I joined a Connecting Threads Block of the Month subscription because I'm totally new to quilting and it advertised a Facebook group for support. I tried the main FB group – no response. I tried FB messenger- got bot response with phone number. I called phone number & person couldn't help me. I asked what else I could do. She suggested an email. I got the following response:
Thank you for contacting us.
I have looped in our Department heads for review. I am sure it was on their list to accomplish.
Thank you kindly,

Same number I had called. Clearly only into sales and uninterested in customer support.

I've ordered from them several times (thread) and have received my orders in a timely manner. Their thread is what I pretty much solely use now – great quality for the price. They have good sales on fabric too and I've not had a problem with anything I've sewn with it. I'll keep ordering from them.

It has been a month since I placed my order and it has not arrived. I have contacted this company TWICE with NO reply. Do not purchase from them!

Their fabric is not worth the wait when they charge your credit card the day it ships and they continue sending it via postal service that takes two weeks to get from Georgia to Alabama. And they send you an email that they will respond to your concerns – but never get back to you. I am still waiting for second order. First went to wrong address because their shipping label was so faded!

I placed an order of almost $500 on their site. One item was a sewing machine which was shipped from the manufacturer and no problem with that. The other two items were a quilt kit and some rotary blades. They divided the order (I assume because the machine was shipped direct). So I waited … and waited for the other items. Check their site and it said those items were processing. Another week goes by and it says shipped but no notification from them so I wrote to ask for tracking info. No response. Another week goes by I write again. No response. Two more weeks, two more emails, still no response. I could NOT get them to respond to my simple questions of when and how it was shipped nor get any tracking information. They did not even acknowledge my emails. Finally after 5 weeks and no communication from them, I filed a Pay Pal claim for the charges. They haven't responded to Pay Pal either. I complained on their Facebook site and they said they were very busy and behind on their emails. 5 weeks behind? I run a small business and if a customer has a question or problem we respond the same day … and we send a shipping notice with tracking information for every order we ship. There is no excuse for that kind of negligent customer service. If you can't answer an email in 5 weeks, maybe you should just give it up.

after ordering an EverSewn Sewing Starter Kit from Connecting Threads – i was so excited! It had pretty much all the basics i needed without having to comb the internet in a panic. when i called to confirm my order, the operator was kind, knowledgeable and didn't judge my lack of internet skills' 🙂 They shipped the order at 6am the next morning- & it came in two days. two days! i was thrilled. but! when i opened the box and reached for what would be my very first pair of fabric shears' (i had already announced – no one TOUCHES these!) i was dumbfounded… they were made of plastic, they were unbalanced, and by god- they barely cut thru pApeR. utterly crushed, i called Connecting Threads- i thanked them for their swift & kind service – but then weepingly explained the scissors. they should be ashamed of themselves,' jamie from CT said, sympathizing. i thought – wow, she gets it. but i didn't know where to go from there. i mean, i'm not gonna return the whole box, so… ? jamie was nonplussed. "search for scissors' on our site." hm…ok.. "do you see (insert fancy scissor name here)?" me-> …….yeah….?' "would those be good as a replacement ..?" i couldn't believe it. i explained to jamie that they weren't comparable – that the scissors that came with the kit probably cost 3$ – she brushed it aside. "do you like these?" … like them?! they were beautiful! She said they would replace the scissors and they were sorry. it wasn't even their fault! I am beyond impressed with Connective Threads. Over the moon, if you will. During this time of such uncertainty and fear, their unexpected kindness and willingness to help filled me with joy and a new hope for humanity. 'Connective Threads-' not just a name…its a promise. they actually know how to make us feel it 🙂 Thank you CT, thank you Jamie. be safe, everyone xoxo

i ordered 3 times and had nothing but issues: Short yardage, long shipping times, and low quality fabric. i specifically ordered 4 yards of their white fabric that i had started a project with and it was short 1 yard 2" how do you not know how to measure out 4 yards. I certainty was charged for 4 yards. Now I'm wondering if they short yardage on my previous order of white fabric and that's why i ran out, as i should have had plenty.
I had to reorder and the orders take a long time to get shipped. I have another package that i have not opened yet and wondering if that's short also. The white is fraying so bad, I'm hoping that it will hold up for a bit until i make other with quality fabric. I emailed the company yesterday and have not received a response. I will stick with fabric.com instead.
i am not shopping here ever again.

