I really didn't expect to be approved due to my situation – but thought I would still apply as I did need the funds to cover my expenses that week. This was first thing Wednesday a.m.
After applying, and speaking with someone on the phone (who was very nice), I was told to send in the requested documents, which I did immediately.
After you send them in and sign the loan agreement, they say to call after an hour if you don't hear back when to expect the funds. So I did, and was told they received all the documents, and I should expect to hear back soon.
I then called back about 6 hours later, and was now told that they were awaiting verification from my HR department for confirmation of employment (they named my HR person by name). My HR person was away that day, so I then had to wait until Thursday. However she contacted them early the next morning as she asked for my consent to discuss this with them.
Then after lunch on Thursday, I still hadn't heard anything so I called again. I was now told the decision is currently with the lender (aren't they the lender?) – and that I should continue to monitor my email and texts for a decision.
I guess my first question is how would they not already have a decision if they even bothered to contact my HR to begin with, but maybe that is just me.
It is now the end of day Thursday, and I really don't expect to have an answer before the weekend, or at all.
I have dealt with every other payday lender online in Canada, even the ones who aren't licensed, and this is by far the slowest service. The people on the phone were all nice, and someone will always answer the phone – but they can't tell you what is going on.
I know my situation is bad and most likely worst than most – but just tell me if you decline me and I will move on. But waiting two days for a $750 loan – you might as well just go borrow it elsewhere.
1/5 stars regardless of the decision of this loan.
If you need money in a pinch, or are in a temporary bad situation like me – go anywhere else.

**Will re-evaluate once my loan application request has been completed.
No Final Loan Decision Yet But…
I submitted my application late Friday night and completed the final stages of the application process (i.e.called to receive my contract, then returned with documents, etc.) later Saturday afternoon.
Upon returning the contract/docs I received an email instructing me to call their 1-800 # for an update if I didn't hear anything an hour after I submitted final details. By the time an hour had passed it was close to closing time so I held off on calling for an update but sent an email for them to review Sunday.
Promptly Sunday morning I received a response instructing me to call the approval department for the update. I gave them a call and spoke to a very nice lady who was profeaaional, efficient and very energetic.
Although she didn't have any new information to provide me with she assured me that my file was with the approval team for final review but because it was Sunday I likely wouldn't hear back until Monday morning. This information would have been sufficient but without missing a beat or being probed for more info, she went on to explain that if my loan was approved Monday morning the loan funds would reach my bank account by 6:00 PM EST. Talk about going the extra mile!! Was almost like she read my mind lol….only wish I could remember her name!!!
So although I don't have a final decision yet, I wanted to post about my experience thus far as things have gone relatively smoothly and everyone I have interacted with from Credit700 have been ah-mazing!!
Will update my review once my application is complete…regardless of whether I am approved or denied.
****To whomever submitted the review pertaining to Credit700's funding schedule, or lack thereof, on the weekend:
The info on their website is pretty clear with regards to when loans are funded – there is no mention anywhere of funds being issued Saturday or Sunday….unless I am missing something?
In my experience, lenders who can fund loans over the weekend do so via Interac eTransfer. It would be great if Credit700 offered this as an option (maybe they will in the future?) however, since it doesn't appear as though they claim to fund loans 7 days a week your review is unfair, misleading and false. But that is just my humble opinion 😉
