My experience mirrors that of most people on this site. If I could have given a zero I would have done.

Errors in their statements and communications following the final bill following the sale of my house in Oct 19. I received the final bill in Dec 19 and I paid it in January 20. I just got an email demanding another 450gbp saying that:-

"Kindly note the revised Final Bill 25/08/2018 – 11/10/2019 we issued you is correct according to accurate readings supplied to us. Please refer to the bill as It seems the first bill was based on an estimated close reading which was inaccurate sent by the Gas Transporter. The revised bill is correct as it was based on accurate close reading."

Given that I was the person who provided the, apparently, inaccurate, 'estimated close reading' (not the gas transporter) and that I attached a photo of the meter in question, I have now asked them to confirm who they believe provided them with the 'accurate close reading' that they have based their final bill on. I look forward to the reply…it should be fairly entertaining.

It is shocking that there is/was a company that was actually worse than Daligas. Extra Energy are truly abysmal. They are in an altogether different league of appalling.

I am still communicating with them more than two years after closing the account with them. I have recieved a number of increasingly unpleasant pseudo legal threats from them based on their erroneous billing and errors and no ability to respond to get a response in writing. Absolutely appalling. I have given up talking to them on the phone as every (lengthy / expensive) call has been a waste of time and although most individuals have been charming and have promised to resolve the situation, so far, they did not. Furthermore they won't give me the name/contact of an individual for me to contact in writing to resolve it. They are a disgrace.

Daligas is an awful company. They are rude, charges are outrageous and their accounts a mess. They do not respond to questions never answer emails unless to increase bills. AVOID them if you want a peaceful life

This company is a MALIGNANT CANCER. They are rude, unavailable, never answer emails or direct questions. Unbelievable that a company like this is allowed to provide such a shameful standard or customer care and common decency. I have now consulted my solicitor who will be dealing with them directly. They are bullies and have no genuine care towards members of the public. Keep away and dont let this cancer take hold.

I moved into my flat and the gas was with Daligas and so I wanted to switch to a provider of duel fuel ( it seems after my enquiries Daligas cannot get an electricity licence ) then the hell started , firstly they objected to my switch , when I contacted them they said no, they had not objected. Next thing I get a letter from ACS debt recovery threatening to disconnect my gas supply, then another letter next day and then a letter stuffed through my letterbox by hand, saying ACS had called to talk to me but I wasn't in ( I was and no one knocked ) threatening me again that a warrant of entry would be served to enter and disconnect ? ( the gas supply is in a box outside ) This sort of behaviour from a Gas company is unacceptable and I have reported them to the Ombudsman. But what bothers me is the threats ,I am a pensioner, so I know they could not have legally cut me off for whatever reason , but if this is how they operate how many vulnerable people have they done this to. They should not be allowed to operate. UPDATE…. It gets worse .. They eventually sent my final bill 拢155 dated from July 2019 I moved in December 2019 so I emailed to tell them they had charged me 5 months too much… 10 emails later they eventually said they would adjust my bill accordingly and send me a new bill, that was 20th Feb. I was still waiting when today I got a wonderful surprise ! another threatening letter from their debt collection company ACS saying I owe them 拢225 and if I don't pay they will take me to court. Now that is extortion. I have emailed all parties and will update again when I get replies. It is beyond belief …All I want is a correct bill. EXTRA UPDATE…. Sent 5 emails today and I have eventually got a bill at 19.33 tonight it is correct and I paid it immediately ! The weight has been lifted !
I also found out today that Daligas have been banned from taking new customers because they will not become DCC users …ie Smart Meters .So BEWARE ! Another UPDATE just got another email off the debt collection company today 23/06/2020 saying I still owe money ………( Obviously just got back into work ) told them that maybe they should chase Daligas because they probably wont get paid for chasing me for the money I do not owe !!

Awful customer service. I moved into a property who was with Daligas already. I tried to change as soon as I moved in & it months. They tried to charge me huge amounts of money and caused a lot of stress. I was only able to leave after threatening to contact an ombudsman. Definitely avoid.

