I ordered a COAST dress to wear as a bridesmaid for my best friends wedding, which they charged for 拢85 for. As it all looked pretty legitimate and the website states "100% authentic coast dresses" I decided to go ahead. Shortly after I found the same dress on eBay locally and opted to cancel before the order was dispatched, I was told this was not an option and could return the dress at my own expense (not what their website states, at all!).
When it did arrive, what came was a cheap knockoff. It didn't look ANYTHING like to image on the website and wasn't the even same colour. It certainly was NOT worth the money I paid for and we'll see whether or not I am able to get a refund.
As their response was to ask me to return it, doing so would cost me at least 拢30, since this clearly came from China.
I am furious and cannot stress enough to stay away from this place! It is a completed and utter scam!!
** NB – I had tried to find the location of the website before ordering, as I am very wary of Chinese discount online stores. The website stated they were located in the UK and USA and therefore I felt more comfortable about ordering with them. That, and the fact their website explicitly disclosed that all items are authentic brands and they are an outlet store.
I argued with them over months and months and ultimately had to file a complaint with my bank who returned the money to me and would seek to reclaim this from CornerStoneJapanTown directly. I never received an update and can only assume it was eventually recovered by the bank after this was escalated.
Their website is still active and still showing "authentic" pieces from Ted Baker, COAST and Hobbs.
