Rip off. I listed one item as a test, not knowing (because they had no information on it) that they would be closing shop in a month! The item cost .25 to list, and it was only a test. They billed me 5.25 with late fees!!! I paid it because I don't want the hassle. Who knows, that .25 listing fee might have ended up in the 100s of dollars. Scam artists.

Bad management of items and customers.
Ridiculous assistance service (and only in English, regardless of the portal suffix).
They were already bad; now, with the inclusion of the insertion fees they've definitely gone down.
To be avoided like the plague.

DaWanda are crooks and like a lot of sellers say, they falsely charge you insane amount of late fees that they don't tell you about until they have reached a considerable amount. Then they threaten you when you say you were never told there was a late fee of 0.5 Euros and now have to pay 30 Euros!!!!
Keep away from these scammers!!!

Very poor purchase experience on two occasions we placed orders and nothing turned up. When we wrote to customer service they haven't bothered to respond except for an automated message in German because clearly they don't understand that there are other customers outside Germany. really bad outfit

Attention on this site for sellers!!! They are dishonest because they do not admit the site has errors.
They are demanding 100鈧?for what I owe them 0.70鈧?br />
Please read on…
When I signed up they were offering FREE listing. At the beginning of 2017 they sent email that they will be charging listing fees. After receiving this email, i received another email which read as follows.
" Some of your listings on DaWanda have ended because the duration period of 120 days has expired.
If you would like to keep this listing available, you can reactivate it in just 2 clicks."

When i went to batch re list items it still gave me free listing as before. So i re listed my items. The system prompted and and said zero listing fees.

In the meantime I re listed 2 items individually and the system prompted and said 0.35 鈧?of the euro for each , for which i accepted.
After the end of 3 month duration, I received an invoice for 45鈧? I contacted them about this. They did not acknowledge that the mistake was an error of their system, and added penalty fees instead for late payment. And then gave the matter to a debt collector in Holland who in his email is saying that DaWanda fees are 60鈧?and his fees are 40鈧?and i need to pay a total of 100鈧?
In looking into my DaWanda account today, it shows that I owe them 3 invoices total of 97.21鈧? so which is it now? the 60鈧?on the debt collectors invoice? Or after my account is de activated more and more is added on and it is now 97.21鈧??when in fact i owe them 0.70 鈧?listing fees of two items i accepted to re list and the commissions on the sale of those 2 items.
Their reply at first was that me items were automatically bulk re listed, I argued that they had no right to automatically bulk re list items since they changed their policy and are now charging fees. Then they replied that I re listed the items myself ad it was not automatic. But when I re listed the items their program prompted and stated zero listing fees.

If anyone else has had a similar experience with DaWanda please contact me.
I have been selling online VERY successfully since 2006 on ebay and 2010 on Etsy, never had any issues.
They also have a terrible policy when the buyer does not pay, you are still charged fees then you need to check on their big mess of an invoice with different transaction numbers, try to identify which transaction it was and tell them and then they deduct the fee from your next invoice.

I am willing to pay if they can prove that i received a prompt that i was being charged and that I clicked that I accepted.
Every time I bilk re listed i was offered ZERO listing fees.
I ask again DO YOU HAVE PROOF THAT I WAS PROMPTED WITH CALCULATED FEES AND I ACCEPTED??? If so i dont have a problem to pay. And finally what are the fees owed? Every time it is different

And in concluding, you already charge 10% fees on the sales so why to charge listing fees? Ebay charge 10% but offer zero listing fees. Etsy charge 20 cents of the dollar listing fees but charge 3.5 % fees on sales, but YOU want it all AND listing fees AND 10% fees on sales. This only makes the seller to have higher prices on your site and diminished sales……

Platform only availible from time to time but commission is WAY higher then on other platforms where you also can sell handmade items.

When giving discounts to buyers you still have to pay the full amount of commission, on the other hand when raising prices they are also raising the commissions.

Very bad support at all!

I have a lot of items in my da Wanda store. Now I have to pay a fee for renewing my items… In the FAQ it is written : fees are not been taken for new or renewing a listing. After renewing a lot of items I have to pay 20鈧?which I paid. Today I receive an invoice but last 3 months there was no sale, and I have to pay sellingfees…. ? On my other invoices I noticed that the dates are not complete. Like: 10/02/201 the last number is not written. I think this is becoming a Scam.

I have had an awful experience with Dawanda.

A number of 'customers' made fake purchases from my store – they clicked that they were buying the item then never paid for it via the bank transfer system.

Dawanda billed me for these sales, I explained they were never paid. They did credit the sales but they apparently did it in such a way that meant I still had to pay at that time.
I was expecting the invoice would be cancelled since I shouldn't have to pay for a sale that was fake and that was what I believed had happened at the time – made logical sense that if you have been the victim of a scam you shouldn't have to pay to have been scammed also.

I stopped using Dawanda after those fake sales as I am just a small business and things like that are costly if they keep happening.

Anyway, 1 year later & I received very aggressive debt collection emails stating I had to now pay 50 euro as I had not paid my bill. At no point did I receive any notice from Dawanda that I had not paid an invoice & I had thought due to all the sales being fakes I didn't have to pay as I had been told my account would be credited.

It's really awful – I feel incredibly cheated by Dawanda. They are not a business that supports small independent designer makers they are an awful corporation that rips you off and doesn't do anything to protect you from scam purchases.

Like with any site with individual sellers you will get ups and downs.
All of the orders I have made have come fairly quickly and high quality items that I was pleased to give as gifts.

I like the blog, it has some cute crafty ideas and product spotlights.

why should i pay commission over an un-paid order?

what stopping them then from making false orders themselves?
Thievery.
