I really like the ScreenConnect features, but the constant "sales" to upgrade to the full scale business platform is not kind.

Three reason not to buy ConnectWise
1. too complicated
2. Expensive
3. No resources

Took my customer environment down and tried to cancel the subscription and sent us to collections.

Not a good partner.

As a long term customer of Connectwise, in the first years, I couldn't praise them enough.

Recently, it's all about the money. We roughly spend circa 拢40,000 a year with Connectwise and for the last 5 years. However, for them, this doesn't seem enough to be classed as a valued customer. Money comes first, customer service last.

For those wondering whether to join Connectwise, if you do, increase your budget by 30%, assume you will have problems and good luck!

Just got asked for a review for a recent purchase, and haven't purchased or used the software in years. It was great software 5+ years ago with a great pricing structure. I want to say it used to be $200 for a self hosted 1 tech site license, which was the bee's knees for my small shop. Then they were bought by another company and the price jumped over night to over $2k. I left them and never looked back. At 2k might as well use logmein. The best part about the software was being self-hosted at a reasonable price.

ConnectWise has been a critical partner for our business for over 10 years. I'm not saying we could not do it without them, but we certainly would not be as profitable if we did not use their products and services. Basically, their people and their company culture make all the difference.

I really appreciate this product. Maybe some improvement with devices/multiplatform compatibility and performance. Ex. Control with Chromebook, Android, etc. But an overall really good experience and a good server maintenance and reliability.

Without Connectwise Control (fomrerly Screenconnect) i would not be able to have current amount of customers while i am a single selfemployed technician. It saves a lot of time behind the wheel. This solution is almost perfect. Even if i am building/preparing/repairing PCs or servers on my service desk – which is 2 meters away from my main seat – i am using remote control to work with that pc without hassle and walking between service desks.
MORE! In Europe we have now GDPR, and self hosted solution allows serving customers without a ton of papers and agreements.
Post scriptum: It doubled my income – because i can do more IT work instead of driving a car….

lots of extra fees for everything, hard to get onboard, mobile access is horrible. if company doesn't use a dispatcher it's super difficult for techs to clock in when they start a job at a client.

ConnectWise is wonderful. Very user friendly, even for the not so tech savvy users (me–haha). I would recommend this program to anyone looking for a reliable and safe connection mode. Very fair pricing for the product provided!

ConnectWise Control is a really great multi-platform remote support solution. Unlike a lot of competitors who are limited to Windows and MacOS, ConnectWise supports Linux, ChromeOS, Android and iOS. You also have the option to install the solution in your own infrastructure, or subscribe to a hosted version in the cloud.

So the product, feature wise, is very rich and very good!

The problem is it seems to have some critical flaws that prevent it from being the best on the market.

1) Resolution scaling is done so poorly it actually hurts our user's eyes. This renders the product unusable when you need to remote in and say, work on an excel document or database application for an extended period of time. It's so bad we've tried forcing graphical enhancements on it via GPU as well as manipulating scaling via windows 10's built in per-application scale capabilities – but it looks VERY bad when compared to say, Team-Viewer, which we also use.

2) When multi-monitor is present on the end-users machine, the product seems to want to stream the entire multi-desktop setup all at once, despite selecting a given monitor as the one we want to display target. The result of this is that even when we show only one monitor through the software, it gets notably slower and lags with delays between opening applications and even mouse-movements feel clunky. Again, Team-Viewer does not suffer from this issue.

There are a lot of pluses to the product as well: Upgrading and distributing the software is easy and works very well. Customizing the interface is very simple thanks to some great admin center add-ons, and reliability for connecting successfully has been astounding. For these reasons we still use connect-wise, but screen-connect could be the industry leader if it'd overcome just these couple limitations. Here's hoping for improvement!

Has saved me countless trips to clients. Fast, reliable, and easy to use, I find my computer support service is more accessible by my clients when using ConnectWise. Cannot imagine life without ConnectWise.

We tried and demoed all of the options and ConnectWise is the best remote connect utility for the money. It is very fast, easy to setup. It has all of the features you need to provide remote support for a group of remote PCs. They continue to upgrade it and add additional features. Great product.
