Golden Retriever Scam

We found a seemingly legitimate website selling golden retriever puppies that they would ship for 500.00. After contacting the company and receiving confirmation that "Bruce" was still available for purchase we wired money to Houston Texas. The flight itinerary was sent but the dog never came. They replied to my husband's phone call stating that we had not sent the 3000.00 refundable pet insurance and that the pet would not be sent without it. At this point, I had realized we had been victim to a scam so no more money was exchanged. But the website is still up and running and I would like to make as many people as I can aware of this site so they do not make the same mistakes.

Golden retriever scam

I was looking for a golden retriever puppy on line and found one for $500.00 plus shipping. The breeder contacted me and told me that I would have to send him $500.00 plus $366.00 to have her shipped from Texas. I was told I had to send this money by Western Union, which I did. I was given her flight information and told that she would be her by 7:00 p.m. the next day. I received another call from another person named Sammy Walters also from Houston, Texas who stated I needed to pay $1,780.00 for insurance to cover her during the flight from Detroit to Boston, MA. Another person involved was David Mallow who states he is the owner to Tranz Pet International Movers. At 5:24 p.m. I was told that I would need to rent a temperature, comfort crate due to the weather during the flight which was an additional $1000.00. We contacted him and told him to rent the crate himself and get the dog here as at this point we knew that we were being scammed. The dog does not exist in accordance to other information received. At this point we have spent $2,807.00 on a dog named Stacy that has never come.
