I had a pre-paid booking for three weeks hire in June which I had to cancel on the 14th of March, the refund was in my bank account the very next day!
Well done Centauro, in these troubled times you excelled. Always top service to your customers.

Pick up at the airport, drop off at the airport, could not be easier. I booked in advance and they were expecting me with keys ready and a rep to show me to the car. 4th time with them and service always top rate. "I'll be back".

Received terrible service from a young gentleman in Centauro M谩laga.
Very aggressive and threatening behaviour when we opted again taking out their excess waiver. I had insurance with booking.com. He told us that booking.com can't be trusted and I will lose my 1050 Euros, no matter what.

BEWARE CENTAURO CAR HIRE RIP OFF: We just returned our car after a weeks uneventful car hire from Alicante Airport. When we returned the car at the airport the Centauro Car Hire representative literally got on his hands & knees under the front bumper and stated he was charging us 142鈧?for a small (he described it to us as minor) scuff which appeared smaller than the 3 finger width allowance permitted in the contract (we took photographs) & which was actually UNDER the bottom rim of the bumper skirt that must have been there when we picked it up (in pitch darkness at around 9.30pm at night). We have hired our car from Centauro Car Hire virtually every time we have visited Spain to stay at our holiday home over the last 12 years but have never ever got on our knees and checked under the car for pre- existing unrecorded faults before driving off on arrival. The car had six existing serious defects all noted on the paperwork and presumably all paid for by previous hirers and recouped similarly (but never actually fixed!!). We asked for the representative鈥檚 name when we objected to the charge and apart from 'Juan' (John-really??) he refused to give it. Astonishingly, today my husband has received a bill not for the 142鈧?as we were warned but for 225鈧?for a small scuff !! We had taken out extra no-excess to pay top up insurance from our car hire agent & are therefore covered to recoup these charges (Centauro are aware of this-read what you will into that) so it is not as if we are simply resentful out of pocket customers venting our anger here. We are just absolutely appalled at the way Centauro Car Hire have behaved trying to rip us off with charges they have subsequently inflated by an extra 50% less than 24 hours later. In our view they are quite simply scamming innocent punters. We will never trust Centauro Car Hire again and certainly won鈥檛 be hiring from them when we return to our house in Spain on our next trip. We never file reviews usually and could just sit back and say 'well we are covered by our insurance anyway' and let it drop but we both feel so annoyed by this sharp practice rip off behaviour that we feel we should warn as many other customers as possible.

Very good experience. I opted for full coverage. Guess that is the only way to go. I got a 3-year-old black Vw Golf since the office in Alicante did not have newer model at the time. But I liked the anonymous feel of a little car that did not use much gas and had the usual basic tech such as usb charge and Bluetooth working very well.

I am extremely disappointed that Centauro have taken an excess payment for damage to the car without advising me first. I can 100% assure you this damage was not done while I had the car. It was either done prior to me collecting and was either missed on last inspection or done since I dropped it off. I understand I should have thoroughly checked the car myself before driving off, I did have a walk round but didn鈥檛 notice it considering the photo looks like the damage is on the sill. I also note I got no refund for returning with full tank of fuel, I have a photo of the fuel gauge and the mileage and time to prove it. I won鈥檛 be using Centauro again, I recently received notification of gold membership status. Please remove me from this. I will be making my grievance public as I think it is shocking. There wasn鈥檛 a panel on that car that wasn鈥檛 damaged when I picked it up.

I use them all the time as have a place in Mallorca. This time my flight was delayed by and hour and spent that time trying to call them to forewarn them of my delay. Having had no luck when we did arrive they had shut shop and left me stranded with no other option but to get a 90鈧?taxi to my apartment. This of course was another 90鈧?the following day to collect the car.

My troubles did not end here as when I returned they tried to scam me about some marks on the car that I could hardly see. This was a scam as the guy checking my car said he would sign the paper work with no damages for 100鈧? I walked off as could not believe what was happening and what's worse when I contacted centauro to report the guy they have never even replied. How many poor people have been had by this company and being I had no response I assume they are aware it's going on.

Be very careful when booking with them. Has for me never again!

Further to my previous complaint, I have now been informed that my fuel payment will not be returned because they are using it to pay for cleaning the car. I am disgusted with this. They claim the car was dirtier than normal. I went to the beach once and there was a bit of sand in the boot. We did not make any long distance trips and had no bad weather. I cannot believe that a company in Costa Blanca (a seaside resort area) is charging me 56 euros for cleaning a sandy boot! Absolutely outrageous. I have been going regularly to this area in Spain for 15 years and have never been charge for cleaning a car. It really does feel like a scam. I will not be using this company again and suggest that you look around for alternatives.

Do not use them, you will regret it. It's a tricky company trying to take advantage of you in any possible way. I booked a car with full to full fuel regulation. But they charged my card with a real sale, not just blocking amount for fuel tank. What a cheaters they are

Having dealt with some very dodgy car hires we find Centauro excellent. They have good quality cars for a very reasonable price and are very fair in their dealings.
The only down side is the length of the queues and the return depot at Alicante is very dark and cramped, not a big criticism.

All went well. Even the new system of having to wait for the assessment of the car upon return to the airport.

My only gripe was that upon arrival the new system where one signs in to an electronic screen and is issued a "ticket/number" was ignored by the counter staff.
Given that the six or seven service counters are on a corner and therefore difficult to monitor for both staff and customers I expected either my number to flash up or be called out. While I stood waiting another customer simply walked to an empty counter and was given assistance immediately without having "signed in" nor having been challenged by staff regarding who was next in line.

Got car in end Aug for 2 weeks not car I wanted but no prob, brought back no mark on it, full to top with fuel. Now 3 weeks later they are taking funds from account and no ans from email and phoned no one had English ??
