ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS EXPERIENCE
Awful customer service, waited 5 HOURS!! For an agent to to turn up after a two hour drive to meet them. No apology I鈥檓 so disappointed in this company, will definitely not be recommending to anyone. Do not use, they are rude and unorganised. Due to their mistake we had to wait and they then couldn鈥檛 be bothered to try and help us out.

I used Countrywide Conveyancing to sell my house.

It was a very difficult and stressful time. My Solicitor, Dale Powell was absolutely fantastic from the start.

He always kept me informed straightaway of any progress whether it was good or bad news. He explained anything I did not understand in full, and responded to any query I had quickly.

Would not hesitate to use Countywide again and/or recommend them.

Please can someone contact me regarding 21198181CT2

Having had very poor service at the start with no working contact details provided to progress matters Natalie reassured me that I would receive the service I was expecting, However, a further 4 weeks have passed and still waiting to move, with no contact or updates from Countrywide. An absolute joke. If you want a smooth sales / purchase transaction use a local solicitor, not one that you cannot contact despite their claims in their sales literature of 24 hour cover and weekend support..

AVOID at all costs!
Countrywide and their customer services department are absolutely disgraceful in their treatment of customers after they have agreed to adhere to all requests from me as a customer And I fully explained why I needed specific requests to be met, I signed the agreement, they completely ignored me then when I tried to leave they are expecting to have me pay for not even selling my home! They are very difficult to work with and as soon as they have you sign a document they just don鈥檛 bother with you!
What is much worse is I explained to them that due to anxiety I really needed a company which would be in contact with me to offer reassurance and they agreed to this and stated they would ensure they followed up on
This and then did not for months!
My mental health have severely suffered due to their behaviour! Do not use!!! They lie on the phone and call from personal mobile number so it鈥檚 not recorded and lie when in your home to get you to sign agreement!

If you are thinking of trusting the Preston office with your rental properties I would advise against based on experience from the mismanagement. They ignore emails, constantly make mistakes, lose documents, have put tenants in one of my properties at risk of hard by not dealing with an electrical fault and more. You have a choice, do not choose countrywide / entwistle green Preston. They don鈥檛 actually care about the service they give – they want the money. Take a look at Twitter and see the shocking feedback that people are posting.

If I could give a 0 star review then I would. I don鈥檛 usually write negative reviews as I believe there is two sides to every story but I feel that I need to warn others about this company. We rented a property through Countrywide. Before we moved into the property there were certain things that needed doing for safety, we were told they had been done and on arriving on our move in day they had not. We had various problems with our landlord but I do understand that this is not the letting agents themselves. However, the letting agents breached data protection and gave our phone number without consent to a relative of the landlord who was not in any documentation for them to collect a parcel they had delivered to the house because they couldn鈥檛 be in themselves (without agreement.) We were then harassed by a relative of the landlord on several occasions. We raised several concerns with the letting agents and things were not acted on. We were given a great deal of misinformation and unfortunately we have now been told that the Lettings Manager life to us (we were told this by her colleague.) Due to the various issues we had, we requested in writing that we ended our tenancy early. This was dealt with, the house was put up for rent again and we had it agreed in writing from the letting agents that if we could accommodate viewings and have someone else move in, we could be released from the tenancy. We accommodated several viewings only to find out the day after we had signed a new tenancy agreement for a new property, that they had not got the landlords permission. Therefore they retracted what they had given us in writing and put us in significant financial hardship. The communication was poor throughout with several mixed messages. The team were unprofessional and were not truthful with us when viewing the property. I would advise everyone to steer clear of countrywide. Unfortunately, it appears that we are not the only tenants that have had problems as even their inventory company told us that they had heard horror stories about countrywide. When researching countrywide prior to going ahead with the tenancy, I came across the poor trust pilot reviews. I decided that most letting agents had poor reviews and I wish I had not given them the benefit of the doubt.
In addition to this we had a carbon monoxide leak and were told by the gas board that the gas safety certificate was highly unlikely to be legitimate due to the timing of the certificate and the amount of carbon monoxide leaking and the age of the cooker. Countrywide did nothing with this information.

Countryside surveyors!!! I received my report from Countywide. It started off the report on a 3 bedroomed house that was fully occupied and furnished. My house is 2 bedroomed, unoccupied and unfurnished. I think that speaks volumes.
I couldn鈥檛 advise anyone to use them

If you email customercare you just as well email thereisnocustomercare at countrywide you will be just as likely to get a reply from If I could rate their letting service with a 0 I would. They changed our electricity supply to Spark Energy the biggest rip off merchants in the energy industry prior to us even signing our contract. Their management service is dire. If you complain they cover each other's backs. They respond to emails only if and when it suits them. You tell them you have up to date electrical safety checks to find through your tenant that they are still sending someone out though. Having complained they assure me that the call out was cancelled. Gas safety checks similar. You have to have these done 2 months in advance. I was hounded to have this done and was told they would send out their engineers if I didn't produce a certificate within 7 days. I had instructed the same engineer as they used. I still had a month left to go. You need to check that you aren't billed for things you have crossed off your contract. I have spent more hours trying to sort out the mess they have landed me in than if I had done the full management myself. Never worth the agro! Having put in a complaint their findings were that there were no wrong doings! Gutted I could not resolve my problems in a reasonable manner leaving me no alternative than to put up a review to prevent others from landing themselves with a company that simply don't care!

Michelle Allaby @ Bridgefords Burnley helped me with my mortgage and with my insurance – she went above and beyond to make sure it was as stress free as possible

Valuation came in 拢15,000 less than what other estate agents have priced. The surveyor ran around the house and was done in 5 minutes, due to the low valuation we where unable to remortgage the house

PLEASE AVOID IF POSSIBLE!
Took over 3 weeks to return my deposit, slow responses and them taking so long to return my deposit caused a huge delay on my next rented property.

