I didn't get anything from Crate and Barrel but I DID get their catalog in the mail and I have to say only people with more money than sense would but things here. Everything is over priced on the order of +500% minimum. Seriously, a bundle of Palo Santo sticks for $19.99? I can literally get the same thing at my local new age store for $3.99. And that's just one example, with every page I turned I saw things priced at $99, $199, $499 that I could get (exactly the same thing) for a fraction of that cost elsewhere…

Well it looks like slave and honey today barrel is fearing too well. Just really bad, people come in sick red nosed. Get you sick take points away, instead of hey go home your sick. Nobody really cared. Offer people jobs answerinh phones that have no gift to grab. 0 rating. I should be their manager.

Horrible! Will never shop at again. I bought a bunch of things online 7 months ago, still have not received full order, been told by staff online and in store that I would be contacted by someone still have not heard back from them. At this point they've pretty much robbed me because I have no products and have not received any money back for the items they are holding hostage from me. Disgusting way to do business.

I never thought in this day and age that a company would not have a email account! I never thought that when you have to talk to someone about an order that it would be this hard to get in contact with someone at a place of business! I bought on line glassware on Aug 16,2020 and used a paypal account through my husbands paypal account and never got a order number or any shipping information and it has been a week since I placed an order! They did however take our money! My husband tried to get ahold of them on the phone it says 24/7 but when I went to check them out on line it says not open on Mondays! What a terrible way to do business. I would never recommend Crate & Barrel to anyone. And in order to do a review I have to claim that I am not writing a false review now why would I do that! And I have to register on Facebook to make it legit! What a ass backwards company this is for sure!

Crate & Barrel, what happened to you? Let's just say this company has taken a nosedive in customer service, particularly their online department. I placed an order online for an item that was backordered. Before placing the order, I contacted customer service via text (they no longer are taking phone calls?) and the rep assured me I wouldn't be charged for the item until it was available. Well that turned out to be a lie, because right before I hit "Place Order" I was warned that I'd be charged a 50% deposit. Uh, OK, whatever. I also asked for a coupon to be applied to the order that wasn't working for me, and, again, the rep reassured me it'd be done. Well, I contacted them 24 hours later, after it appeared the full amount was now being charged to my credit card. Not only did they knowingly charge the FULL AMOUNT of the order despite what I agreed to on their website (50% deposit), I found out the 20% also wasn't applied. They tried to weasel out of applying the discount because they claimed it wasn't a valid coupon AND said that I would have to pay the full amount because it was a store pick-up versus having it shipped. That made no sense to me and certainly wasn't disclosed when I made the purchase, which means they are fraudulently charging people amounts they don't agree to. I immediately told them to CANCEL the order and I'll never be doing business online again. What a nightmare!

Ordered two sets outdoor table and chairs. One table and chair received broken.
Customer service amounts to 20 minutes on hold and being persuaded to pick their text option. Text option is crazy stupid… 5 days of text 4 different folks… replacement table is 4 months away… when I ask to cancel the replacement table… customer service hit rock bottom… please run from this company. Do not reward this practice of companies trying to wear you down with hurtle after hurtle to cancel a purchase due to their poor customers service. I would never recommend this crooked company or its business practices… this lack of customer service is a well thought out business plan… not a one off… please read the other bad review

On June 27,2020 I ordered three items off of a bridal registry at Crate and Barrel. All items were in stock. When they finally arrived two of the three were broken. I texted, called, and emailed trying to get the items replaced in time for the shower which was on August 8th. When I finally got the replacements one was correct and the other was just an entirely wrong item. More texts, more phone calls (after two hours on hold for each call I finally hung up), and more emails which included sending pictures of the correct item repeatedly, and I finally received the correct replacement on August 6. From start to finish, for my one order, I received 22 emails from Crate and Barrel customer service and at least three texts, Not to mention the multiple hours I spent on hold hoping to talk to a human being. Fortunately, the bride-to-be did get her items. However, at the shower two other gifts from Crate and Barrel were opened and found to be broken. Such a shame! Terrible customer service.

I placed an order on June 4th this year over the phone because the NYC store is not opening during the circumstance. The rep took my address wrong and I didn't realize it until I hung up.
Called in the change it and the second rep didn't change it successfully. Called in the third time and the manager assured me the update was done, but after 10 days I got a fedex email confirming that the package is going to the wrong address.
The worst is here, I called in to make another request and the person told me they couldn't do anything about it. I had to call fedex to reroute the package. I expressed that I'm the receiver so I'm not allowed to do so (learned from past experience); she interrupted me multiple times over the phone and said "other customers successfully done it in the past". The result was, I tried fedex and they said I'm not allowed because I'm the receiver. The package went to someone else's home.
I had to call again and I'm just sick of it and would like to cancel the whole thing. The person said the package is ready to go out. I insisted on cancellation and the rep agreed.
Yesterday, I got another email confirmation that the package was dispatched with Fedex. It's almost been a month and almost 10 phone calls I still didn't get my order……The worst customer service ever, not jut very unprofessional, has zero patience, and did not solve any problem at all.

