Don't bother going anywhere near this company! 95% that comes out of his mouth is pure lies. Bought an X5 off him last year and unfortunately wrote it off leaving me injured. He offered to buy it back in September last year which I let him. He then asked for the V5 saying he would send off the yellow slip to the DVLA. That would have given me 2 months road tax refund. I was in no fit state to sort this out. The refund didn't come and went back to him to ask him about this. He said he had sent it back to the DVLA but they're probably busy. I must've gone back a dozen times and in the end it was the DVLA's fault. They were to blame! A couple of months went by and suddenly I got a fine from the DVLA stating that I hadn't paid road tax for the X5 for December. I contacted the DVLA who told me the car was still in my name! He then went and sold the car in January this year, no doubt NOT mentioning that it was a Cat-C or Cat-D as the car was an insurance write off. I asked him again when he sent off the info to the DVLA he said he did when he sold the car, thus contradicting himself saying that he had sent off the yellow slip back in September. For a couple of weeks he has promised to pay the 拢80 fine but guess what? He didn't coming up with numerous excuses, non of them his fault. Today I called one final time and the young bloke working with him answered: "He's in A&E". I then asked when he would be back: "Don't know, I'll ask him to call you back". I decided to go over straight away as it was my lunch break. Workmen out front told me they had just gone out in 2 cars. Miraculous recovery? Or just again another LIE! Callback is something that never happens unless there's something in it for him. My main worry is now the poor buyer that bought the X5, who is probably driving around uninsured because the car was not reported as Cat-C or Cat-D to their insurance company. If you are out there or if anyone else knows the registration it's: RJ53 YHB. I'll be happy to provide any information regarding this.

Although we had a difficult time with this company, it is only fair to say something positive, perhaps to redress the balance somewhat. Carl has been true to his word and has repaid every penny that he owes us. He promised me that he would get the money to me as and when he could and having made several payments into my account, it means that he has now done so. He always answered my calls (even though he knew I would rant!) and did genuinely try to sort things out (and he eventually succeeded). I hear that he has had a difficult time of it recently so thank you Carl and best wishes for the future. I hope that the company gets back onto a steady footing ….and I don't rule out buying a car from Carl again in the future.

BEWARE ALL. Warranties are worthless as he doesn't register them. He has been doing this for a long time and getting away with it….. goes bankrupt when gets too many CCJ's so doesn't have to pay. Lives in big house in GU46. Good luck.

CN Motors / Car nation Motor Company / whatever else they like to refer themselves as have to be possibly the worst car dealership I have ever dealt with.
Having purchased a used 56 plate Peugeot 206 from them in June 2016 we have had nothing but issues ever since.
When we purchased the car, having looked at the paperwork we discovered there had previously been an oil leak with the car. We were assured time and time again that this issue had been fixed and were even shown paperwork to suggest so.
This was far from the truth. After about a fortnight the car started leaking oil, and not just a little bit, our entire driveway was covered in oil.
We took the car to our local reputable garage to be told that the car had a serious head gasket issue. The garage advised we could spend 拢500 on the head gasket to attempt to solve the problem but this may only be the start as they wouldn't know the extent of the damage until they attempted to fix it. If further problems were found (which was highly likely according to them) it would cost approx. a further 拢800 to fix. We only paid 拢1000 for the car in the first place.
After this we managed to contact Carl and he took the car back to 'repair' it on two seperate occasions. Neither of these times was the oil leak even remotely fixed. The only thing that was done was a lightbulb in one of the near lights was changed.
After these two occasions Carl stopped taking calls and various other 'employees', who sounded suspiciously like Carl, started to answer the phone stating he wasn't in the office and they would pass the message along. This never happened.
Having attempted to get hold of Carl multiple times on the phone we ended up writing letters to inform him of our findings and requested that he do something to fix it having known there was a fault when he sold it. This letter was sent one 1st Dec 2016.
It has taken him until today (end of March 2017) to come and take the car away and give us 拢300.
拢300 for a car that cost us 拢1000 and has never worked the way it should have!
Absolute rip off merchants! Avoid at all costs!

Car purchased with various issues. It went back a few times for a fix, but what ever they did it didn't solve it. I have had 2 garages confirm that the car has a head gasket issue and should be scrapped. This was not diagnosed when the car went back to Carl. As these was clearing the same issue Carl advised me to put it in writing. After no response to the first letter and second letter (in which Igave them a month to reply), I called and Carl said he only just got the letter…4 weeks after sending it, blaming the Christmas post. He said he would review…then nothing back again ao I rang to be told Carl would ve back in tomorrow….he never was.