Barclays will not lend me mortgage unless Countrywide surveyors will value my property. They have already taken 拢1800 as arrangement fees, so my hands are tied, I cannot change lender. For last 31 days I am calling countrywide everyday. I have been given only one phone number where I could not get to leave a message, let alone speak to anybody. It asks you to email them instead, which I did without any reply. My current lender Clydesdale bank raised my monthly payment from 拢900 to 拢1750, as my discounted period is over three months ago. So Countrywide is costing me 拢850 every month! I do not know where to complain.

Honestly where i do i start. Still trying after a month of leaving a rented property to get our deposit back. AVOID at all costs as I've never dealt with cowboys sooo bad in my life. They fail to even read the most basic of emails and let alone Acknowledge that you have contacted them. Had a serious mould build up in the house took over a month before even anyone came to look, then nearly 3 months later no work carried out still just emails of we are waiting for a quote….. like hell they are. Will be raising a dispute of the fess they charge for leaving (and we didn't leave our agreement early) i advise any one to seek legal help or raise a dispute once you do leave as they will surely try to charge you fees that they can not.

Incompetent firm and a complete waste of money. Failed to spot serious damp issues with my property and were not interested in providing any solution. Stay well away from these sharks!!!
Raised complaint after complaint and they were not interested. What is the point of the survey if they do absolutely nothing about issues they completely miss!

Worst company in the world, amateurs and Negligent, failed to identify an extension, failed to spot actual DPC level issues, failed to spot issue with surface water running against the building, failed to identify terrible pointing that hides subsidence cracks.

Pittance of a settlement offer, not worth the paper it was on, only option is court case.
Or mediation which they will tell you, you have to pay for.
If you can go elsewhere then do, and ask your bank to use somebody else, claim a conflict of interest or something.

Either way find a local surveyor or another company where they have people skills.

OK so two years on from these clowns managing my properties it鈥檚 time for a change. Considering property management is their core business it鈥檚 incredible they do it so badly.
Maintenance and repairs take months be be addressed
All work with their 鈥榩referred contractors鈥? likely giving kick backs is over priced, unmanaged, unsupervised and often of poor quality
Invoicing is frequently late and incorrect
The staff have to be endlessly chased to follow things through
The staff lie and try to distort past promises

Pretty poor performance from Countrywide (in the guise of Taylors of Huntingdon and Bairstow Eve Peterborough). Taylors closed the office and then promptly lost our keys, Bairstow Eve although initially helpful trying to recover the situation then lost interest as they were too far away. Fully Managed Service that we were paying for was a joke. Countrywide Maintenance are incompetent and overcharge by almost double compared with local contractors, They clearly have no interest in looking after the Landlords interests. I gave up using them and dealt directly with the tenant and local contractors. Avoid if you have any alternative!!

An absolute disgrace. Wish I would of read the reviews before using them. Never get to talk to the same person and that's if your lucky enough to get through. Not kept up to date. Kept saying they hadnt received signed for post. To top it all off my buyers pulled out 24 hours before completion and I got AN EMAIL …no call…telling me. To say it's made me ill is an understatement . Was told to contact RENEE BREEZE so I did and she hasnt even bothered to reply. Now I'm stuck in my house with boxes everywhere and still no explanation or apology.
These people are a disgrace!

AVOID AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE!!

We paid for a full homebuyers report, surveyor came out did the survey, informed us there was nothing wrong with the property and continue with the purchase and that they would issue the report.

The company failed to supply the report and now we have had to my inheritance on repairing the property.

They鈥檝e also admitted that they didn鈥檛 actually survey the entire property and are refusing to send a copy of the report!

The customer service is shocking and were rude from start to finish. They also refused to send a copy of the report to CEDR.

DO NOT USE!!!

Disgusting company that shouldn't be allowed to operate. The manager of the Bristol branch (based in Clifton) is the worst person I have ever had to deal with.

Dixons of Castle Bromwich handled my late mother,s house sale, very efficient and professional. Even when the chain collapsed from the bottom Dixons resold within days and all went through smoothly. Very much appreciated and many thanks to David through this difficult grieving time.A big thank you to Dixons and wouldn't hesitate to use them again. Jackie.

Countrywide were recommended as they were the inhouse mortgage broker for Entwistle Green, the estate agent that I was buying a property from.

Straight from the initial phone call, I was led to believe that a mortgage of a certain value was well within the realms of possibility and so after a face-to-face consultation (along with providing documentation), I was given an agreement in principle and made a successful offer on the property. The Countrywide mortgage arrangement fee of 拢700+ seemed excessive but worthwhile if the broker could arrange this mortgage successfully.

At time of mortgage application, it concluded that the agreement in principle provided by Countrywide was not backed by any lender and was simply an inhouse certification that falsely suggested a mortgage amount possible. Therefore the broker was unable to achieve the full amount (as per AIP). Instead, they were only able to secure an amount somewhat significantly less (拢10k +) than their AIP despite no change in my circumstances/income.

Luckily, I was able to get in touch with Mojo Mortgages who could secure the mortgage (and only 拢1500 less than the Countrywide AIP) and were much more helpful, plus they were free!

I was disappointed in the way Countrywide acted irresponsibly and failed to accept responsibility for setting the expectations that they did. They continue to hold my personal data (bank statements, ID etc) and such matter has been referred to the Information Commissioners Office for investigation.

I'd recommend avoiding Countrywide PLC services which appear expensive and certainly do not deliver a decent service in my experience.