I have placed two orders with Connecting Threads. First order shipped on the 4th day and the jelly roll had knicks cut into the folds. I had to replace several strips.
This order I placed on Wednesday and it is now Tuesday and it has not shipped. Instead of apologizing for the delay I was given several excuses as to why my order hasn't shipped in 6 days and is still not ready to ship. They are behind!!
Every other online quilt shop I order from, I receive my goods in three to five days. Connecting Threads needs to change their statement that they ship in 1-2 business days and learn how to handle customer complaints as it appears they receive many. Learn to say you are sorry and you will take care of the problem.

Have been ordering from Connecting Threads for several years, have always gotten my orders in a timely manner, the few times my order was wrong, it was dealt with promptly and with courtesy. Have had no issues with either fabric or precuts. But when you order by fat quarters be careful as you do have the option of getting linar foot also. This is nice if you need a little extra on strips. Been very satisfied.

Sewists and quilters can buy good quality fabric and thread for reasonable prices, especially on one of their frequent sales. Everything arrives packaged well and in fast enough time. They also sell books, tools and kits.

I placed two orders recently. The time to get the orders took forever. And once I did get then I was really disappointed in how the fabric had been packaged and cut. The fabric was inside out and jammed in to small plastic bags so was very wrinkled. The "kit" I got was also jammed in a plastic bag and the pattern was basically folded in half so was rubbed and crinkled in the middle around the stack of fabric. The fat quarter bundle was just a stack of fabric badly cut with lots of selvage, inside out , and just stacked together – not neatly folded and bundled together – again jammed in a small plastic bag and wrinkled. Won't order from them again.

Been ordering from Connecting Threads for several years now. I have never been disappointed with any fabric purchase. Reason for this review is as follows: I made a purchase of about $65 of fabric for a quilt. When it arrived I had set it aside so I would not be tempted to start the next project when I was wanting to finish the current one. Well as it turned out I then opened the box of fabric nearly a month later and started my next project. Well when I got to the borders of the quilt I realized I didn't have the 2 1/2 yds that I selected for the outside border. I was nearly sick to my stomach since it was the most expensive of the Fabrics and it wasn't in the order. The following morning I called and told the girl on the phone what had happened and to my surprise the girl told me she would get it shipped out to me right away. I was in awe of her answer. I was sure I would get hassled since the purchase was nearly a month ago. I will continue to do all my fabric purchases with Connecting Threads. Also all my purchases are here within a week. Thank you!

Takes forever to ship then marks item shipped and not really shipped. Took almost 3 weeks to get my order. When you call to confirm order shipped, if not and you want to cancel, claim order is in warehouse and cannot be cancelled. Supposedly has 3 or 4 websites and not enough people to cover their orders. Several orders I placed, I did not receive the item I ordered but someone else's order and had to wait an additional week to get my order — almost a month. Nice fabric but does not know how to keep up with the business end.

Fabric quality is fine but avoid the precuts or ensure you have plenty of extra!

I have been shopping Connecting threads for a few years and always been happy with the quilting cottons I have bought. Their prices are very good and the collections are nice. The website is easy to get around and shipping usually runs within 7 days. None of the fabric I have gotten has faded. The clearance items are great. Customer service will get back within 24 hours.

Be very careful of their precuts. They are not what they appear to be. The precuts are not packaged well, are not measured and cut well, and they way they detail fabric yardage on the invoice can be very misleading. The precuts seem well-priced till you realize that there are only a few in each collection, and if you want multiples of the prints, you must order multiples of the precut collection. They fray because edges are not pinked, and fray badly. BUYER BEWARE–customer service is also slow when you question your order contents.

I bought a LOT of fabric from Connecting Threads, which I PRE-washed, btw, to make the "Labyrinth Walk' quilt for my grandson. After hours and hours and hours and hours on this very involved quilt, I washed again, and all the fabric fairly SHREDDED on every single seam, which were hundreds!!! What a MESS! Tangled knots of threads everywhere, big HOLES where the fabric shredded BEYOND the seams, etc etc etc. I have NEVER seen such a mess (I am an experienced sewer) or been so discouraged in my life. I emailed them pictures of the shredded fabric, to which their reply was, 'they hadn't had any other complaints'. I cannot believe I am the ONLY one this happened to!!! BUYER BEWARE!!! If I could have selected ZERO stars, I would have!

Here is a little unknown gem of a website that sells cotton quilting fabric, thread, quilting supplies, books, patterns etc. I admit I am not a sewing bee queen but I needed some cotton fabric for a decorating project and this site had fabric at a very decent discounted price. They offer cute cotton fabric in a variety of prints, batiks, and colors. They aren't major brand but it is a major savings from anything I've researched. Shipping was quick and the cost of shipping was pretty fair.Check it out
