The CraftCloud service was terrific. It gave me lots of choices that can be daunting for a person who never had any 3D printing service experience. But thankfully, a wizard-like UI and intuitiveness make it one of the best services I have seen out there. I'll recommend CraftColoud to others any day.

I utilized Craftcloud a handful of times and on average I'd give it two stars. My first few prints were fine and reasonably priced (3-4 stars).

When I sought to get a larger order than the tests I had done earlier, things got pretty bad though. Using the same design file I had used for a successful test run, I got a large order of unusable prints.

After going back and forth with the company and the sub manufacturer (Jawstech), they said they would not replace the unusable prints because they fell within technical tolerances (measured by the outside of the model for some insane reason). The key points were round blobs of print material instead of the angular design that had worked before.

I'm only out $80, but got a nice lesson to go directly to a quality manufacturer next time.

Terrible service. My order ended up taking twice the time it was estimated, but I received no updates, I constantly had to chase to get them, even when the support staff said they鈥檇 keep me updated, they didn鈥檛 get back in touch. Definitely not how I would expect to be treated.

Updated.
The part was sent by next day delivery, but hasn鈥檛 arrived.

Update
Still not arrived. The manufacturer made the mistake of using UPS, the one courier who swam incapable of navigating brexit. I very much doubt I鈥檒l ever receive my part. I know I鈥檒l never use this service again.
If you鈥檙e in the UK, I鈥檇 suggest using one of the many UK based 3D printing services, much quicker and easier.

***Further update*** Craftcloud took less than two hours to respond to a negative review on this site, and yet have somehow taken more than 50 days (and counting) and 70 emails to sort out a problem with the order. This tells you all you need to know about the company and the service they provide. Even now when they are on the fourth attempt to fulfil the order they somehow thought it unnecessary to check that the order was being delivered to me with the result being yet another two week delay. And they informed me of this without a hint of an apology or contrition. I would take away the single star above if I could.

I really hoped that I would not have to add yet another update, but poor quality printing (twice), lost orders, delay after delay, a truly ridiculous number of emails and still I do not have the parts I ordered. Not to mention the disingenuous responses to my review (the discount they refer to below was a discount on the new, much higher price they charged to get distortion-free replacements printed and still left me paying more than the original cost of the order).

I really hoped that I would not have to add yet another update, but yet another unexplained delay (the ninth delay so far) left me with no choice.

***Update*** After a truly abysmal experience with Craftcloud I鈥檝e had to update my review yet again; something I very much hoped I would not have to do. I鈥檝e decided against going through all the machinations that have occurred over the 65 days and more than 60 emails it as taken so far (I have still not received my parts) and will instead keep it as brief as possible from here.

Simple choice: Choose Craftcloud if you want a 3D printing service that sends you poor quality prints on multiple occasions, parts printed the wrong size, warped, lost and delayed time and time and time again with no notice and a customer service department that requires more than 60 emails (and counting) to sort out the issues. Choose another company if you just want a quality print to arrive on time.

Yes, those numbers are not exaggerations; it has now taken 65 days and more than 60 emails. And I should also note that their response below is very misleading. I twice received poor quality parts (they comprehensively exceeded Craftcloud's own tolerance limits by a huge margin and had gaps between layers you could see daylight through), wrongly sized parts, and every single time the parts have been delayed. That is very different from a print unexpectedly failing at 95%.

Lastly, I'd add that the individuals I have dealt with for the most part have genuinely tried to help, however it is clear that the company has serious problems with its service and attitude to orders that go wrong.

Original review:
I should have trusted my instincts after an earlier bad experience. While the first time their customer service team did eventually sort out the issues there was still a long delay. This time has been even worse as it appears that Craftcloud has dispensed with most of its customer support department since. Slow responses, long delays with no notifications, no way whatsoever to contact them about an urgent order, not to mention a complete lack of apology for both orders being significantly delayed without notice or reason. Avoid.