They are a complete frauds! Be aware when you sign up if you still want to!

At the end of your contract they do NOT inform you it is running out, that it will be renewed automatically and with the charges of nearly 100% more than you had agreed.

Their monthly invoices do NOT include rate you pay and in fact tell you that you are on a contract, whereas you have not signed a new one, especially with such prices.

They send you a VERY general e-mail shortly before renewal and nowhere in that e-mail is the information that your contract is running out and that it will be renewed and on what terms (there are only general links to their "rates").

I have complained but when eventually heard back got a very brief reply telling me I could have contacted them because it is "easy to do so" – what a drivel!

I have used in the past plenty of various energy suppliers for both personal and business use and have NEVER experienced such a complete con!

Joined years ago. Was good for a while – and cheap. The prices are no longer that competitive. The biggest issue is on leaving – I鈥檓 sure they overcharged next about 拢230 on my final bill but I have no way of checking this – their final leaving bills and general leaving process is terrible – and always in their favour. What am I to do – and the customer service is utterly useless.

I expected the regulator will catchup with them eventually but I鈥檇 love to join a class action against them.

I'm surprised by the number of bad reviews here. Was with them for 5 years and recently changed (because found cheaper dual tariff – Daligas only does gas so no option to go dual).

They were the most straightforward energy provider I had ever dealt with – a real person always answering the phone promptly, pdf bill by email. No fancy app etc but always worked perfectly well and it was decently priced.

Actually, my new energy provider caused me a bit of a headache because the transfer went a bit wrong due to the fault of the new provider. I called both the new provider and Daligas to fix this and although I had already left them, they were really helpful in resolving the issue and giving me really helpful advice and helping me chase it up.

Been with them for just under 5 years now, can鈥檛 wait to leave.
Would have given them 0 stars if possible. First 2 years they were the cheapest and paid only around 拢35 per month next year it went up to 拢48, the following year I was told I underpaid for 2 years and they tried taking over 拢700 from my account. After questioning them of this and asking how did they not realise for so long, I wanted to leave but didn鈥檛 have the funds to pay the total amount. Agreed on a 12 month instalment of 拢60 per month, but they also increased my month bill to now 拢128. So I was paying 拢128 + 60 =拢190 per month.

Last week I received an email when I questioned it, the advisor (RAKESH) couldn鈥檛 answer the question and saying things like 鈥業 think鈥?this and that, so I said I want actual answers not what it might be to which he hang up the phone.
After receiving this sort of service from Rakesh, I had a complaint to make. I called and spoke to the manager (Nina) and putting my case through and telling them to listen to the phone conversation, but instead of any sympathy I was told Rakesh is one of the best Customer service agent and I must have been abusive. I told them to listen to the phone conversation.
It鈥檚 shocking how this was all turned into the customers fault or problem, the lack of customer service provided and now accused instead of investigating the matter. I will leave next month once the final payment is made.

At such hard times if they provide bad customer service they will not retain many customers and good luck with generating new ones.

I have used Daligas for a number of years and always found them good until now. More than 拢1,000 wrongly taken out of my bank account without any pre-notification.

Spoke to a customer service agent who agreed that the money should not have been taken and promised to refund immediately. It took 12 days to refund part of the money and am still awaiting the balance.

I always judge a company on how they react when something goes wrong. In this case they score 0/10 and will be moving my accounts from them asap.

What a terrible company! Money fiddling!

This company emailed me tonight at 9:40 telling me to make a payment by 15th July (obviously this has passed) there attaching a late fee. This is disgusting behaviour and a very bad way to treat your customers and try to swindle money out of them.

Also we have already set up a direct debit with this company to pay gas monthly so how can we be overdue????

I switched to this company probably 4 or 5 years ago – they are small, and have a basic looking website and so look a bit tin-pot. But whenever I do a price comparison every year or so they always come up with good rates. No problems with billing and efficient.

