They are free for 50 passwords only, +the software itself is buggy it does not recognize the right frame to put the password in. It is really slow as well, just awful software to be honest.

This just doesnt work. Waste of money. It doesnt log in automatically on Mac and now on Windows every page has to be reloaded for Dashlane to even recognize the page exists and then it still wont login.
There are much cheaper and better password tools with exactly the same functionality available today.
If you want to avoid total frustration dont give Dashlane your money.

Dashlane constantly glitches, won't open or gets stuck open in front of my browser. It also consistently saves logins from my browser and then loses them immediately causing me to have to continuously reset passwords.

That would be reason enough not to use the product but then they are also dishonest and shady… not something you want from a company that has access to your passwords.

I originally signed up in their early days after receiving an offer a forever free premium account. Well, randomly after about 2.3 years, they turned that off. When I asked them about it, they said "ooops, sorry, that's just how it is".

Then they had their free plan allow you to use Dashlane on multiple devices, however, the data wouldn't sync across devices. Fine. Fair enough, you need an upsell. I get it. But… now they have disabled Dashlane on all but one of my devices saying my plan now only supports one device. That's new. What happened to being able to have it on multiple devices just without syncing??

Not the type of company I want to support and I am subsequently moving to another password manager that one of the top web security experts in my state said "is much better than Dashlane from a security standpoint".

I have been using Dashlane for quite some time now. As Password managers go, maybe there is some room for improvement, but it appears stable with some occasional quirks.
Like I installed the Edge extension, and it says enter your first password !! Come on Dashlane.

Great app and time saver. Some inconsistency with populating credit card info but a minor inconvenience.

It works like an absolute dream – except at work. The admin policy is such that their iterations of Firefox and Chrome are completely bolted down = no extensions = SAD.

I still use Dashlane of course but I use the copy&paste function (although work is RIDDLED with passwords as they haven't quite come to grips with SSO so Dashlane would be the absolute BEST thing).

VOdafone Germany made an upgrade in the internet speed. With this improvement, regretfully my Dashlane VPN was not able to connect some specific sites.
I contacted Dashlane at first place, because I supposed that the issue could be related with a new version released by them. Dahslane customer support help me from the first minute with clear steps to find what could be the problem. At end, we deduced that the problem should be on the internet provided side. I want to highlight that DL customer support even offer me to have a call in order to find the problem. Fist level support for a first level product.

Very happy with the software; it works perfectly. It is easy to set up and use and is much simpler than trying to remember different passwords. Also has a VPN program included but I don't turn this on all the time as makes web pages slow to load. Happy.

I have been with Dashlane since the free beta. It's the best password manager I have ever used. The only sad part is that they didn't grandfather us into some of the more recent features (VPN). It's a great all around password manager that's grate on all devices. Where other such products maybe good on one platform but buggy or completely different on others. Dashlane is completely uniform across all platforms making it quick and easy to use. It's also nice to have more then just passwords like the secure notes and two factor authentication codes.

When Dashlane is working, I absolutely love it. I would have definitely given it 5 stars if it worked all the time, but there are those times when it is, I guess, a little temperamental, and even though I would be on a website that Dashlane has listed with my sign on, it just won't sign it on. I then have to go to my Dashlane, look up the site I am on & get the password. As I said, other than the times it does that, it is fabulous.

With Dashlane I have organized my login credentials, generated strong passwords, and sync them in the app on devices at work and home. When I first installed it I took the opportunity to review the dozens of website logins. I now have unique, strong passwords for over 300 different logins. (I didn't even know I had 300 accounts…) I am happy to break free from Chrome and Safari, as Dashlane works with all browsers on my computer as well as on my iPhone. Further, I have installed the dark web monitoring which alerts me to change passwords when a site has a data breach. I've received about a dozen alerts in a year, but my passwords were already stronger than what they were before. Having such well organized passwords gives me peace fo mind.

been paid user for almost a year, not a great service, the login pop-up tends to stay stuck, when signing up- for example this site. wish they would drop the VPN and drop the price.

With so many passwords necessary some kind of password manager is required. It does a good job of auto-filling login information.
The item that is lacking is an icon in the toolbar to show that VPN is active. VPN often closes on it's own and the only indication is a message that appears for a few seconds in the upper right corner that I virtually never see. VPN is a critical tool to protect sensitive login and other information. I hope some indicator of an active VPN becomes available soon

I have been using Dashlane since its beginning for free and store some 150+ password to access from laptop and smartphone. Saves a lot of time to log in and for online purchases.Works on a vast majority of sites and when not, I can retrieve the password that I have–off course–forgotten, from Dashlane apps. Be sure to remember the Dashlane access password though, there is no remedies if you do!
I have no access to the newly develop features of Dashlane such as "secure file storage", it is something I could use but I still balk at the cost of the premium solution. Even with the limitation of the free solution it is a good start to keep your access codes safe.

Dashlane is far the best password manager that I have come across and would recommend it to anyone.

Reliably secure

I have been a user for a few years. First of a free version then of the paid one. The Chrome extension is not as consistent in populating credentials at log on, as I would like it see.

Since it uses 2 way verification, I found myself in a very difficult situation when my phone got broken while traveling. Tech support could not figure out how to verify my identity without my phone and that left me in a very precarious position. I wish they had some secure, but practical alternatives that rely less on technology.
