First of all – I have no complaints about travelling with CP in general. However, my experience with them in handling lost items and their communication about this has been horrendous: False or no information at all when calling the hotline and no answers when writing them about the issue via their contact form. The end of it all: I'm not getting my luggage back even though I have been told that it was found. Very upsetting.

First experience with them was the counter desk lady was rude when getting tickets, literally yelling at me. Then I went on a train from Lisboa to Porto, with the train that has like 12 stops and does not have suitcase locks. My suitcase was stolen and I am 99% sure it was an organized crime by a professional group involving a female employee in a yellow vest. Be careful. It also involves another 2 or 3 people, 2 of them pretending to be a couple. I have reported it to the tourist police and even to Comboios de Portugal. I told them to look into that employee because they have cameras outside the train and still have not gotten a response. Keep in mind that there are no cameras on the trains to protect you and your seats are facing away from your suitcases. The fast train has locks and only a few stops so it is better. Trains are nice but I was surprised that we got no help from them what so ever. Only employees who were kind were the ones in Porto. Thumbs up to them. I suggest you go with the faster train, back watch your back. Also, I did purchase tickets online ones and the funds went through but no tickets. Then I HAD to go to the train station right away to have them fix it. They did, but it took me contacting them 2x to get the refund back. That I did get back.

Absolutely horrific service.

Do not buy traintickets here, I wasted 50 euros on nothing!

Asked for a refund a few days before my trip, and the staff didn't respond to my email until after my tripdate. They then refused to admit it was unprofessional and didn鈥檛 give me any kind of refund. In fact I did not even received an apology.

If you are interrailing, it is a nighmare to book tickets in Portugal. They dont have a booking sistem online or by phone, you have to go to a main station. I wanted to travel from the South to Lisbon and they told me I had to go to Lisbon to book it (!).

It as easily to buy our tickets. As it was writting, we re莽oive our tickets at the date previous.
The only problem is the language. We speak french.

They take the money online and don't give you a ticket.
Horrible service.

To avoid at all cost. Customer service has no clue how the company operates and has zero knowledge of the procedures. Any possible alternative of this service would be a huge upgrade. If you are unlucky and have no other choice, be sure that the train you are using will be late, the surprise is when the train is on time.
