meal. If the kitchen doesn't have it, call the front desk they might have a loner (i.e. corkscrew bottle opener). Fridge freezer had an ice maker. Pots/pans/utensils all in good condition. The decor of the room isn't spectacular, but they do have lazy-boy recliners and that sure is a nice touch for trying to make a person feel "at home" for an extended stay. TV was an old 27 inch, but the rooms all have DVD players, and internet hookups. I thought the bed was very comfortable (i'm known to have occasional lower back pain) so this was great. I actually woke up every day feeling good & eager to go outside to 30 degree weather (okay, not so much).

One downside to the basic studio rooms are that it can feel slightly cramped after a while, and the storage space is limited in the kitchens. I was upgraded to a larger room for only $10/more per night and was much happier thanks to the large kitchen table/pantry space & separate bedroom (with TV). Also, the rooms are only made-up/cleaned once a week for extended stayers. But if you can manage to shower daily, and not track in mud all over the room, i think this should be fine for most people.

When I stayed there they had a free continental breakfast promotion going. Upon checkout they asked me to review it, because it was a trial period & the company was deciding whether or not to keep it up. Not sure if they still have this. They have a fitness room, "business center", and a laundry room all accessible 24/7.

Environment: one side of the hotel is bordered by a street, the other side by a HUGE field which also borders the Fargo Dome. The other 50% is your parking lot. Police patrol this area frequently for those of you concerned with safety. This is the closest hotel to the local airport ( approx 5 minutes). There is a Taco Bell, Apple bee's, Buffalo Wild Wings (cute girls @ this one for sure) & McDonald's very close by. A little further down the road is a place called Grand Junction (mmmm good subs). There is also a very nice sized liquor store near by as well. They have a nice assortment of bottles (maybe not as great as somewhere in L.A., but still good) local beers (some of which are quite good) and a large wine selection.

Overall, I enjoyed my stay here. It was far enough away from "downtown" Fargo, and still close enough to get most essentials. For the money you pay, this is a great value.