A bed I ordered was first delivered on June 11 with missing hardware. You'd expect this kind of logistics blunder from much lesser brands, but not with the premium we pay for CB merch. And so began the customer service nightmare. I was passed between so many cs reps I've lost count, and each time having to re-explain what happened and re-express my frustration having just moved into a new place with our newborn without a bed. It's almost as if the note each rep left for another was "customer didn't get some bolts for the bed lol". Initially it also bordered on insulting when all they could offer was a refund on original shipping or 10% discount or 15% discount (they give 15% discount codes to newsletter subscribers almost daily…). A week ago finally arrived at an agreement of a 20% discount and that the replacement bed would be delivered a week earlier than what the previous rep insisted the earliest humanly possible delivery date could be. I had asked for confirmation of the delivery date and I received one. That day has come and passed today with no delivery and no answer when I called the delivery company number. I mean I really don't know what to say anymore…

No customer service. May 23, I ordered a coffee grinder. June 8, I requested cancellation– the order wasn't due to ship until later in June. I received an automatic reply they had received my email, then nothing. June 9, I received an email the shipment would be additionally delayed. I tried to call them– hours on hold on the speaker phone, never connected. I waited patiently for a reply for the first cancellation request made through their website– it never came. Then June 24, I get an email "my order has shipped." They ignore my requests– I will ignore this store and never shop there again.

The shipping time and customer service are extremely concerning. You pay a premium for worse customer service than Walmart. It took 6 weeks to ship 5 plates with no response to inquiries. It鈥檚 actually unbelievable that people are still buying from the company.

The WORST customer service I have ever received. I called on 5/28 in regards to an issue I was having with one of their gift cards. I was told I鈥檇 be contacted within 7 business days from the finance team. It is now 6/17 and I have heard nothing back. I鈥檝e tried calling them back only to be on hold for over an hour and disconnected. Don鈥檛 even bother with the automated system that supposedly 鈥渉olds your place in line and calls you back鈥?I tried that twice and never received a call back. I will never shop at this store again.

I have purchased over $700 worth of merchandise over 2 orders. The first order shipped out in a timely fashion. The flatware from that order had black spots after 6 weeks of use. To get anyone help me to return the items is impossible. Unbelievably bad customer service. The second order was placed over 3 weeks ago. It has not shipped yet. Crate and barrel is the only company to charge shipping during the pandemic. Stay away from this company!

I ordered what I thought was a crib set and ended up with just a crib quilt. I spent $88 – $66 for the item, almost $14 in standard shipping (which didn't happen for two weeks), plus tax. Upon getting on to start the refund process, I have discovered I will only be refunded half of what I spent!! They will ONLY refund item price, nothing else, and then tack on a hefty shipping fee of $18. So, I spent $88 and never opened the package but will only be refunded $48. That will be the first and last time I order from Crate & Barrel or Crate & Kids.

I ordered a toaster on May 24th. It is now June 14th so I checked my account only to find out my order had been cancelled. I was never notified of the cancellation nor do I know why they cancelled it. I tried calling numerous times only to be on hold for 45 minutes to an hour. I finally gave up, which I'm assuming is what they want. I will never order from this company again. BEWARE.

I ordered a bread machine, only to be notified shipping is delayed to about 4 months from the order date. Now, I no longer need it.

I get it, it's a pandemic. But I've been trying to call them to cancel the order for three weeks, and every time I'm placed on hold for 2-3 hours, then they answer and hang up. I tried sending a message on the website. ATTENTION CRATE AND BARREL. If you are reading this, I need to cancel my order! How can I reach you? This is insane.

I understand Covid has upended everything but I have been on hold for over one hour… and still waiting. Just absurd. If they're going to take orders (and money) during this time, they should staff sufficiently to handle customer inquiries. I will never order from Crate & Barrel again.

I ordered 2 chairs on May 1 and received an email saying my chairs would be delivered May 15. I have never received them and I cannot get a tracking number from them. I am not going to sit on hold for 1-2 hrs so I emailed and texted customer service. I never received a reply via email, but did through text 2 weeks later. I had asked about a tracking number and where is my order. My reply was we were sorry that it was taking so long and refunded my shipping cost with no answer to my request on shipping or tracking number. They did say let me know if you need anything else. So I sent them back a text and said yes I wanted my request answered and then I said I would give them til 6/10 to answer me or I was going to contact American Express and deny the charges. Terrible customer service. I will not buy anything from them again

WORST IN-HOME DELIVERY SERVICE. When I pay substantially more to get furnitures delivered in my home, I expect the delivery guys to place the furnitures in my house as promised. Instead, when the delivery guys came, I opened the door for them, went to move my shoes out of the way, then found out that they already left, leaving a gigantic box blocking my entire doorway. What kind of "in-home delivery" service is this? And customer service line is so backed up that they won't even be able to address this issue anytime soon.

We ordered furniture from Crate and Barrel and were charged several hundreds in deposit. The estimated ship time was half a month ago (mid-May) and when we track it online it still says processing. We have tried emailing a few days ago with no response and have been on phone for literally over 2 hours waiting to talk to someone. It seems impossible to receive any word from Crate and Barrel.
