My son received a phone call regarding our timeshare someone wanted to buy that we have in Mexico (Villa Del Palmar). My son gave them my phone number and I was made an offer of $16,000, which is way outlandishly high. They sent an agreement for us to sign stating we will receive the monies within ten days after signing. I felt this was too good to be true and thought it could be a scam so I ran the name and phone number through Google Search and can not find them as a legit business. Found lots of complaints regarding their phone number. Figure they would contact me after signing and say they need something to be paid before the exchange. It was so obvious a scam I did not proceed.

We were approached via phone if interested to sell our time share in Aruba. After discussing details of our ownership, they indicated they would try to find a " buyer" for us. Approx. 3 weeks later , we received a contract in the mail saying a foreign buyer was located and wanted to purchase the timeshare. They sent us a contract and asked us to review and get back to them with signatures, then they would proceed with the closing. The offer price for the property was over $ 20,000 which seemed very high. Supposedly they would get a 5 % commission, and the balance we owed on the mortgage would be settled at closing. They asked for no upfront money from us, but were going to confirm that when I spoke to them today.
When I looked up the company online thru Google, I saw the results said this company was a scam. Obviously we are not going thru with the sale, as I assume they are going to come back asking us for money upfront. I am going to check back with them regarding any upfront money we will be asked to submit. I want to delay posting to see if they approach me for money within the next week.