I managed to get hold of a woman who was 'looking after the phone' because Carl wasnt in. She said she would get him to call me the next day…it never happened.

My car will prob be scrapped next week because it has packed up.

Long story short –
Feb 2016 – purchased an S Type Jaguar from C N Motor Company (or Car Nation Motor Company) Bracknell, Berkshire.
Drove the car home on the day of purchase. Got half way home and the car burst into flames trapping me inside.
Luckily i managed to get out. Road was closed for 9 hours, police and fire fighters attended and the incident hit National News headlines. The car of course is non salvagable.

Contacted Carl or Karl of Car Nation Motor Company to be told it was nothing to do with them and they would not be refunding my money.
Also noted they had illegally sold me the car as spares or repairs (he wrote this on the invoice after signing for the car and paying}
Contacted trading standards (in Berkshire) who paid him a visit but resulted in a no further action outcome.
Took legal advice, then filed through the courts for a warrant of execution, also resulting in Car Nation Motor Company being given a CCJ.
March 2017, just over a year since this incident happened i have still not had my money back and now i find out the website has dissapeared and the company telephone number no longer exists.
My bailiff is visiting there again later this week and my guess is he'll find empty premises. I will update once i know.
I urge anyone to contact Trading Standards in Bracknell, Berkshire about this company if you too feel you have been scammed in some way.

Carl is trading unfairly and C N Motors will be closing end of February or March 2017 so beware of your warranty .You will find details on the Bracknell Forest website about redevelopment plans on the car lot . Tell your story to Trading Standards.

Car Nation Motor Company (CN Motors) are based in Warfield near Bracknell.

This is by far, the worst second hand car company I've dealt with.

Back in August 2016 I purchased an Audi 2.0 TDi. It needed some cleaning up as "it had only just come in" which I was happy with. I took it for a test drive and all seemed ok. There were a few points which I noted down and I was promised by Karl would be fixed. Nothing major though.

A week later the minor problems were fixed so I paid the remaining money on the car and took it home. After around 3 days of driving I noticed two problems – the heater didn't work at all and whenever I put my foot down to over take, or go up a small hill, the car would go into "limp mode" which meant no power. I had to pull over, turn the car off and then the engine management light would clear and I would have normal power again. This happened constantly and was incredibly dangerous when trying to go around a hazard on the road and then suddenly have no power. Car could not be used on a motorway at all. Turned out the problem was related to the turbo.

So I took the car back to have the turbo, heater and few other minor things fixed. They had the car two weeks. I picked the car up on the Saturday and fully tested it on the Sunday. The heater still didn't work (and was making odd noises now) and the turbo problem hadn't been fixed at all.

At this point I demanded either a full refund or a reliable replacement. I was offered a automatic BMW which I accepted on the basis I could test drive it for a few days before making a final decision,

I eventually received the car to test drive after two more weeks. It was awful. It lacked power, the driver side rear electric window didn't work (it just made a grinding sound and I had to force the window close with my hands), the road handling was awful. I'm used to driving BMW's and this thing was the worst thing I've ever driven.

By this point I had had enough. I requested a full refund which Karl accepted and said he would process. I chased this up twice a week, for 3 weeks, and was getting no where.

Finally, I had to get legal advice and I'm in the process of this now.

In addition, I was given various "spare" cars to use while both the Audi and BMW was in for repairs. The problems with these spares included: flat battery, rear exhaust falling off, jumping out of gear, rear lights not working (illegal) and other fun things. I eventually had to hire a car from another company just so I could get to work each day.

IMPORTANT NOTE: as of 2nd February 2017 CN Motors website is down and their Autotrader profile has been deleted. I checked to see if they were still open for business in Warfield and they were (for now). I strongly believe they are about to close up shop and would highly recommended not buying from them OR, if you have, try and get a full refund now as they, likely, won't be around much longer.

***UPDATE:***
After 3 months of trying to get a refund, I've had to raise a Small Cliams case against them and will also be reporting them to Trading Standards.

Bought a Renault Meagne on 18/10 and still today (almost 2 months later) CN motors in Bracknell have not informed DVLA about a change of ownership, in addition the battery was swapped out before delivery, the new battery doesn't even hold charge for a day. Rear right tyre has puncture. And rear right brake light is not working. Avoid CN motor in Bracknell