TL;DR:
Craftcloud offers every permutation of material, finish, and shipping options you can imagine, and is backed by the best customer service (thank you, Elizabeth!!) I've experienced in a decade. 3D printing still feels like the wild west land of opportunity, so good customer service for when (not if) things go wrong is invaluable in this world.

Longer version:
I came to Craftcloud because I needed to do a production print in a hurry. It turned out to be quite the adventure.

For some background, the print had to have millimeter-level precision (to fit a body part's contours), high durability, and some amount of flexibility. Max turnaround time from design to production was around 14 days. Oh, and I'd never 3D-printed anything before in my life (fwiw, I did 3D modeling back in college (2000-2004), and I currently work in a multi-disciplinary design field; I figured I could figure out Fusion 360 between the Internet and YouTube tutorials.)

I managed to complete the model in 2-3 days, and then it was on to printing. It's worth noting that I knew almost nothing about 3D printing before I jumped into this project. So armed with my requirements and some research, I started narrowing down print options. The great thing about Craftcloud is that it's a marketplace that tries to offer every reasonable permutation of material, finish, and shipping options. I eventually settled on a permutation that I thought would work, placed the order, and went back to a life not dominated by Fusion 360.

The order arrived in the mail a week later. I took it out of the box, and as I was trying it on, it broke in two at a seam (the part seemed to have been printed in two pieces and glued together?) I groaned because time was running out, and then fired off a message to customer support.

Enter Elizabeth.

Elizabeth helped me quickly diagnose the issue, contacted the printer, and got me a full refund! To add to that (and this may make me sound a little nuts), her emails were extremely well-written, demonstrated great critical-thinking skills, and truly addressed all my concerns and questions (none of that back and forth where the customer sends three questions and the customer service rep only responds to one). My point is: the correspondence was actually a pleasure. For my part, I volunteered to reuse the refunded money on Craftcloud (I still had a part to print after all). I made a few modifications, picked a different material, and sent off another print order. This time I paid for expedited shipping because I was seriously down to the wire.

The new part arrived right on time. This new print had 3 sub-parts (by design). One of them printed perfectly, but the other two were seriously warped. The cooling process or the resin were probably at fault. More groans, and I emailed Elizabeth again. Time was almost out.

Again, Elizabeth promptly helped me diagnose the issue, and without my prompting, reached out to the printer for a reprint. A reprint showed up a couple of days later with a personal note from the CEO of the printing company apologizing, and informing me about how they fixed the issues. The new parts were perfect. The only problem was: the deadline had passed and I didn't need the print anymore. So I reached out to Elizabeth again.

I suggested that it may be fair for me to receive a partial refund and split the cost of the project. Craftcloud and the printer, after all, had gone above and beyond to rectify their mistakes鈥攖he outcome here was just timing and bad luck. Elizabeth responded by telling me that she'd already requested a partial refund!

So, in sum: in a span of 2 weeks, I received 3 prints (total value was approximately $300) of which two were faulty, and one was sent for free. I paid only around $50 once all was said and done. And while I did experience the disappointment of missing the finish line by a hair, the incredible level of attention I received from Elizabeth and Craftcloud Support, the meaningful attempts at mitigation, and the refunds, easily made up for the groaning. The added benefit was that I learned some hard-won 3D-printing lessons鈥攌nowledge that I credit at least in part to Craftcloud supporting me. So as far as I'm concerned, this is where I'll be bringing my future 3D-printing projects (albeit with more turnaround time on hand).

Thanks, Elizabeth & Craftcloud. Even though my project got hit by a classic case of 2020, you made the process tolerable (even pleasurable). Stay safe!

Time taken to print and ship were just right. I was always informed on the process of my order. There are a few lines in the resin that are absent from a previous order but not enough that I couldn鈥檛 work with it. Overall a great experience. Will certainly use the service again and recommend.

Craftcloud is my go-to for price-checking for pieces I need cast or printed in materials I can't print. Easy to work with. Their support is responsive. They have regular updates on the progress of my prints as well as shipping estimates. A fantastic service, and I can honestly say I would not be in the business I'm in now without their help. They've revolutionised our workflow.
