Oh, there are definitely a few maliciously intended bad reviews left on here. And what's sad is that I recognise two of those users, one of them is known by the entire community and has become a sort of meme on the forums. He was banned for consistent behaviour, not on a whim. As a long time member myself, I know this.

It has been my experience that moderation is fairly light on Conquerclub and at times, too light. Trolls do frequent the general sections of the forum, but in recent times, mods have become less tolerant of that. I would advise new players to join the SOC Academy. They give tips on the game, but it's a great way to get to know the nicer people. Those who have stuck around for a little while might like to try their hand at joining clans or tribes.

Us oldies are always happy to see new members join up.

I love Conquer Club. It has it's flaws, certainly. The UI for starting a new game is a bit confusing for a new player imho. But start simple, create a few bot games and see how it feels.

The general area of the forums can be a little bit of a turn off, but I generally choose not to post in them. Mods have gotten better at putting a stop to the trolling though. I've been a member now for over a decade on and off. I returned because of the covid lockdown and found my love for the game again.

I recommend that new users sign up for SoC training via the forums. They add you into a group where you learn a few tips and meet more players. And if you do stay around for a couple of months or more, try your hand at joining a clan or a tribe. I've personally done these things after joining and met some really great people. The site has around 6,000-7,000 active players currently, and you can use the Global Chat to call people to join your games to fill them faster.

Just thought I'd post my positive experience to balance out the negatives.

I am very disappointed. After 7 years with Conquer club, today they asked me to change my password for security reasons. So I tried to, and now I can not get into my games… It won't take the old password, or the new password. And there is no option to say I forgot password… So I am screwed and will have to start all over from scratch… this is so wrong, is just sucks…

I was looking for a good place to play Risk online. This was one of the first results, but I quickly noticed how low-quality it was.

After reading a length terms-of-service page, I made an account. Then I noticed how un-navigable the interface was and all the things on the home page. I simply wanted to play Risk, but this website overloaded me with random things, while they kept charging me for extra features.

Then, I read about how insanely harsh the moderators and administrators of this site are towards seemingly-random players. I wanted to delete my account, or at the very least change my username, but I can't even do that.

The community is pretty small at this point (~5000). Best place to play risk if you enjoy a challenge. It can be hard to find the people worth being around. Most people that frequent the forums are trolls. Most worthwhile players/people are in clans but it can be a bit exclusive to people who have been around awhile. Reach out in callouts to find people to play with and see where it goes. Ignore the trolls. I highly suggest playing here if you enjoy risk, I'd love to see it thrive again, but think it is past its peak with a very dated UI and not enough income to do any real updates.

So, my kids played Conquer Club on an account i created. Lord knows what they said/did, but i played a couple times and noticed their rating wasn't too high. Anyway, they went to college, I closed the account.

I decided I have a little more time now, so on 8-20-19 I opened a Conquer Club account. I have no idea what my old, long dead and forgotten and deactivated account was that the kids used, nor did I think it mattered, so I just started a new one. Less than one month into my play, on 9-5-19, after being accused in an exceptionally rude manner of having multiple accounts and lying about it, and after giving a full and honest account about my one and only current account, they deactivated my one and only account. $31 wasted.

My ENTIRE interaction/conversation regarding this matter with Conquer Club was literally with one player in one game, who apparently has the power to get anyone kicked off the site… even if the accusation is having multiple accounts when they can clearly see only one active account exists.

I'm cool with spending my time elsewhere, I just think it's honorable for potential customers to be informed.

I was a long term player accepting that the dice and map drops were rigged but played anyway. Lately the owner and his cohorts the mods have started picking on new members and banning them. They of course allow you to renew your membership if you pay an additional fee. Player BEWARE. Awful site

I was a member of Conquer Club for 7 1/2 years. I climbed the ranks and eventually achieved the ultimate singular rank of "Conqueror" (the highest ranking player). During this time I noticed several practices that appeared to me to be unethical. I brought this up to administration only to be told to be quiet and leave it alone. When I continued to voice my complaints I was banned for several months of posting in forums. When this ban was lifted, I continued to be a voice against the unjust and unethical practices that were rampant amount the moderators and administration of the site. I was eventually permanently banned from the site with no refund of my Premium membership fee.

This site is most definitely corrupt and treats it's members with discourtesy and malicious retribution if you bring to light their unethical practices. If you provide them your credit card for payment of a membership fee, beware of them keeping the card on file and charging additional fees without notification or permission.

