I accidentally on not knowing that it is a scam applied for it.

I was on a website (which i do not wish to disclose) and the site said the membership was free, but they needed a credit card for verification. So when I applied i checked my account and $40 was gone. But the website said to that my details would be on crewedits. So i went and they said if a customer wasn't happy they'd refund you. So I emailed and asked for a refund. But they never refunded or responded.
Is Crewedits.com legit or scam? Can I trust Crewedits.com?