No problems with Daligas. Rates competitive and deals very fair. Simple tariff, gas only. They aren't trying to be too clever! Yes, their paperwork may be a bit muddled from time to time but no unfair behaviour. They don't have oodles of different tariffs that change every five minutes to bamboozle you. Nore do they trouble you every five minutes so just make sure you agree with them a fair monthly rate to cover your likely annual consumption based on the tariff, pay by DD and sleep easily. A no hassle competitive supply company and likely not a risky one, so you'll probably not see a need to switch frequently (or be forced to) as may be the case with some suppliers.

Informed Daligas that my Mother had passed away and I wished to give a final meter reading, the bill was always paid by direct debit so it should have been quite easy for Daligas to either take last payment or refund any money that was in credit on the account. I left direct debit open for them to do this. It has taken many emails and expensive phone calls and this still has not been resolved. I sent a photo of last meter reading and yet they still estimated the reading. Turns out that the account is in credit despite them estimating the final reading, a difference of 62 units in their favour. Still not received refund into the bank account and despite giving them my name and address as I am dealing with my late Mothers estate, they are still addressing emails and letters to my Mother. Their excuse is that everything is computerised. Extremely poor customer service from Daligas, I would not recommend this company.Update, received email from Daligas to say that refund would be on 12/04/19, this did not happen.Dreadful unprofessional company.

Have used Daligas for two years and about to sign up for a third year.
It is a marmite company. If you want cheap gas great. If you want monthly usage bills forget. I receive a bill covering my direct debit monthly only with an annual wash up.
Yesterday I phoned up as nearing end of my contract year and the phone was answered immediately to my amazement and armed with latest meter reading told KWH usage for year was 15% below forecast so refund due. Their fixed renewal price quoted I can't beat after extensive search so will renew for another year.
They do not come up on comparison websites (even Which? or Money Saving expert) as being cheap so assume they do not pay fees to those sites, unless I have been given a special renewal price which I very much doubt.
Don't go dual fuel as for three years I have found separate gas and electric much cheaper. Less convenient but for an hour's work on the internet once a year who cares.

If i could give less than 1 star to this company I would. avoid them and don't be fooled by their initial low price. They have been supplying my property since 2016 so nearly 3 years. The first 18 months were fine. I supply meter readings every couple of months which they ignore and say the onus if upon the customer to ask for an interim bill. They take about 12 months to send you an accurate actual bill. After 12 months they did (when i tried to switch as contract coming to end) they provided a new bill more than 12 months old to highlight a 拢2000 shortfall. The switch was blocked, then i was put on a higher tariff with a threat to pay all in one go immediately or face disconnection. Then i provided further readings and showed i was in Credit. I made further payments then started to receive letter from debt collectors with threats of disconnection. I have referred the matter to ombudsman.

Do not bother speaking to them on the phone or even contacting their complaints dept. They do not want to know, they spout contradictory policies on the phone, they talk over you and dont even attempt at resolving any legitimate complaint. they do not provide actual bills with meter readings that are even estimated. They just make an assumption based on what you think your annual usage is then set an unrealistically low budget plan and 12 months later hit you with a higher bill. they then blame you for providing an initial low estimate of your annual killowatt usage as if you are supposed to make sense of number going round on a dial.

I thought they were good at first due to their low price but now would prefer to be with any other supplier that actually produce bills not false budget plans

These type of companies start off competitive then try and charge you what the bigger companies try and charge. They need to remember we only go with them because of price.

I like Daligas, I've saved a lot of money over the years, but what's clinched it for me is that my local housing annual service check broke my meter by mistake but legally couldn't fix it. Spoke to a lovely woman on the phone and the engineer is out as I am texting this, refitting a whole new meter, which takes about 2 hours. Very happy customer.

Nearly 4 months to sort out my final bill, now they threaten me with a 拢50 fee on top of the bill if it isn`t paid within 5 days, this firm is a joke, avoid like the plague!!

Honestly terrible. Their communication, when it actually occurs, is a joke. I live in a private rented property and was never aware that they were supplying the house until they contacted me two years later with a bill over 拢600! They then gave me two different final bill amounts, despite my providing a meter reading. I've been in contact with their [email protected] email address and have experienced nothing but incompetence and a lack of professionalism.