I am in the process of filing suit against the owner Morgan J. Arnold and his company Big Wham LLC based out of Los Angeles, CA. I have filed complaints with the BBB, Attorney's General of several states, the FTC, the Department of Consumer Affairs of several states and other organizations which help consumers.

My name is Paul Skyland and you may email me via my name @gmail.com if you wish to share any more of your experience and collaborate on bringing the unlawful practices of this company to justice.

Closed my account and that of my son because we play from the same computer on the same network. Apparently they thought we were cheating, even though we never played the same games together, or against similar opponents. No discussion, no questions, just accounts closed and two $30 fees lost. I high recommend staying away from this site.

The site cancelled my account and the account of my son because we play from the same house on the same computer. Never played the same games together, never played the same opponents. Didn't matter to a site that had already been paid and now has denied service. As they are not a US company, getting the $60 back is not worth the trouble So, save yourself some hassle from an unfriendly website and don't even visit.

Totally Rubbish, dice system is corrupt, favors the admin people and high ranks who are all the same, do not waste your money !!!!

This site they would have you believe to be totally random and fair to all, however, you will soon learn that it is in fact rigged in many ways, particulary if you are associated to the site where you will find that they are favoured by all aspects including map drops and dice rolls.
They also get you to pay for a yearly subscription at a cost of 拢15.00. I have been a member for just under a year and been accused twice of cheating by having multiple accounts. With this they cancel your subscription and get you to pay another 拢15.00 to reinstate your account.
They have no evidence to support there accusations an just use this to extort more monies from you.
The site should be investigated for fraud and I strongly advice no one to pay any money or submit any financial or personal information
ALL BEWARE !!!

Moderators have their favorites and ban anyone who their favorite instigators come into disagreement with. It's a horrible culture and they definitely don't live by the motto that the customer is always right. In fact the customer is never right. Mods are on some sort of weird power trip and will actually instigate you and then ban you for responding to them.

They claim to have over 700,000 members on the front page… In reality, they have less than 7000 active members. They make it sound like this is the site to be playing on so they can scam you out of your money. They are falling fast. If you pay and it shuts down, you lose your money.

Play for free (4 games and very little choices), but DO NOT give them money.

They will try and tell you if you pay, you can play unlimited games and have more options for your games. It's not worth the money when Secret Diplomacy runs rampant with the "old members", yet the site does nothing about it even though it is against the rules.

If you are new, and you are accused of Secret Diplomacy, you are automatically guilty AND, they CANCEL YOUR MEMBERSHIP! Even though they have no evidence other then a couple of their "old members" making the claim. Then they tell you that you must PAY AGAIN to reinstate your account!

You are forewarned!

I've been playing on Conquer Club since 2009, and I love all the maps and settings available. One of the best features of the set is the active community. In addition, many players go out of their way to help new players learn the ropes. I highly recommend it if you like Risk-style games.

My 13 year old niece was inappropriately approached by a 40 year man. It was decided by the people in charge (and much of the community) that my niece had asked for it, and was responsible for attracting the attention of a pedophile predator. I kept an eye on this predator and was accused of stalking. The site managers then granted the pedo predator anonymity by changing his username. I have been warned and punished for raising issue over their views that children/women 'ask for it'. This site is run by men with very misogynistic attitudes. Even the female bots are programmed with very sexist 'rapey' phrases like "stop! not in the mood!" . Keep your women and children away from this cesspool

Groups of friends named clans gang up on you, you start with a low score and higher ranking players take you out so they loose less points.

The moderators are the worst aspect, cancelling memberships for comments that their petty uptight minds can't deal with, even though you haven't broken any rules as stated in their agreement. No recourse for their decisions either.

I recommend starting a free account and returning the favor.

This site is as rigged as they come, the dice are anything but random and the drops are just ridiculous. As soon as you do well and gain a promotion, you immediately do rubbish and get a demotion. There is no skill involved and the whole game runs on a cycle. Play for a mess around but do not invest your money into it. Stay as a fremium as you will do better, thats the plan, they want to make you think your doing good to spend the money. They should be arrested for fraud and shut down.

This site is an excellent source of challenge and strategy community! I have played many hundreds of hours of the original board game and almost 2,000 games on this site. The worst thing about this site are the occasional bitter player who doesn't believe the randomized dice stats and complains in chat.

The 24 hour turn feature allows the gameplay of Risk to take place with your coffee, or after work, without a major time commitment required to participate.

An excellent source of good, on-your-time, fun!
