They say send an email to them in all of their replies to negative reviews. I have not received any reply from this email address they have provided. This complaint will go to PayPal if no one resolves my issue. Terrible business – do not buy from this website. They have horrible customer service and no transparency. They also use generic responses for each negative review – pathetic. The BBB will be hearing about this.

The watch came in a brown box, with original Orient packaging inside it, along with a manual and international warrantee card.
I have given them 4 stars for this for two reasons:
– The website does mention that it ships from Singapore (which is not easily seen, but it is there nonetheless), in typical times, I guess it would take 7-10 days for the watch to reach. I will give them the benefit of doubt due to COVID and current timelines it is taking.
– I personally feel they should do a better job of communicating, including providing updated timelines for shipments on their website. They provide free shipping, which means they will NOT use premium courier services, which could have resulted in faster delivery. However, they should provide that as an option at check-out. This may have given them more positive feedback from customers. Now that you have a few cases of delivery, I recommend to communicate the timelines with new customers.
I am just happy that my watch has finally arrived and in working condition. For those who are still waiting, wishing you luck, so that it arrives soon!

as mentioned, if they would have just been honest and stated, ''your watch will arrive but it could be a fair bit of time. I would have accepted that explanation instead of, ''cut and paste'' your watch will arrive shortly etc..

For all others waiting….. it just might arrive! by the time I started to see a change on Canada Post tracking, it was at my door in 4 days.

During my wait they sent me emails regarding late delivery. I accept COVID-19 as the reason for Singapoor Mail not being able to deliver quickly.
Please do not hesitate to order from CityWatches – they are real, competitive and 1st class.

I had purchased a watch back on April 11th, and like many of the recipients below, I was quite miffed with the unrealistic expectations and lack of response from the company. It had indicated 7-10 business days; by May 17th, I had lost all hope. Singpost had the watch in their possession since that of April 14th, and it wasn鈥檛 dispatched until May 18th to Canada. Canada Post, had the item in their possession since that of May 20th (as waiting for item) and the delivery process cycle began June 13th.
With that said, I don鈥檛 believe the company aka city watches are the correct people to blame as both couriers – Singpost & Canada Post caused the delivery delay. I鈥檝e ordered many things as well, and each item has taken anywhere 2 weeks to 2 months to arrive; international longer.
To City Watches: There鈥檚 three things you can learn from all this, and this is as follows…1. State realistic expectations on your website, to avoid all negative comments below 2. Make sure, when items are being shipped, that a tracking number is automatically sent out (instead of people inquiring within) 3. Either give Sally a raise or hire more people to answer emails more efficiently.
In the end, I have received the watch today (June 16, 2020) and it鈥檚 beautiful! It鈥檚 in its original packaging and everything – he鈥檚 going to love it! I can鈥檛 even be mad because these were unforeseen circumstances and completely understandable (my previous review didn鈥檛 indicate that – but whatever lol). Hence, why you received five stars now!
I will most likely purchase from City Watches again. 🙂

STAY AWAY FROM THEM….

1: My watch has arrived, which took just under a month.
2: It is in its Original Orient Box as requested.
3: It is a Japanese movement, not Malaysian and I'm more than happy with the packaging and presentation.
4: The Guarantee came with the watch, stamped by RSL Watch Dealers. I don't know if Orient will honour the Guarantee but I have no reason to think they won't.
It's such a shame I allowed my initial experience to generate so much negativity in me towards CityWatches, which I splurged all over my initial review.
Basically, I withdraw all my grievances and I am very pleased with my purchase.

It is now June, and have received nothing. Customer service is pathetic, and singpost is absolutely useless.
If I had known that this god forsaken shop was in Singapore, I would not have purchased. I buy Canadian to support Canadian businesses. This really pissed me off.
You got me this time, Bravo, but you will never, ever, ever ever ever, get my money again. Lesson learned whether I get my watch or not.

P.S I truly wish there was a half star option for rating or zero star option. The one star is a higher standard than what they provided.

I've ordered products from Malasia, China, and Singapore, because this is where this zero rating company keeps its products, NOT CANADA, and I have recieved my chinese products, and , malasian products, but the backwards CITYWATCHES, the fake canadian site, has taken 3 MONTHS, AND STLL NOTHING,
you want to reply to my complaint, use a valid excuse, not a lazy statement to hide behind. We're all dealing with the covid issue, but you are using it to be lazy!!!! Fix this or get a real JOB!!

I raised a ticket with PayPal in regards to this and so now we will see.
Interesting thing I noticed is if I entered tracking number on CW site before, it showed ORDER COMPLETE. Since I contacted PayPal, it now reads ON HOLD. That's pretty quick for a company that doesn't respond to emails though.
I will update on what happens.
My advice to anyone, order at your own risk.
UPDATE…June 9th
City watches replied and is blaming the delay on transportation issues due to Covid. Once I raised concern though Paypal, they were contacted by Paypal. Now my order went from COMPLETE to ON HOLD. They ask me to be patient and assure me I will get my watch but how can that happen if my order is on hold? They won't respond to questions about what is happening. Unless I get the watch, this review will remain.
UPDATE…June 17
Canada Post has received the package and it was sent out for delivery scheduled for June 15 by end of day. It is now June 17 and still no watch. Tracking shows sent out for delivery but date is now pending and no date scheduled.

I finally received the watch. Now I don't know if this was a result from PayPal giving them a deadline for delivery because of my resolution case or it was scheduled that way.

Was contacted by 鈥淜athy鈥?who is trying to resolve the situation by offering another watch. Since they reached out, haven鈥檛 heard anything to my response in days. Wouldn鈥檛 trust this company at all. Avoid.

Such a horrible corporation. They should be ashamed, especially since they are selling on .ca.
Covid impact is understandable. However, there are hundreds of ecomm companies deliver their products timely and most importantly committed to what they put on their website in terms of timelines.

It clearly states under shipping that it ships from their Singapore Warehouse.
That being said, I purchased a watch March 25th, they say 7 to 10 day shipping and it actually didn't get "dispatched overseas" until April 13th, since then Canada Post is still waiting for the package, my tracking hasn't moved at all, I sent them an email last night, still have yet to get a response. I understand that due to covid-19 shipping is going to be delayed I'm still hoping my watch shows up. Will change my rating if it does, fingers crossed

I contacted them May 13th see if my package had even left Singapore yet and received this response back:

It's now June 23rd and it has finally arrived!! In original packaging ( undamaged) with tags, looks beautiful, and runs perfect. Thanks city watches! Will purchase from them again, just not during a pandemic, hahaha!!!! As promised I have bumped my 1 star rating to 5 stars, yes their comunication could be better but delivery issues was not their fault or could they have foreseen the issues that everyone is having. Everyone that is still waiting, be patient, it will be worth the wait!

No matter how many questions or concerns, they will send copy and paste messages saying they are working on it. No offer of actual help. Most awful is that they will delete your comments on any platform they can – Instagram, Facebook, etc. Rather than give good customer service, they simply delete posts. I am posting this here because at least they will not be able to delete it.
A shameful company in all ways. So many of us waiting for watches that will never come, no refunds given. They seem to be out to take your money and nothing else.
